Time flies, and five days have passed in the blink of an eye.
That day, Chu Yunxiao walked into the room and saw Liu Anran sitting on a chair holding her child, feeding the child with a bottle, radiating maternal love.
He walked up to Liu Anran, but hesitated to speak.
Seeing Chu Yunxiao standing silently beside her, Liu Anran looked up at him and asked, "Is there something you need?"
Chu Yunxiao said nervously, "An Ran, my team urgently needs a batch of guns. I want to go to Yuncheng with Bai Lu. It may take half a month."
Liu Anran gave a soft "hmm" and lowered her head to focus on feeding the child.
Chu Yunxiao watched as Liu Anran fed the eldest child, then the second, and continued feeding all three children until they were full, without ever glancing at him.
"An Ran!" Chu Yunxiao called out helplessly.
Liu Anran smiled gently and asked, "Yunxiao, is there anything else?"
Looking at Liu Anran's flawless smile, Chu Yunxiao said dejectedly, "It's nothing."
Liu Anran brushed the hair from her face and said, "I'm a little tired. I'll rest if I have nothing else to do."
As Chu Yunxiao watched Liu Anran go to bed, he realized that there seemed to be a chasm between him and Liu Anran that he could never cross.
“An Ran, after I come back from Yuncheng, I will spend more time with you and the child.”
"Okay, go and come back soon, and be careful," Liu Anran said.
Chu Yunxiao walked to the bedside, bent down and gently kissed Liu Anran's forehead. "Anran, you and the child are waiting for me to come home."
Liu Anran reached out and stroked Chu Yunxiao's handsome face, instructing him, "Yunxiao, if you encounter danger outside, run away if you can't win. Don't stubbornly insist on fighting for the sake of saving face."
"I will. I'm leaving now. Bai Lu and the others are still waiting for me," Chu Yunxiao said with a smile.
Liu Anran withdrew her hand and said considerately, "Go ahead!"
Chu Yunxiao walked to the crib, glanced at the three children with lingering affection, and quickly left the room.
Liu Anran heard the door close and tears rolled down her pillow.
Chu Yunxiao was gone for more than twenty days, and he still hadn't returned by the time Liu Anran finished her postpartum confinement.
Qin Yuhan looked at Liu Anran and said guiltily, "Anran, I originally wanted to hold a full moon celebration for the baby and invite relatives and friends to celebrate, but Yunxiao didn't come back, and I feel very uneasy. Can we hold it after the baby's 100-day celebration?"
Liu Anran said understandingly, "Mom, this is the apocalypse, there's no need to worry about those things."
Grandma Chu was worried about Chu Yunxiao, so she instructed Qin Yuhan, "Yuhan, go find Xiaoxu and ask her about Yunxiao's situation."
Qin Yuhan was also worried about Chu Yunxiao. After hearing what Grandma Chu said, she immediately said, "Okay, I'll go right away."
"I've been feeling anxious these past few days, so I'll go with you," Grandma Chu said.
As Liu Anran watched Qin Yuhan and Grandma Chu leave the living room, she hurried upstairs and said to Yunlong, who was playing with his younger brother and sister, "Yunlong, go pack your things. We're leaving now."
"Okay." Yunlong didn't ask any questions and ran back to his room to pack his things.
Liu Anran packed away everything she and her three children used and wore into her spatial storage. She left a note on the dressing table: "Chu Yunxiao, I'm leaving. Don't look for me and the children. You and Bai Lu can be together happily!"
Yunlong ran into the room and said, "Mom, I've packed all my things."
Liu Anran put the crib into her spatial storage and said to Yunlong, "Go into the spatial storage and look after your younger brother and sister."
Liu Anran sent Yunlong into her spatial dimension, walked out of the room and locked the door. She said to the nanny, "I've been in postpartum confinement for a month and haven't been out for fresh air for a long time. I'm going out for a walk. The three children are already asleep. Yunlong is inside watching them. Please don't go in and disturb them."
"Yes, young mistress," the nanny replied.
Liu Anran strode out of the Chu family's house, and after only a few steps, she saw Liu Changqing walking towards her.
"Liu Anran, are you out of confinement?" Liu Changqing asked with a smile.
"Okay! I came out for some fresh air." Liu Anran said, taking out a car and saying to Liu Changqing, "I'm worried about Chu Yunxiao, so I thought I'd go check on him at the base entrance. I won't keep you company any longer."
Liu Anran got into the car and watched it drive towards the base gate. As the car drove further and further away, Liu Changqing thought of how Chu Yunxiao hadn't even been there for Liu Anran during her postpartum period, and felt sorry for her.
After Liu Anran drove out of the base, she floored the accelerator and the car sped off into the distance.
Chu Yunxiao sat in the car, looking at the Beijing base that was so close by, and smiled. He would soon see Liu Anran and the child. He hadn't been home for so long, and he wondered if Anran would be angry.
When Chu Yunxiao returned home, he found the house very quiet. He frowned slightly. Why was no one home?
The nanny, who was cleaning, saw Chu Yunxiao return and said with delight, "Young Master, you're finally back safe and sound."
"Where are my grandma and the others?" Chu Yunxiao asked.
"The old lady and the young mistress have both gone out," the nanny replied.
"Where is the child?" Chu Yunxiao asked again.
"The young master and the others are all in their room," the nanny said.
Hearing that Yunlong and the others were home, Chu Yunxiao quickly ran upstairs. When he reached the door and tried to open it, he found that it wouldn't open. He then knocked on the door and said, "Yunlong, open the door, Dad is home."
