Chapter 122 The Dispute between Mao and Wei

Chapter 122 The Dispute between Mao and Wei

However, he still hadn't figured out how Ding and Xia got in touch with Wei Xiong. And where were the others? What had happened?

"Wow, this is so lively." A sweet voice broke the tense atmosphere. He Minyan, holding Mao Xukun's arm, appeared behind the crowd, like a star surrounding the moon.

Tan Hechang's expression changed instantly, and he looked like a lackey. "Hey, Master Mao, how come you have time to come here? If you have anything to ask, I will do it for you. How can I ask you to lower yourself to such an extent?"

Tan Heshun frowned deeply, said nothing, and stood behind the crowd without saying a word.

Mao Xukun's eyes were filled with disdain. "I heard it was quite lively here, so I came over to see what's going on."

"To answer Master Mao, these two people are the ones who hurt Miss Mao. I am trying to persuade them to atone for their sins with reason and emotion, but they are relying on their backers and are arrogant, speaking ill of the deputy district chief."

Ding and Xia laughed angrily. Was this trying to sow discord and slander them right in front of them?

Mao Xukun narrowed his eyes. He had no interest in what Mao Wanru was like, but the matter of having a backer was unpleasant. In N City, there was only one person who could be relied upon to oppose his Mao family.

The man surnamed Wei is really their family's mortal enemy, he is always there wherever they go.

"Really? We're in the right no matter how we hurt my sister. How can we say that we can cover up everything just because we have someone to rely on?"

He Minyan gently advised, "How can that be? Our N City has achieved what it has today thanks to honesty and rationality, clear rewards and punishments, and we must convince people when doing things. Otherwise, no one will obey our management. Uncle Mao has done a great job, and everyone can see it. He will definitely not let anyone bully the Mao family and Wanru like this. Don't worry, don't be angry."

Ding and Xia raised their eyebrows and looked at He Minyan. This woman was exactly like what Miss Lan said, a white lotus and green tea bitch who would never fade until her death.

Mao Xukun pinched He Minyan's waist and said, "You're right. My Mao family agrees with this kind of bullying, but everyone else disagrees."

He Minyan blushed and glared at him coquettishly, her little face flushed and full of charm, which made Mao Xukun's mouth dry. She was like a little devil.

Ding and Xia's mouths twitched wildly. Two dogs, a man and a woman, were doing this in broad daylight, in public.

Love, shameless.

Ding Yibing had no words to say to Xia Xun, so he pursed his lips and scowled beside him. Xia Xun sneered, "You guys are so good at accusing people with your sweet words. If you want to convict someone, show us the evidence first, or else, forget it. No one is blind, and we know who's doing what. You can't sow discord with just a few words."

Tan Hechang jumped up and pointed at Xia Xun's nose, yelling, "Of course there's evidence. I saw you torturing Miss Mao with my own eyes. It's true. It's also true that Miss Mao was coerced by you and didn't dare to go with us. Many people saw her. She was fine all the way there, but suddenly fell unconscious when we arrived in City N. Who else could have done it if not you? There was no news of any large-scale zombie attack when you came here. It's impossible for her to have suffered a head injury in the chaos. Don't try to make excuses."

Xia Xun shrugged. He didn't want to argue; it was the truth. "It's still speculation, after all. I want evidence. If you don't have it, get out."

"Don't be shameless. Young Master Mao is here. What? You want Young Master Mao to get out? Don't forget that you are standing in N City, which is Young Master Mao's territory. Who the hell are you? You want Young Master Mao to get out?"

Ding and Xia frowned, thinking that they were trying to shift the blame elsewhere.

Mao Xukun is a second-generation rich kid with no brains. He only knows how to rely on his father's power to dominate the world. How could he tolerate others asking him to get out of his territory? Therefore, Tan Hechang's words easily aroused Mao Xukun's anger.

"Hmph, you don't know what you're talking about. Come on, beat them up. Beat them up and take them back for questioning. Find out how they hurt my sister."

"Stop." Wei Yin and his group strolled over. Compared to Mao Xukun's cynicism, Wei Yin seemed quite promising. He was Wei Xiong's son, a true outlier, more profit-oriented and resourceful than his father. He made a large portion of his father's decisions, earning Wei Xiong's affection.

When He Minyan saw Wei Yin, her pretty face turned red unconsciously. Her original target was Wei Yin, but this despicable man was unyielding, so she had no choice but to turn to the arms of Mao Xukun, a second-generation rich man. In the power struggle in N City, the Mao family must win.

Wei Yin is Mao Xukun's nemesis. From childhood to adulthood, everyone has compared them to each other. Whether at home, school or society, he is always the one at the bottom, and Wei Yin has always been stepping on him to be superior.

Mao Xukun wanted to drink his blood and eat his flesh. "Mr. Wei, mind your own business."

Wei Yin chuckled, "Mao Xukun, you're using my friend as an excuse to put the blame on our Wei family, and you're asking me to stay out of our business. Do you think that's appropriate?"

"You dare to do it but not take responsibility for it. My sister was killed by them. It is a fact that your Wei family sheltered the murderer. Do you still need me to take the blame? The Wei family is already notorious. Do I have to take the blame?" Compared to Wei Yin's calm demeanor, Mao Xukun looked furious and the veins on his neck were popping out.

He Minyan frowned. How could he be so useless? He was already downgraded after just two sentences. Without showing any disgust, she soothed him softly, "Don't get angry. The more angry you get, the more proud he will be. We are right in this matter. No matter what they say, it's useless."

Mao Xukun was indeed much calmer, looking at Wei Yin with sarcasm.

Wei Yin sneered, a self-righteous woman still trying to stir up trouble. "I don't know who killed your sister, but my friend saved her, there's no doubt about that. They just admitted it, right?" He looked at Tan Hechang with a smile on his face.

Tan Hechang felt inexplicably cold and nodded subconsciously, "Yes, they saved me."

"That's it, isn't it? My friend saved your sister, you should be grateful, but you brought people to your house, shouting and yelling for war. What do you think this will make other people think? Do they still dare to help your Mao family? Aren't they afraid that they won't get anything good out of helping, and will be bitten back? Just like this person said, if you use Mao Wanru to exchange for benefits, wouldn't you get more if she's alive and kicking? Oh, right, they said that it was because my friend and his friends abused Mao Wanru on the road and were afraid of retaliation, so they left her half-dead. My friend also threatened Mao Wanru not to change teams. Since they all knew Mao Wanru was so pitiful, why didn't they help save her? Was it because they didn't have the ability or the intention? Why didn't my friend just silence them all? Wouldn't it be easier?"

Every time Wei Yin asked a question, Mao Xukun's face darkened and Tan Hechang's neck shrank.

Tan Heshun frowned, regretting that he had allowed Tan Hechang to make trouble.

Wei Yin, however, was not aggressive and stopped at the point. "Of course, I'm a very reasonable person. If you have evidence, take the person away and I won't say a word. If you don't have evidence, please leave and don't come back. Otherwise, my Wei family will not agree."

Mao Xukun was furious and kicked Tan Hechang. He snorted coldly and strode away. He Minyan glanced at Wei Yin and ran after him. The Tan brothers and the others hurried to catch up.
