Indian Ocean Bases: The Flagstaff's only base in the Indian Ocean is located on Diego Garcia in the Chagos Archipelago. Situated in the central Indian Ocean, this base supports the Middle East and the Persian Gulf, and monitors and controls the Indian Ocean. The base covers 2,700 hectares and houses 1,500 personnel. It includes a port, naval air station, communications station, and other logistical facilities.
Guam Base Complex: Located at the southernmost tip of the Mariana Islands, part of the Flagry, approximately 3,000 kilometers from the Taiwan Strait, the South China Sea, and the Korean Peninsula, Guam has historically been a strategically vital location.
