After saying goodbye to May's family, Li Yao teleported back to the Chinese herbal medicine plantation. Looking at the planting results that Nuwa had led the robots to achieve yesterday, the entire valley was covered with vegetation and flowers, which looked quite beautiful. She instructed Hao Dazhuang to use a drone to spray the area with spiritual spring water before heading to the forest area.
Finding a relatively flat and open grassy area, Li Yao took out a 2x2 square waterproof mat, a small low table (a rather low coffee table), and then took out today's lunch: braised beef brisket with tomatoes and potatoes, braised shrimp, stir-fried green beans, Sichuan-style spicy chicken, a serving of rice, and a cup of Pink Zebra lemonade. Lunchtime began.
The tomato and potato stew with beef brisket has a rich broth. The potatoes melt in your mouth, and the beef brisket has the numbing sensation of Sichuan peppercorns, the slight sourness of tomatoes, and a touch of sweetness that balances the richness of the meat. The beef brisket is tender and soft, and it's so delicious that it's simply irresistible when eaten with rice.
The braised prawns are deveined prawns, so there's no need to peel them. Just swirl the whole prawn on your tongue and the shell comes off easily. The prawn meat is fresh, fragrant, tender, and smooth, with no fishy smell at all. Each prawn is plump and full of flavor, and Li Yao thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
Stir-fried green beans and Sichuan-style spicy chicken are both authentic Sichuan dishes, with a satisfyingly numbing and spicy kick. Li Yao ate the dishes and rice with gusto, and after finishing, she downed a glass of Pink Zebra Lemonade, her mouth filled with the sweet lemon flavor and refreshing fruit aroma—simply perfect.
Li Yao sighed contentedly as she wiped her mouth with a wet tissue. Looking up, she saw several little creatures peeking out from behind a large tree not far away. Upon closer inspection, she noticed that each creature had a "king" character on its head. Then she saw a white one and two yellow ones wagging their tails and staring at Li Yao's plate. These were the little tigers she had "picked up" in Shennongjia.
It was probably the upgraded space that enhanced the animals' sense of belonging. They treated Li Yao as one of their own and weren't wary of her. However, because Li Yao looked taller than them, the little guys were a bit scared and didn't dare to get close. They planned to come and scavenge the leftovers after Li Yao had finished eating and left.
With a wave of her hand, she put the low table, cups, plates, and bowls into her space. She then took out three small stainless steel bowls, filled them with warm water to make baby formula, added five drops of spiritual spring water to each bowl, and placed the bowls on a water-resistant mat at a distance from herself, gesturing for the three little ones to come and drink their milk.
The three little guys were only a few months old, the size of a normal puppy, and at their cutest. They smelled the spiritual spring water and tentatively approached Li Yao, taking three steps forward and one step back. Li Yao found it amusing; the little guys were quite wary.
Li Yao stepped back off the waterproof mat, and as soon as the three little ones saw her retreat, they ran towards the milk basin.
Seeing them drinking with their heads down, Li Yao silently moved forward a few steps. The three little ones heard the noise, glanced at Li Yao, but didn't move and continued drinking their milk. Seeing this, she decisively squatted down and stretched out her "wicked hand" to touch the tiger.
Li Yao encountered these little guys while collecting trees in Shennongjia. They were guarding the carcass of a large tiger, and Li Yao took them into her spatial storage. One of them had white fur, which she guessed might be due to the albino phenomenon common in Shennongjia. These little guys felt amazing to the touch, with a fluffy texture somewhere between a cat and a dog. In another month or two, she could give them a bath or something; they were still too young for now.
After they finished drinking their milk, they looked up at Li Yao curiously. Li Yao used a wet wipe to clean the milk stains from their mouths, then took out a dog toy ball, a chew stick, and a few larger dog beds for them. The little guys were very excited about the toy ball and played happily, fighting over it. Li Yao took the opportunity to pet them a lot, patting their heads and backs. Who would have thought that she, Li Yao, would have a little tiger one day?
After playing for a while, Li Yao took out some dog food and fresh meat, broke them into small pieces, and fed them little by little. The dog food was also unsalted, made from dehydrated fresh meat and vegetables, so Li Yao fed them a few pieces, which they ate with relish. (The above is my own idea; readers, please do not go to the zoo to feed the animals dog food.)
After saying goodbye to the little tiger, Li Yao teleported back to the villa, washed her hands, changed her clothes, and started playing with the dogs at home again. She fed them some spiritual spring water, played ball with them for a while, left them some chew toys, and then went back to the villa to relax on the sofa. Playing with them was also an energy-consuming task.
