Chapter 125: The World of Night (Part 2)

Chapter 125: The World of Night (Part 2)

Nan Jiao and the Xie brothers were on a quest to find the experts and leaders who had disappeared from Base Zero. Once outside the base, they did find them, but were unexpectedly besieged by zombies. Disguised as humans, the zombies made them easy captures, bound not with ropes but steel cables. Thus, Nan Jiao and the Xie brothers became helpless prisoners.

The experts and leaders who were previously kidnapped by Chen Ke were tricked out of the base by zombies disguised as humans.

Outside the base, the area within a hundred miles is the zombies' territory.

After listening to Nanjiao and the Xie brothers' complaints and curses, Song Yuqing was silent for a moment. The zombies didn't kill them immediately. Did they want to gain something from them?

"It's meteorite fragments." An expert replied.

"What about Lin Han? Why is he hanging out with zombies?"

Song Yuqing didn't understand. After becoming half-human, half-zombie, Chen Ke clearly hated Lin Han to death, so why was he forming an alliance now? And were her parents being controlled by Chen Ke?

Nanjiao and the others were unable to answer Song Yuqing's question. Currently, they knew too little about the zombies.

The zombies seemed to have become unpredictable overnight, no longer looking like they were greedy for humans.

However, the experts and leaders who had been held captive for several days could confirm that the relationship between Chen Ke, Lin Han, and Wan Youzhi was not harmonious. Although they had some kind of agreement, their cooperation was shaky. After all, they had been held captive for several days and had only heard of their quarrels. Moreover, it was during the quarrel between Lin Han and Chen Ke that they were swallowed into the black hole.

Song Yuqing suddenly felt like gossiping: "What are they arguing about?"

Song Yuqing looked at the expert who was speaking with anticipation, thinking that the clue to breaking the deadlock was right here.

The expert shook his head and said he hardly believed it.

Nan Jiao rushed to say, "Chen Ke wanted to keep us, thinking that sooner or later he could get information about the meteorite fragments out of us, but Lin Han felt that keeping us was useless and that the sooner we were killed, the better. However, that person called Wan Youzhi stood on Chen Ke's side, so Lin Han wanted to kill us but couldn't. That morning, when I woke up, I heard Lin Han and Chen Ke arguing over a roasted pigeon. The roasted pigeon could enhance the evolution of zombies and the energy of those with special abilities."

"Then the two of them made fun of us for a roasted pigeon. Whoever beat us first could eat the roasted pigeon meat." Xie Hao laughed speechlessly.

"While the two of them were competing, Lin Han used the black hole to swallow us up." Nan Jiao gritted his teeth. They shouldn't have to bear this sin.

Song Yuqing didn't know what to say for a moment. Were Chen Ke and Lin Han being too playful? Or was Lin Han deliberately provoking Chen Ke, looking for an opportunity to eliminate the leaders of Base Zero?

Song Yuqing snorted coldly. She wouldn't let Lin Han get his way. Suddenly, she felt the urge to gather all those who had been devoured by Lin Han and beat him up together, at least to let him experience this indescribable feeling.

"Gaha..." Gaha, who had been listening to the story quietly, suddenly pointed to the sky. On a ray of aurora, the figures of several of them were clearly projected, and the projection of this image was a circle larger than the fragmented projection fragments on the side.

"This place is so strange, where exactly is it?" Nanjiao looked in the direction Gaha pointed, feeling his hair stand on end. Crime shouldn't exist in this world, right? After all, every criminal act could be nipped in the bud.

No one has privacy. Look at what everyone in this world is doing, living day after day with their eyes open, bored and uninteresting.

Everyone present clearly saw their own reflections within the aurora's hues. For some unknown reason, their shadow slowly grew larger, until it filled one-tenth of the night sky. Simultaneously, tens of thousands of other shadows gradually shrank, becoming merely an appendage and a foil to their own shadow.

Song Yuqing felt goosebumps all over her body. She wanted to hide herself somewhere where the invisible surveillance camera could not see her.

"Come on, let's go in."

They fled in a hurry and escaped into the God's supermarket of this world.

God's Supermarket is an ordinary-looking supermarket. It even looks a bit crowded because of the shelves, which does not match the huge neon sign outside it.

Song Yuqing divided up the task of buying supplies, and each of them went to browse different shelves. She wanted to quickly complete her mission in this world and return to their terrible world overrun by zombies.

The shelves of this God's Supermarket were arranged according to size. From food and daily necessities to various models, everything was available. The shelf Song Yuqing had come to was specifically for various architectural models.

These architectural models were exquisite, like the sand tables in real estate sales offices. Each model only cost 0.6 points.

Song Yuqing had no intention of staying in the model area for long; she pushed the shopping cart in a hurry.

A girl jumped out from between the shelves and stood in front of Song Yuqing. The girl looked to be about eight or nine years old, with two braids on her head and two cute dimples on her face.

Song Yuqing was startled. This was the first local person in this world who spoke to her.

"Sister, are you new here? I've never seen you before."

Song Yuqing looked at the girl and nodded.

The girl's smile pounded her heart, and she realized how much this girl looked like her as a child.

It can be said that they are exactly the same.

Could this be her?

"What's your name?" Song Yuqing asked tentatively.

"Song, Yu, Qing~" the girl said while shaking her head.

Song Yuqing leaned down cautiously: "Hello, Song Yuqing."

"Mud Howl~"

"Why are you here?"

"Why are you here?" Song Yuqing asked, and the little girl followed up with a question.

Song Yuqing reached out and pinched the little girl's soft face.

She was so cute when she was a child.

"Where are your parents?"

"They're working."

After some questioning, Song Yuqing realized that the little girl had come to the supermarket on her own. She wasn't buying anything, she was just browsing.

Song Yuqing smiled. She liked it this way, too. When she was little, the convenience store at home was too small to shop in. Convenience stores weren't as fun as supermarkets.

"I'm new here and don't understand anything. Can you be my tour guide?"

"Sure, no problem, leave it to me!" The little girl said generously.

Song Yuqing was distracted for a moment. She was not so cute as this when she was a child. She was very timid and afraid of strangers.

The little girl took Song Yuqing's hand familiarly and led Song Yuqing to another shelf.

"Are you looking to buy a house? The houses over there are much nicer!"
