Chapter 4 Resentment (I)

"Xianxian, go move the goods over there. You can leave after you're done."

The saleswoman standing not far away was giving instructions to Xu Xianxian.

"OK."

Xu Xianxian nodded and walked to the shelf on the other side.

“…feeling a bit high…”

She looked up at the cargo rack and realized that moving the cargo was a bit difficult for her petite figure. However, beneath Xu Xianxian's delicate appearance, there lived a man inside. He didn't frown at this, but instead brought a small stool from nearby and stepped on it to take down the box of goods.

"Let me get it for you."

Just when Xu Xianxian was struggling to carry the goods, a gentle male voice came from behind, and the other party easily reached out and took the box of goods down.

"Manager, you're back."

Xu Xianxian turned her head and looked at the young man in his thirties, bowing somewhat stiffly.

She was very clear about her current identity. She was no longer a department manager in the company, but just a student working in a supermarket during the summer vacation. Naturally, she had to have basic respect for the supermarket manager.

Neither the people nor the events had changed, they were exactly as she remembered them. It was just the details of the process that she hadn't noticed before, but now she was experiencing it again, and it gave her a completely different feeling.

"Well, let's go find Mr. Chen and settle the bill first."

The manager's surname is Zhang Mingwen, and he is the son of the supermarket owner. He seems to have been married but divorced, and is now raising two children alone. Xu Xianxian had seen him several times in her previous life, but after a lifetime, her memory has become a little fuzzy.

After all, the people and things in this supermarket were just a summer vacation for her. It was obviously unrealistic to want to have too many impressions of them.

“Oh no…Oh no!”

Just as the two were about to continue their conversation, panicked shouts were heard outside the supermarket.

A young man with ordinary appearance and dark skin rushed back from outside. His name was Li Lai. Like Xu Xianxian, he was also a student working in a supermarket during the summer vacation. However, he was not a cashier, but was responsible for guarding the warehouse.

"What happened? Did something happen in the warehouse?"

Manager Zhang Wen's face changed when he saw Li Lai rushing in, sweating profusely.

Warehouse logistics is the top priority of the entire supermarket. Moreover, Zhang Wen just received a batch of goods yesterday. If there is a problem with the warehouse, all the money earned this month will be wasted.

"Oh no...Oh no...Manager, something big has happened..."

Li Lai was originally a young and strong man, but now his eyes were wide open, his forehead was covered with fine beads of sweat, and his whole body was shaking, as if he had seen something extremely terrifying.
