Chapter 56: The Mysterious Visitor

Chapter 56: The Mysterious Visitor

"Hiss!" A group of intermediate zombies hurried into the vegetable market and interrupted Chen Ke who was about to suck blood.

Chen Ke is the cook of the Zombie King. She has a special identity, so the group of zombies are very polite to Chen Ke.

"Hiss!" Chen Ke roared with his fangs bared, a little dissatisfied.

Under the training of the two zombie kings, the zombies had already developed rudimentary thinking abilities and a tendency to worship intelligence. They had come to the market to discuss something important with Chen Ke. After all, Chen Ke still had half a brain, and his thinking ability was slightly inferior to that of the zombie kings, but far superior to theirs.

They have no ideas, but Chen Ke might have one.

A mid-level zombie informed Chen Ke that both zombie kings were dead. After failing to capture the humans and pigeons, the two zombie kings retreated to the south of the city. Unwilling to let the pigeons and humans go, they took a shortcut to pursue the humans. However, they were attacked by a large bird with two people, a man and a woman, perched on its back.

Chen Ke frowned as she listened. The big bird carrying the person should be Ruan Fanfan's parrot. She had seen it when she was at Base No. 27.

“Hiss…”

The man's flesh smelled delicious, but with one strike, he killed more than half of the primary zombies. He swung out thorny vines, which tore through the zombie swarm. The spikes on the vines could even break away from the vines and fly in all directions, temporarily incapacitating any zombies caught in them. Of course, the zombie king wasn't affected by the spikes.

The man was on the back of a flying bird, and the Zombie King couldn't hit him or do anything to him. Seeing the heavy losses, the Bald Zombie King ordered an evacuation.

How can those running underground compare to those flying in the sky? The man swinging the vines unleashed a large barbed net, trapping the zombies and mowing down the helpless zombies with a laser gun. Under these circumstances, the two zombie kings died with remarkable ease. Furthermore, the man seemed to be charging directly at the zombie kings, his laser gun piercing their bodies, leaving dozens of holes.

Once the zombie king died, the man stopped fighting and let the remaining zombies go, looking down on them.

Chen Ke couldn't help but grin as she listened. She didn't care how the zombie kings died; she was actually happy that the two zombie kings were finally dead. Now, no one could torture her. Looking at the stunned intermediate zombies before her, Chen Ke had a bold idea: she wanted to lead the zombie world to its peak.

"Hiss!" After analyzing the situation, Chen Ke tried to order this group of intermediate zombies to catch pigeons and gather their strength for the next few days.

The zombies were indeed obedient and immediately retreated according to Chen Ke's instructions. "Regain your energy. Okay, if we encounter something like this in the future, we know what to do."

A zombie with a brain: But she's still half food? Why should we listen to her?

Other zombies: Do you have the brains to be the leader?

As soon as the intermediate zombie left, Chen Ke turned to look at Lin Han again, laughing.

Lin Han's skin crawled with goosebumps. He mentally called out to all the gods. It was no use. Chen Ke opened her mouth wide and lunged at him.

Lin Han tried to activate his supernatural power, but the black hole produced was only the size of a sesame seed. Lin Han closed his eyes, his heart dead.

Chen Ke forcefully pried open Lin Han's eyes: "You have to watch your blood being sucked dry with your own eyes, and then I will chop off your hands and feet and turn you into a dried human pig corpse."

Before he could finish his words, a thorny vine hit Chen Ke. The thorns penetrated deeply into his bones, and Chen Ke was unable to move for a moment.

Lin Han looked behind Chen Ke and saw hope of survival.

It's so cool to swing the vines and kill everyone!

Seeing that Chen Ke couldn't move, the man approached and untied Lin Han's chains. At this moment, Chen Ke suddenly jumped onto the roof of the vegetable market. The man threw out vines, but Chen Ke dodged them and quickly escaped through the skylight.

"This thing is quite powerful. It can move in less than 30 seconds?" The man stared at the direction where Chen Ke escaped, thoughtfully.

