Chapter 174 Fighting with a Middle-Aged Man

Liu Anran and the middle-aged man stared at each other without saying a word. After a long while, Liu Anran looked away and surveyed her surroundings. She noticed that the stone wall was also inlaid with luminous pearls, and she couldn't help but click her tongue in amazement. Just who was this man? How could he be so extravagant?

The middle-aged man saw Liu Anran's surprised expression and a smug smile appeared on his lips.

"Any one of the things I have here can ensure you'll never have to worry about food or clothing for the rest of your life."

Liu Anran saw him and asked, "Are these things edible?"

Unable to contain himself any longer, he said, "You've already drawn my blood, there's no point in keeping me here. Let me go! My child is waiting for me to come home."

"Do you think it's possible?" the middle-aged man asked.

Liu Anran's heart suddenly tightened. Could it be that this man intended to keep her here indefinitely?

No, for the sake of her four children, she had to find a way to leave.

The middle-aged man laughed arrogantly. Liu Anran saw his sharp fangs and was so frightened that she kept backing away until she was forced to stop against the stone wall. She looked at the middle-aged man with a fearful expression.

Zombies?

This man is actually a zombie?

The middle-aged man laughed loudly as he approached Liu Anran. Liu Anran activated her supernatural power, and a golden blade shot towards the middle-aged man.

The middle-aged man was surprised that Liu Anran dared to attack him, and quickly dodged the flying blade.

Liu Anran unleashed more than a dozen sharp blades, which quickly shot towards the middle-aged man. Before the blades could even get close to him, they seemed to be separated by an invisible barrier, and the blades fell to the ground one after another.

Liu Anran's expression changed drastically, and one sharp blade after another shot towards the middle-aged man's eyes.

She couldn't take the middle-aged man's life; by blinding him, she could also use the opportunity to escape.

The middle-aged man's expression changed. He waved his hand, and the sharp blade fell to the ground. His body moved as fast as lightning towards Liu Anran. He grabbed Liu Anran's body and slammed her against the stone wall.

Liu Anran crashed into the stone wall, feeling as if her internal organs had been shattered. Her blood rushed to her head, and she spat out a mouthful of blood before fainting from the pain.

The middle-aged man smelled Liu Anran's blood, which made him want to suck her blood dry.

He grabbed Liu Anran, looked at the bloodstains at the corner of her mouth, stuck out his tongue and licked it. His eyes lit up. What a sweet taste! He couldn't help but lick the blood off her mouth.

He grabbed Liu Anran by the collar and led her out of the secret room to a laboratory.

The middle-aged man bound Liu Anran to the experimental table and said with a sinister look, "I was only keeping you around because you were sensible. But since you're so ungrateful, you'll become my test subject."

The middle-aged man's eyes lit up when he thought of the unknown power within Liu Anran's body. In the apocalypse, many women had lost their ability to conceive, but Liu Anran was an exception.

"If he could make use of Liu Anran's ability, he would gain countless subordinates," the middle-aged man thought.

They took a syringe and injected it into Liu Anran, then used a large pipette to draw blood.

The middle-aged man brought the blood to a huge laboratory, which contained all sorts of zombies, even ghouls.

Liu Anran woke up groggily and found herself in severe pain and feeling weak all over.

Just as she was about to sit up, she found herself strapped to an experimental table. Liu Anran's face turned pale. Damn it!

Could that middle-aged man be a psychopathic research maniac? Liu Anran thought of those powerful, intelligent, and emotionally intelligent PhD villains often found in post-apocalyptic novels.

Liu Anran suddenly remembered the children in the space. She wondered how they were doing. But if she went into the space now, the middle-aged man would definitely wait for her to come out, unless she stayed in the space for the rest of her life.

She dared not enter the space, nor could she enter it.
