Chapter 89: Problems at the Academy
There are some special places in the extraordinary world.
The Dark Forest, where St. Marian's College is located, is one of them.
After stepping into the forest, one can clearly notice that the sun, which was originally emitting bright light above one's head, immediately dimmed.
The surrounding environment also became quiet and gloomy.
Combined with the scene of the forest full of fallen leaves even though it is summer, it looks very strange and ominous, as if you have come to an evil place full of ghosts.
Going deeper into the forest along the path, you can even see dark shadows passing by from time to time in the deep woods on both sides.
Bird carcasses and ants appear frequently.
However, despite the strange environment, Andy was not attacked until he arrived at the academy.
It's called a college, but it looks more like a manor in the woods.
The gate with hollow patterns is covered with rust.
On the brown-black stone brick wall next to it hangs the logo of St. Marian's College.
Surrounded by them is a five-story square building that looks like an ancient castle, with sharp corners and a Gothic style.
"Are you Andy?"
A young blond woman who looked like a secretary was standing in front of the door.
Seeing the black-haired boy in a suit and tie approaching with a suitcase, she couldn't help but take a few steps forward.
Andy nodded at her.
Just as I was about to speak, I suddenly saw a person hurriedly appearing from the ancient castle behind the door.
This person was a middle-aged woman in a women's suit. After looking at him for a few times, she walked over with excitement and excitement on her face, as if she was going out to greet him.
But she was clearly not there to greet Andy.
As he passed by, he just nodded at him and walked hurriedly in the direction behind him.
And in that direction, the figures of the family of four who had stopped Andy at the airport before were faintly visible.
"Don't be offended."
The blonde woman who looked like a secretary felt a little embarrassed when she saw this.
While welcoming Andy into the academy, she explained in a low voice: "When the Duke of Clare of the Empire visited, the dean was not so excited. She would only become like this when she met some capable explorers..."
St. Marian's College is a very old place. Although the people there face difficulties, these difficulties are only relative.
In fact, the personnel of this college are basically the remnants of the old era of the Evangelical Church.
The so-called remnants are actually groups that resisted the reforms of the Evangelical Church hundreds of years ago, led by the twelve holy families.
These twelve families generally have a glorious history and are of noble origin, so they are given sacred names.
Now, we can’t really say it’s in decline.
Because their predicament is actually just a game between them and the mainstream church.
The remnants of the party must either withdraw from the church or resolve the college problem; there is no third way.
So most people left the church, including the Duke of Anjou's family.
For those who are unwilling to withdraw, their primary consideration can only be solving the problem.
Professions such as explorers and detectives are particularly good at solving problems in certain areas.
Of course Andy knew this.
But what surprised him was that the guys who kept pestering him and following him all the way seemed to be quite extraordinary. "You don't have to worry about contacting your father."
As he followed the secretary toward the five-story castle, the black snake on his wrist delivered a message.
"Anju is helping you to solve the mastermind who wanted to kill you. If those people behind you are suspected, they will not appear in your sight."
Her meaning was obvious, there was something fishy going on.
But Andy was not interested in this. He didn't say anything after hearing this, but just gently poked the other's snake head.
So the black snake who regarded herself as a senior sister immediately became angry.
In fact, her dissatisfaction has been brewing for a long time.
Andy had often ignored her when they were talking before, as if he had no idea who she was.
Now this behavior is even more excessive... Is he treating her as a pet?
If she didn't want to find clues about the teacher from Andy, she would not have tolerated this.
Even if he would not retaliate because they were from the same school, it was impossible for him to stay and observe or even protect him.
But now...
After a cold snort, Black Snake simply shut his mouth and said nothing, secretly waiting to see Andy make a fool of himself and hit a wall.
This is where the benefits of dragon taming come into play.
However, Andy's attention was not on his wrist, but on observing the surrounding environment.
There is no mistake in the poem, post, content, and read the book on 6, 9, and bar!
After stepping into the five-story castle, what comes into view is a spacious hall.
At the core of the hall stands a huge glazed hourglass. The upper part of the hourglass is filled with sand, but there is only a shallow layer underneath.
And on the base of this hourglass, there is a line of words engraved.
[This is your graduation trip.] "I think you already know the current situation of the college."
Seeing Andy glance at the hourglass, the blonde secretary who led the way said softly:
"The outer dark forest is full of evil spirits, and the number is increasing every day. When our academy was founded, it was our mission to purify this forest. No one can graduate before this place is completely purified."
"But so far, we still don't know where those evil spirits come from. The Dark Forest is very special, and we can't use any extraordinary means in it, so..."
Her face looked helpless, but she didn't show any other emotions, as if she was used to it.
If it is impossible to purify it with extraordinary means, then we can only use secular knowledge, such as preaching, to resolve the resentment in the evil spirits' hearts.
But this approach obviously doesn't work either.
Looking at the sand piled up on top of the hourglass, you can see that -
The part representing the number of evil spirits is no longer able to hold that much space, and the sand that has leaked down to the bottom is only a shallow layer.
So the sentence, this is your graduation journey, seems to be a long way off.
But Andy didn't think he would stay here for long.
After retracting his gaze, he followed the secretary to the dean's office.
Then, with the help of the secretary, I filled in the information very efficiently, was admitted to the school, and officially became a member of St. Marian's College.
This made Black Snake, who was planning to laugh at him, a little confused.
"Does he really have a solution?"
By observing closely, she could clearly feel that Andy did not show any strange emotions when he heard the graduation requirements before, as if he had known it all.
But if this is true, it doesn't fit with her previous judgment...
I don't think Andy is pretending, nor do I think that he still doesn't realize how difficult this task is.
So Black Snake began to ponder this.
But she didn't realize that after Andy officially filled out the admission form, a miraculous change had already taken place in his body.
Enrolling in St. Marian, the "road to fooling God" is on the right track! From deep within his body, a gentle warm current emerged, spreading through Andy's limbs and bones, strengthening his life essence and making his differentiation ability even stronger.
This situation should have been discovered by Black Snake at a close distance, but the nature of lies among the two powers was enough to cover up Andy's abnormality!
So no one noticed that when Andy left the principal's office and followed the secretary to the student dormitory, a hair quietly broke off from his forehead.
As it slowly fell toward the ground, the hair suddenly turned into a gray woodpecker in midair, flapped its wings, and flew toward the forest outside the window! The problem solving began.
