Chapter 245 Li Yao Enters the Palace

On the way to Kyoto, Li Yao was kept in a luxurious carriage. The carriage was exquisitely decorated, with soft cushions all around to prevent bumps and bruises. There were seats, soft couches, and a tea table with hidden storage compartments underneath for various snacks and candied fruits.

The two maids and the nanny took care of Li Yao's food and drink throughout the journey. Whenever she put something in her mouth, one of the two maids would first scoop out a little with a spoon to test it, and then give it to Li Yao after a cup of tea.

Every day after setting up camp, the nanny would brew Chinese medicine for Li Yao and watch her drink it.

Li Yao's character evolves from being reserved and cautious to obedient, occasionally laughing happily, and now she is occasionally mischievous, even acting coquettishly with her nanny and Prince An. The main character is someone who gradually becomes more cheerful as she gets to know others, is kind-hearted, and relies on her family.

She observed that Prince An wrote several letters on the way, all addressed to the Emperor, detailing Li Yao's changes over the past few days and her wounds. Li Yao felt that her persona was fairly well-developed.

Prince An had asked Li Yao about her master, but Li Yao always acted as if her master was just someone she'd seen in a dream, and couldn't really explain it. So Prince An didn't ask again.

Li Yao had hypnotized the Zhao family and watched them being interrogated. The family didn't know why they had injuries; they just felt that they were farming every day. So Li Yao roughly imitated this "I don't know either, I'm also very confused" expression.

They encountered dangers along the way, but the guards dealt with them quickly, so Li Yao pretended not to know anything.

The caravan traveled on and off for more than a month, until autumn, before finally entering Luoyang.

Far from the city gate, a guard came to report that the Crown Prince was at the city gate to receive someone.

Li Yao was in the same carriage as Prince An at the time and overheard everything.

Prince An looked at Li Yao and saw that she looked completely bewildered. He then said to the guard who had brought the message, "Understood, proceed at full speed."

Next, Li Yao bounced and bounced all the way, her butt almost splitting into eight pieces, and finally arrived at the city gate before sunset.

Just as she was about to reach out to Prince An to help her down, she saw a person wearing a white jade crown and a light yellow robe enter the carriage.

The man entered the carriage, greeted Prince An first, then reached out and hugged Li Yao, saying, "I'm your brother, little sister, your brother has come to pick you up."

After hugging her, he stroked Li Yao's hair and carefully examined her.

Li Yao suppressed the conditioned reflex of wanting to push the Crown Prince away, and appeared restrained and uneasy, looking at Prince An with slight fear.

Seeing Li Yao's expression, Prince An knew she was a little shy, so he said, "Alright, Your Highness, the princess is still young and has had a long journey. Let's go to the palace first and let your parents see her."

Upon hearing this, the Crown Prince said, "Uncle is right. Now is not the time to acknowledge relatives. Let's return to the palace first."

The group then headed to the palace.

After Li Yao arrived at the palace, she was sent to Changning Palace, where the Empress and the Emperor were already waiting.

Li Yao, held in Prince An's arms, showed a slight surprise and anticipation, along with some trepidation, upon seeing the Emperor and Empress.

After getting to know each other...

The Empress stroked Li Yao's head and asked, "My son seems to recognize us, doesn't he?"

Li Yao nodded weakly and said, "My master told me to look, at the temple, where I was born, and then bad people robbed me."

After listening, the Empress said, "My son, are you saying that your master let you see me giving birth in the temple, and then the child was stolen?"

Li Yao nodded upon hearing this.

The Emperor then pulled Li Yao up and asked, "Has my son greeted his father?"

Li Yao looked at the Emperor and said, "I've seen him. He's sitting very high up, and there are many people there."

Now the emperor understood; he must have seen him in the Golden Palace.

The Emperor and Empress both thought that this "master" was truly amazing.
