Li Yao did not deliberately distance herself from others, nor did she deliberately try to make friends with anyone. So, some people in the literature department at school had heard of Li Yao but had never seen her, while others had seen her but had not interacted with her much.
Li Yao's classmates thought she was the undisputed class beauty and wanted to befriend her, but Li Yao would disappear as soon as get out of class ended. Over time, everyone realized that Li Yao had a cold personality, so they stopped trying to get close to her.
That day, Li Yao was carrying her new Gucci bag that she had just bought in Hong Kong Island over the weekend. After class, she was about to leave when three girls blocked her at the classroom door.
A pretty girl in a new chiffon dress walked up to Li Yao and said, "You must be Li Yao from Class 1 of Literature, right?"
Li Yao looked at the girl and said, "I am Li Yao. May I ask what brings you here?"
People around watched the spectacle, seeing it was a 1v3 situation, and all of them were pretty girls.
Li Yao was speechless. A series of melodramatic scenarios flashed through her mind, and she was wondering if she was really going to encounter one, when she heard the girl in the lead opposite her say, "Gao Mo is my boyfriend. You'd better stay away from her."
Li Yao was speechless for a moment, then crossed her arms and asked, "Who is Gao Mo?"
The girl in the chiffon dress said, "Stop pretending! Someone saw you seducing my boyfriend, and you still won't admit it."
Li Yao: "I don't know anyone named Gao Mo. You can bring him here for a confrontation, or bring the person who told you about this for a confrontation."
The girl in the chiffon dress said angrily, "Anyway, I've said my piece. This is a warning. If you don't listen to my advice, don't blame me for being impolite."
Li Yao saw the girl in the chiffon dress try to leave after speaking, even though there were so many people around.
Then, incorporating a bit of spiritual power, he said, "Stop! I'll say it again, I don't know Gao Mo. Bring over the person who told you I seduced him. You dare to slander me? Are you prepared to be sued?"
The girl in the chiffon dress, under Li Yao's mental command, pointed to the girl to her right wearing a polyester dress and leather shoes, and said, "Lily clearly said she saw it with her own eyes."
Li Yao continued, channeling her spiritual power, and asked Lily, "What did you see?"
Lily's eyes glazed over for a moment before she said, "I didn't see it. I've already slept with Gao Mo, and he's still refusing to give me a formal status because of his fiancée. I want them to break up, and when he heard you're an orphan with no one to rely on, he wanted to use you as a pawn to sow discord."
Li Yao was utterly speechless; she had actually become a part of someone else's melodramatic love story.
Li Yao looked at the girl in the chiffon dress, who was already quite angry. Li Yao glanced at the crowd gathered around the classroom door and felt that this matter could not be let off easily.
She said to Lily, "You think you can ruin my reputation with just words? Do you think this is still the decade where you could kill someone with words? Get ready for my lawyer's letter; I'm suing you for defamation."
As expected, after Li Yao said that, many people around her were no longer just watching the spectacle. Some of them had experienced the pain of being hurt by words, so someone immediately shouted, "Li, don't worry, we are all witnesses. This is slander and defamation. We will testify for you."
Then people around her chimed in, saying they would testify for Li Yao. After Li Yao thanked everyone, the school security guards and teachers arrived, and everyone dispersed.
Li Yao and the other three followed the teacher to the office to explain the situation, and then left.
The next day, Li Yao hired a friend who was a law professor at a high salary to help her complete the litigation process.
Li Yao refused mediation, and since the chiffon girl's family also contributed, this Lili was first given a major demerit and made to write an apology letter to Li Yao in public. Then, she was expelled because someone reported her for taking someone else's college entrance examination spot.
