Hearing Li Yao's laughter at the entrance of the hall, the old Taoist priest gestured to his junior brother to bring her in.
Li Yao helped the boy up, then said with a smile, "You have to be careful not to fall."
The boy waved his hands repeatedly and said thank you. Just then, a man of about 60 years old with graying hair came out of the hall and said, "Young friend, you've arrived. My senior brother asked me to welcome you."
Li Yao clasped her hands in greeting and followed the man into the hall.
Behind the Laozi Temple, there are a dedicated dining hall, rest rooms, practice rooms, kitchen, and vegetable garden.
Li Yao arrived at the dining hall, where many disciples were already present.
Seeing so many people suddenly, Li Yao felt her social anxiety kick in. She quickly took out some mutated mangoes, bananas, and milk fruit and gave them to the old Taoist priest's junior brother, saying, "Give these disciples some fruit after their meal."
After exchanging pleasantries with Li Yao, the old Taoist priest's junior brother called over two people to help him move the fruit into the kitchen.
Li Yao was eventually led to the old Taoist priest's table, which showed that the old Taoist priest was giving Li Yao a lot of face.
Li Yao also greeted everyone respectfully, thus making an appearance in front of others and preventing the disciples from perceiving her as a bad person in the future.
Li Yao also memorized the faces of these disciples so that she could distinguish whether they were from Lao Jun Mountain in the future, and if not, she could deal with them violently.
The meal wasn't particularly lavish. The only dish was a mutated rabbit meat, which was paid for by Li Yao. The rest were just some vegetarian dishes: yam rice made with mutated wild yams, various cold wild vegetable salads, and sweet soup made with mutated wild fruits.
Li Yao ate a bowl of rice with great courtesy, washed her own dishes, and then said goodbye to the old Taoist priest. Before leaving, she gave the old Taoist priest a jar of pre-rain Longjing tea.
The old Taoist priest's eyes widened slightly when he saw the tea. It was clear that this gift had touched his heart.
Using her surfboard, Li Yao teleported back to her courtyard in the scenic area. She turned on the lights, closed the gate, set up the table in the dining room, and began choosing dinner. She hadn't dared to eat too much, afraid that her appetite would scare others.
So I'm planning to treat myself to a housewarming party.
Li Yao's dinner consisted of braised beef brisket with potatoes, grilled black pork chops, boiled mussels, a state banquet dish of braised four treasures in golden broth, braised sea cucumber with scallions, braised mushrooms with two kinds of vegetables, steamed grouper using traditional methods, and a state banquet dish of cuttlefish egg soup.
Li Yao enjoyed a state banquet meal in an antique-style house, filled with Chinese elements, creating a unique and indescribable atmosphere.
Moreover, the state banquet dishes lived up to their reputation. The ingredients looked simple, but all the soups were made from different kinds of rich broths of meat and seafood. Combined with the natural aroma and sweetness of the vegetables and meats, the taste was pure and fresh.
Li Yao really thought the dishes were amazing, and kept her head down eating, until she and 6834 were completely stuffed.
Fortunately, she has a body that doesn't gain weight because she drinks spiritual spring water every day, so she can eat whatever she wants. After her meal, Li Yao leisurely brewed tea and thought to herself, this life is just too wonderful.
At night, Li Yao lounged in a deck chair in the yard, enjoying the cool air and watching the stars.
In early August, the mountains were cool and breezy at night, with insects chirping and cicadas singing. It was especially refreshing in the courtyard. Li Yao took out the mutated lotus flowers she had picked before, nourished them with spiritual spring water, and placed them beside her. Her spiritual energy also felt warm and comfortable.
This is simply a heavenly life. No need to worry about food and drink, no need to work and rush around every day, sleep until you naturally wake up, eat until you're full and don't have to worry about gaining weight.
I'd rather lie down than stand up, and I don't have to clean or tidy up the house myself. I have all kinds of supplies, and I can count so many gems and gold that my hands cramp up. It's so great!
After enjoying herself for a while, Li Yao went back to her room to sleep. She put 6834's deluxe cat bed on the first floor, gave it its own room, and let Da Zhuang out to keep watch. Li Yao then slept peacefully.
