Chu Yunxiao walked to Chu Feng's side, squatted down to look at her, and asked softly, "Feng'er, do you not like your father anymore?"
Chu Feng looked at Chu Yunxiao with innocent eyes and smiled, shaking her head as she said, "I don't dislike you. I like my uncle now, and I want to sleep with him tonight."
Although Chu Feng was intelligent, she did not know what "father" represented. Chu Yunxiao was the only person she knew besides her mother, brother, and younger brother. She spent very little time with Chu Yunxiao. If it weren't for the photo of Chu Yunxiao on the table, she would have almost forgotten that Chu Yunxiao existed.
Looking at Chu Feng's distant courtyard, Chu Yunxiao's face showed sadness. He regretted not taking the time to visit Liu Anran and the child.
Yunlong walked to Chu Yunxiao's side and whispered, "Dad, in your heart, we are just a small episode in your life. You don't care about us much. Why do you look so hurt?"
Chu Yunxiao looked at Yunlong in surprise, never expecting him to say such hurtful things.
“Yunlong, if I didn’t care about you and didn’t love you, I wouldn’t have taken the time out of my busy schedule to see you. How could you look at your father like that?”
“Dad, you have no idea what love is. Your love for us only moves yourself, but it doesn’t move us,” Yunlong said.
Yunlong believed that Chu Yunxiao loved him and his younger brother and sister, but not much, just a little bit. He felt that he loved fame, fortune and power more, and he also loved many other people, but they were just one of them.
“Yunlong, no father doesn’t love his child,” Chu Yunxiao said, frowning.
Yunlong frowned as he looked at Chu Yunxiao. "I can't feel your love. Every time you visit us, you take away a lot of things. It makes me feel like you're not visiting us, but rather that you're short of supplies and are coming to ask Mom for things."
Chu Yunxiao's face was filled with hurt. Was he really that kind of person?
"Yunlong, I came to visit you sincerely; bringing the things was just something I did on the side," Chu Yunxiao explained earnestly.
“Maybe! I don’t care. I don’t want to be called a scoundrel anymore. I will never go back to the Chu family.” Yunlong said, a strange smile on his face. “Dad, if I don’t go back to the Chu family, Mom won’t go back to the Chu family, and neither will my brother and sister. This is the price you pay for your inaction.”
"Mom may like you, but she likes me, her younger brother and sister even more. You overestimate yourself, so you will pay the price for your arrogance. No one will wait for you forever. I won't, your younger brother and sister won't, and Mom certainly won't."
Chu Yunxiao stared at Yunlong in shock. He was still so young; how could he possibly say such a thing?
Yunlong disliked Chu Yunxiao completely, even disliking him somewhat. He leaned close to Chu Yunxiao's ear and whispered, "Dad, we're doing just fine without you. We have food and clothes, and we're happy every day. If it weren't for the sudden appearance of many crows around our home, Mom wouldn't have taken us away from the mountains. Please don't disturb our peaceful life anymore. We're even better off without you."
Chu Yunxiao's pupils contracted slightly. Yunlong disliked him, even hated him.
Chu Chen noticed Chu Yunxiao's unpleasant expression, his eyes flashed for a moment, then he coldly withdrew his gaze. Chu Yunxiao was an insignificant person; his joys and sorrows were none of his concern.
Seeing that Chu Yunxiao seemed very upset, Chu Zhe walked up to him and asked, "Dad, what's wrong?"
Chu Yunxiao suppressed the surging emotions within him and said, "Dad, it's okay."
Chu Zhe frowned in confusion. His father looked like something was wrong! But why did he say nothing was wrong?
Chu Yunxiao stood up and patted Chu Zhedao's head. Of the four children, at least one cared about him, which brought him some comfort.
"Zhe'er, come home with your brother and sister and see the place where your father has lived since he was a child, okay?" Chu Yunxiao said.
"I'll ask my mom. If she tells me to go, then I'll go," Chu Zhe said.
Chu Yunxiao took Chu Zhe's hand and came to Liu Anran. "I'm going to take the child back to stay for a day. You shouldn't have any objections, right?"
“You are the child’s father, and I have no right to stop you from visiting each other. You can take them back to stay for a few days whenever they want, but you have to let me know beforehand and make sure they are safe,” Liu Anran said.
When Chu Yunxiao saw that Liu Anran agreed to let him take the children home, his bitterness dissipated considerably. A faint smile appeared on his face as he confidently said, "I will definitely take good care of them and ensure their safety. I will send them back tomorrow afternoon."
Liu Anran gave a soft "hmm" and said nothing more.
Chu Yunxiao walked into the living room, and soon Qin Yuhan and Grandma Chu followed him out.
Chu Yunxiao called out to Chu Feng and the others, "Children, come here quickly."
The triplets came to Chu Yunxiao's side, and Chu Feng asked curiously, "Dad, why did you call us here?"
"Dad is taking you home to see where Dad lives," Chu Yunxiao said.
Chu Chen looked at Liu Anran and asked, "Is Mom going?"
"I'm not going," Liu Anran said.
Upon hearing that Liu Anran wasn't going to the Chu family, Chu Chen immediately said, "If Mom isn't going, I won't go either."
Chu Zhe didn't want to leave Liu Anran and go to an unfamiliar place, so he quickly said, "I'm not going to Dad's house either."
Chu Feng was very curious about what Chu Yunxiao's place was like, and said with a big smile, "I want to go!"
Disappointment appeared on Qin Yuhan's and Grandma Chu's faces. Why was Chu Feng the only one willing to go with Chu Yunxiao? They turned their gaze to Yunlong, who walked to Liu Anran's side and said, "I will not go to the Chu family today, nor will I ever enter the Chu family again."
