Chapter 123: Different from the plan
Base Zero.
When Xie Qiang and his wife went out early in the morning, they found that everything was different.
In this huge Base Zero, there are no living people left, only zombies disguised as humans.
Overnight, the zombies became hunters without prey.
"Could it be that Wan Youzhi and the others took action without telling us?" As Zhang Lin spoke, the black color in her eyes slowly faded away, revealing the original golden color.
"It shouldn't be them." Xie Qiang glanced around at every human disguised as a zombie. The zombies looked suspicious, a rare sight.
Why is this wrong?
Xie Qiang racked his brains to figure out what had happened. He thought of the three people and the giant panda who came to Base Zero yesterday.
Those people appeared and took away his prey.
Why? They took away the original residents of Base Zero and left them behind?
Xie Qiang realized that their identities might have been exposed.
"Let's go find Chen Ke and the others."
Xie Qiang didn't understand how they exposed their identities.
He thought again of the small camera in the short-haired girl's hand. Thinking back carefully, there was something wrong with the girl's expression when she took the photo. It didn't seem like a normal human expression.
Come to think of it, that girl seemed quite familiar, as if I had seen her somewhere before.
A murderous intent emanated from Xie Qiang, which subsided for a moment before rapidly expanding again.
"Let them come find us." Zhang Lin stopped Xie Qiang. At this moment, staying at Base Zero was undoubtedly the better choice. Who knew if those frightened humans would ever return to their newly built homes?

Xie Qiang felt that what Zhang Lin said made sense, so he sent a zombie to burrow into the ground to find Chen Ke, Lin Han and Wan Youzhi.
"It's different from the plan."

The zombies that went to call for help emerged from the ground in a short while. Immediately afterwards, Wan Youzhi, Lin Han, Chen Ke, and tens of thousands of zombies that had not yet taken human form surged in from the gate of Base Zero.
"What's going on?" The first thing Lin Han said when he saw Xie Qiang was to question him.
In his opinion, the plan they had previously drawn up was perfect and everyone could get what they needed. Why did they suddenly say "different"?
Compared with Lin Han, Chen Ke and Wan Youzhi seemed calm, and didn't seem to believe that things could get that bad.
Xie Qiang snorted coldly: "Just look, there is no one else in Base Zero."
This city could be taken by Lin Han and Wan Youzhi as they wished. But what could they, the zombies, get now? No blood packs, no meteorite fragments.
When Chen Ke finally figured out what had happened, she stared at Lin Han and Wan Youzhi.
She couldn't help but wonder if these two people were doing something behind her back.
She felt angry for a moment. She had taken great pains to catch the pigeons from Base Zero to help Wan Youzhi improve his abilities. She had expected Wan Youzhi to see more of the future, but in the end, they actually planned this behind her back?
It turns out that humans are the most insidious.
Wan Youzhi panicked, but he tried to feign composure. He and Lin Han had already made a desperate move. They and the zombies were in a state of shared prosperity and loss.
Chen Ke's eyes flashed with ferocity. He grabbed Wan Youzhi's collar with one hand and Lin Han's collar with the other.
Lin Han wanted to resist, but was stopped by Wan Youzhi.
Now is not the time. Wan Youzhi used his eyes to signal Lin Han to be patient.
"Hiss! You, lied to me?" The dangerous aura emanating from Chen Ke, mixed with the unique stench of zombies, almost suffocated Wan Youzhi and Lin Han.
"How could we possibly lie to you?" Wan Youzhi whispered.
He also had many dissatisfactions in his heart.
These days, Chen Ke completely treated him as her military advisor, but often gave her a cold look.
What he seeks is to become the king of humans, not a lackey of zombies.
If his ability was not non-aggressive, and if Lin Han's ability was not no match for Chen Ke's, he would never be so servile.
Damn it! How on earth did Chen Ke become so powerful?
Zhang Lin saw the tense atmosphere among them and said, "Either we find out where the people from Base Zero are hiding, or we disperse now."
Zhang Lin and Xie Qiang have the confidence to survive with their zombie descendants. The reason they agreed to Chen Ke's invitation is because Chen Ke saved them from the corrosion of acid rain.
As zombies, they shouldn't necessarily be grateful, but they're the exception. The closer they become to human form, the more they understand human civilization and emotions. Of course, that's all they understand. Sometimes they can pretend to be more human, but that's simply out of curiosity.
"We can't disperse!" Wan Youzhi's face flushed red. Chen Ke's grip was making it increasingly difficult for him to breathe.
"What happened last night? Didn't you feel anything strange?"
Lin Han cursed, "If you kill Wan Youzhi and me, you won't have a good ending. The acid rain will continue to fall, and only we can predict when it will fall."
Chen Ke sneered and let go of his hand, but the next words he said were filled with even stronger murderous intent.
"Do you think that zombies only evolve their skin and not their brains?"
Lin Han was stunned and felt the back of his head being split by a cold wind.
Wan Youzhi, on the other hand, remained calm. He had long foreseen that zombies would become more intelligent as they evolved.
"Even if you can judge the weather, do you know that the God's Supermarket will become your nemesis?"
Everything is taking a gamble.
He had no way of predicting what would happen to God's Supermarket. The existence of God's Supermarket was like a fog in his mind, a bomb that could explode at any time.
If he had met Song Yuqing first, he would choose to join God's Supermarket, or at the very least, become friends with God's Supermarket, and would never become its enemy.
Unfortunately, there is no if.
Now, God's Supermarket seems to treat him as an enemy, so he will make the zombies treat God's Supermarket as an enemy as well.
After all, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
He wanted to use the zombies to gather all the superpowers together and make them serve him. He was so ambitious that he wanted to fight for the dignity he didn't get before the apocalypse.
He had foreseen that when the zombies gathered all the meteorite fragments, they would not be able to cause any trouble at all and it would just be a minor fight.
He never said this to Chen Ke. Instead, he told Chen Ke that if the zombies had all the meteorite fragments, they would be able to control the planet. He only wanted a little territory and a few slaves.
