Before she could react, Ji Yuzhi's gaze slowly descended, landing on her small mouth, which was still contorted with surprise.
He lowered his head and kissed the corner of her lips.
Zhen Tian's face turned even redder.
She felt her entire face steaming, and there were probably wisps of smoke swirling around her head.
In a mere second, Ji Yuzhi kissed her and then pushed her away, but that action seemed to replay countless times in Zhen Tian's mind.
Ji Yuzhi chuckled at her silly expression, his palm landing on the top of her head, gently rubbing it. He straightened up, pulled Zhen Tian into his arms, and said in a low, husky voice, "I'll wait for you to grow up."
Zhen Tian was held in his arms, in the embrace she knew best, but now she felt other emotions within it.
Her heart was pounding wildly; she could even clearly hear her own heartbeat, rapid and strong.
Every time, it reminded her, "Zhen Tian, you really like him."
She finally admitted that Zhizhi was no ordinary person to her. He was the most beloved person she never wanted to lose in her entire life.
Her two slender arms, which had been hanging by her sides, wrapped around Ji Yuzhi's waist. She lay on his chest, her hands clenched tightly.
"Zhizhi, I miss you so much," she said sullenly.
Those who miss him, and the familiar scent he carries.
Ji Yuzhi pressed his palm against her head, resting it against his chest, wanting her to hear his heartbeat even without trying.
He wasn't as confident as he appeared on the surface.
He's testing the waters too.
