Chapter 7: Don’t miss it if you pass by!

"Why didn't you tell me?" Song Yuqing clenched his fist tightly, digging his thumb into his flesh.

Master Fu didn't expect Song Yuqing to point the finger at him, but when he thought about it carefully, he realized that he had not said it explicitly.

"I reminded you." Master Fu felt guilty and didn't dare to tell anyone what was in his mind.

"Is there no way to save that world?" Song Yuqing's eyes turned red, and he slowly squatted down while holding the shelf.

"Yes, I can repair that world." Master Fu coughed unnaturally, "Next time I don't let you do something, just listen to me."

Looking at Song Yuqing squatting under the shelf, looking like he was about to break, Master Fu felt a little reluctant. After all, he was the one who chose the store manager.

Song Yuqing took a deep breath and tried to control her emotions. She had a hunch that Master Fu was deliberately not telling her the rules of traveling through parallel worlds.

She originally thought that Master Fu was trustworthy, but after this incident, she became a little uncertain.

"You can trust me. I won't harm my own store manager."

There was a whirring sound of electricity, and a translucent screen appeared before Song Yuqing. On the screen, the collapsed silver building and the path covered with sycamore leaves were being rebuilt, brick by brick, back to their original appearance.

"Yes, real-time image."

Song Yuqing stared at the screen carefully for a long time, and after confirming with Master Fu again and again, he finally let go of the heavy stone in his heart.

She smiled unconsciously, and a tear fell from the corner of her eye.

"Thanks."

"No need to thank me. Where there is sea, there are waves. Where there are people, there is love." Master Fu felt that what he said made a lot of sense.

For several days in a row, Song and Qing kept the door of God's Supermarket open, ready to welcome customers at any time.

She has unprecedented determination to run the God's Supermarket well. Whatever she can do in the parallel world, she can do too.

She didn't realize that in her subconscious, she was comparing herself with Song Yuqing in the parallel world. Yes, she envied him.

Song Yuqing rearranged the shelves, swept away the dust with a feather duster, and took out some self-defense weapons and prepared foods from the space and placed them on the shelves.

She sat at the door of God's Supermarket, waiting for customers to come.

Ever since the mutant ivy was burned, there have been more zombies in this alley. A few of them would walk by from time to time, staring at Song Yuqing with their eyes and drooling all over.

But they couldn't get close to the convenience store and could only smell the human scent on Song Yuqing and feel anxious.

Even the best wine needs no bush, and Song Yuqing might not be able to wait for customers to come to him.

Song Yuqing asked Master Fu if she would still be protected if she went outside the alley to solicit customers, and Master Fu answered in the negative.

If she continues like this, her performance will be terrible by the end of the month.

Song Yuqing decided to give it a try. She changed into the sportswear she'd gotten from the parallel world, clutched a kitchen knife in her left hand and a stun gun in her right, and, carrying a backpack filled with water and food, she walked out of the God's Supermarket, accompanied by Master Fu's nagging instructions.

"Hiss!" The zombies were very excited and rushed forward one after another.

Song Yuqing turned around and hid back in the convenience store.

Master Fu: ...You can do it.

Song Yuqing was not confident that she could defeat the zombies who were not afraid of pain and did not know death. She and the zombies stared at each other, and no one crossed the 38th parallel of the God's Supermarket.

A few minutes passed, and the zombies wandered away in boredom. Song Yuqing seized the opportunity and once again stepped out of the door of the God's Supermarket.

"Hiss~Hiss!" A zombie attacked Song Yuqing, but as soon as its hand touched Song Yuqing's clothes, it bounced back.

Song Yuqing was about to escape back to the God's Supermarket when she saw the zombie's hand quickly peel off the flesh after touching her clothes, leaving only the skeleton. She boldly took another step towards the zombie.

The zombie raised his hands and stepped back.

The more it retreated, the more joyfully Song Yuqing took a step forward.

The zombie turned around and walked away, its receding figure looking very lonely among the swarm of zombies rushing towards it.

Song Yuqing bravely and proudly walked among the zombies. The zombies whose hands were melted by their clothes made way for her.

As they were about to leave the alley, Song Yuqing's foot became entangled in something. Looking down, she was captivated by the sight. Wrapped around her foot was a small wildflower, its purple and white petals swaying, its long stem connecting to somewhere outside the alley.

The little wild flower stretched its petals wide, but it could only cover the toe of Song Yuqing's shoe. Song Yuqing was about to laugh at the little wild flower, but it actually secreted venom that corroded the toe of Song Yuqing's shoe. If Song Yuqing hadn't reacted quickly and stepped on the little flower and retracted her foot, her socks and toes would have turned into a puddle of water.

