Chapter 44 Taking a Scam at the Supermarket

With four days to go before the floods and tsunami, Li Yao decided to make another round of purchases at supermarkets in coastal cities.

There are 150 island and coastal nations in the world whose territories are bordered by the sea, accounting for more than three-quarters of all countries. Among these countries bordering the sea, there are 36 in Asia, the most in Africa with 40, 28 in Europe, 10 in South America, 23 in North America, and 12 in Oceania. All of these are either coastal or island nations, such as South Korea, Japan, Singapore, and the United States.

Thinking that she could take advantage of the flooding before these supermarkets were submerged, Li Yao told the system, "[6834, mark the large supermarkets in medium and large cities in the coastal areas of these 150 countries. At least some of them should be the size of Pang Donglai, or large shopping malls like Wanda Plaza.]"

[Okay, host. A total of 3354 locations have been marked for you. Please check them on the system panel.] System reply;

Li Yao opened the [System Panel] and saw Sam's Club, Walmart, Metro, Carrefour, Lotus Supermarket, Trust-Mart, Auchan, Tesco, RT-Mart, Vanguard, 7-Eleven, Jusco, etc.

Li Yao felt a little numb seeing this many people—over 3,000! But just thinking about it was exhilarating. She could browse supermarkets and shopping malls in her spatial dimension from now on. Li Yao told the system, "[6834, arrange them by country and collect them one by one]."

Once Li Yao got the table, she imported the address into the teleportation portal from the system panel. This was a small upgrade at system level 4, allowing her to directly import addresses for multiple locations. After putting on her invisibility cloak, Li Yao sat on the sofa, adjusted the backrest, and began to collect items. The teleportation portal opened, and she used spatial transformation to collect the entire supermarket by touching the walls. Then she closed the teleportation portal and went to the next store.

When she was hungry, Li Yao ate hamburgers, and when she was thirsty, she took drinks from her space. Even so, it still took Li Yao three days to complete all the supermarkets and shopping centers according to plan. Fortunately, the progress was fast and there were time differences between countries, so no one could figure out her collection route. Li Yao was very quick in each country, so some people had not yet sold out of the supermarkets. Li Yao collected the warehouses of each supermarket. These supermarkets were connected to large warehouses, so Li Yao's hard work was worthwhile.