"Thank you for saving me."

"No need to thank me, I'm just doing something for someone. Go back to the base soon, Wan Youzhi is waiting for you." The man was still staring at the direction Chen Ke fled, without looking at Lin Han.

"You won't come back to Base 27 with me?"

"Why would I go to that boring place?"

Lin Han: ...

A few hours later, in God’s Supermarket.

Ruan Fanfan held the new quilt and insisted on not living in the same room with Song Yuqing.

"Is my room not good enough? Why do I have to sleep next door? What's next door?"

"She is going to do something bad secretly!" Liu Xiaona said sarcastically while chewing a cucumber.

"I don't!"

Ruan Fanfan refused to admit it. She was afraid that if she slept in the same room with Song Yuqing, Song Yuqing would feed her red fruits in the middle of the night, forcing her to tell all her secrets.

If Song Yuqing knew what Ruan Fanfan was thinking, he would definitely be heartbroken.

Ruan Fanfan turned to go out and bumped into a man head-on. The moment he saw the man, Ruan Fanfan froze.

"You, who are you?" Ruan Fanfan glanced behind him and deliberately shouted loudly to the man.

Song Yuqing looked at the man. He was dressed in black, black pants, and looked to be about twenty-four or twenty-five. His face was three-dimensional and bony, and he looked rather handsome. Behind him was a vine, tied to five zombie bodies with their skulls ripped open.

The man glanced at Ruan Fanfan and said politely, "Sorry to bother you."

The man walked past Ruan Fanfan and into the supermarket.

"I heard there's a cafe here?"

The man's eyes scanned the people in God's Supermarket.

"Excuse me, who is the boss here? I want some coffee."

"I am. Do you want coffee now?" Song Yuqing took a step forward. Even though it was day and night, it was time for bed, right? Coffee before bed? So cool?

"yes."

"Do you have to drink now? Can't you see we are getting ready to go to bed?" Ruan Fanfan said dissatisfiedly, pushing the quilt.

"Oh, I see. Sorry, my schedule is a little different."

"It's okay, leave the zombies here, I'll take you to the second floor."

Song Yuqing led the man up to the second floor, followed by Gaha. She remembered that past the coffee shop was her work area. Liu Xiaona picked up the zombie and threw it toward the security gate.

"Ding~ A total of five primary zombies."

Liu Xiaona raised her eyebrows. She thought the zombies this man sent would be unusual and looked very powerful.

Hearing the sound of the security door, the man turned around and happened to see Ruan Fanfan glaring at him.

The man smiled imperceptibly.

"What's your name?"

"Zhang Lei, the Lei with three stones."

"My name is Song Yuqing, and this is Gaha."

Zhang Lei nodded politely to Gaha.

"How did you know there's a coffee shop here?"

"I heard about it. I ran into someone who bought something here before."

"Gaha..." Gaha wondered if it might be Nanjiao and the others.

"Is this a zombie?" Zhang Lei was polite on the surface, but there was a flash of vigilance in his eyes.

"Don't worry, she doesn't eat people. If she's really scared, can I ask her to stay away?"

Gaha looked at Song Yuqing pitifully. Fortunately, Zhang Lei didn't say anything else. They went to the coffee shop on the second floor and sat down at the bar.

Ta-da-da, Ruan Fanfan also ran up to the second floor with small steps: "I want another drink too!"

Song Yuqing tilted his head: "Aren't you going to sleep?"

"I'm worried about you being in the same room with a man."

Song Yuqing: ...

"Sorry, my friend is a little crazy."

"It's okay, it's more lively with more people. Please give me a cup of wood-flavored cappuccino." Zhang Lei was polite and courteous like a gentleman. He looked friendly, but gave people an invisible pressure.

Zhang Lei took the coffee that Song Yuqing poured for him and carefully looked at the color of the coffee under the light.

"Did you know there's a zombie in town that still retains half of its human features?"