Song Yuqing chopped the little flower with the kitchen knife in his hand, and only stopped when the little flower was cut into pieces.

Song Yuqing breathed a sigh of relief and continued walking out of the alley. During the few days he'd been in God's Supermarket, the alley had taken on a completely different look.

Concrete jungle.

Towering trees and giant carnivorous plants occupied the main roads of the city. Zombies staggered around parked cars and caused damage, and those in the cars who did not have time to escape were killed.

Not far away, the sound of fighting could be heard. Song Yuqing looked in the direction of the sound, but could see no one. All was obscured by the human-shaped leaves. She vaguely saw a beam of fire and a large metal knife smashing down on a large banyan tree. A burly man hung from the tree's long beard.

With a loud "bang", the ground under Song Yuqing's feet also shook.

The sturdy man hanging on the tree controlled the huge flow of water, uprooting the tree, and was thrown by the tree to the side of the road not far from Song Yuqing.

The burly man fell flat on his face. Scrambling to his feet, he met Song Yuqing's worried gaze. Sheepishly, he lowered his hand from rubbing his buttocks and charged back fiercely, joining his companions in the fight. One of the girls, with dyed red hair, erected a wall of earth to block the banyan tree's attack. A wind-powered user commanded a massive gust of wind, stripping the tree of its leaves. Some fluttered a hundred meters before landing gently at Song Yuqing's feet.

Under the powerful attack, the mutant banyan tree was about to collapse and began to shrink. While they were fighting, an aunt with permed curly hair was fighting against the zombies that were rushing towards her.

Song Yuqing sighed softly, not expecting that the abilities of other psychics were so powerful.

From the day of the zombie outbreak until now, she had seen space powers, fire powers, earth powers, wind powers, and metal powers. The only thing she hadn't seen was wood powers, and she wondered when she would be able to see them again. To give Song Yuqing more experience, Master Fu had given her a class, explaining the various powers in detail. It didn't sound like much, but seeing them in action was truly fascinating, like watching a movie with top-notch special effects.

The battle before them reached its climax, and Song Yuqing watched intently. A gold-type psychic remotely controlled a large golden knife, chopping the banyan tree into sections, ending the battle.

Song Yuqing waved hurriedly, took out food from his bag, held it high and shook it.

What should I say? Song Yuqing's mind suddenly jumped: "Don't miss it if you pass by!"

The five-member team looked over and gathered together, talking in low voices.

"That person is so weird!"

"Want to go over and take a look?"

"Well, everyone, pay attention."

The five people carefully avoided the carnivorous plants and trees and walked towards Song Yuqing.

The leader was a sturdy girl who'd obviously been working out regularly before the apocalypse. Her companions all called her "Sister Qin." She was a gold-type psychic, and it was she who had chopped the banyan tree into pieces. Following behind her were four other psychics: Old Zhang, a fire-type auntie; a young man with a wind-type psychic; and Ai, a red-haired earth-type girl who erected a wall of earth to block the oncoming zombies. The third person was the burly man who had just taken a nasty tumble.

"Tell me, what's your name?"

"Lin Xiaona." The strong man scratched his head embarrassedly.

"Why are you here alone?" Sister Qin frowned.

Song Yuqing hurriedly took out all the food and water from his bag, laid them out on the ground, and placed a piece of written paper on top of it:

"Zombies for supplies—God's supermarket."

Sister Qin looked at Song Yuqing warily. She didn't quite believe what was written on Song Yuqing's sign.

Song Yuqing didn't mind. She saw that Sister Qin seemed younger than herself, but she was full of courage, which she admired very much.

"Zombies exchange for supplies. In the God's Supermarket, there's water, instant noodles, pre-made food, and self-defense equipment..." Song Yuqing said as he pointed into the alley. "It's over there. There's a sign that's very obvious."

"You open a supermarket here?" Sister Qin looked at Song Yuqing and felt a sense of mutual admiration in her heart. He was also a capable person.

"Ah? There are so many zombies and mutated plants here. Why did you open a supermarket here? What were you thinking? Why don't you go to the base?" Liu Xiaona was surprised.

Liu Xiaona asked so many questions that Song Yuqing only remembered the last two words.

"Base?" Song Yuqing didn't know that a survivor base had been built near Chen Town.

"Yes, we are going to the base." Sister Qin nodded.

"How about joining us? It's safer." The red-haired girl invited sincerely.

Song Yuqing smiled and shook his head.

Sister Qin's face suddenly darkened, and she activated her special ability to throw the big golden knife in her hand away.
