Chapter 175 Did You Use Connections?

After another afternoon of running around, everyone finally managed to buy everything they needed.

"Hey, don't forget there's still something in the locker," Jin Yaya called to the group who were rushing out.

"Ah, I almost forgot." Zhen Tian slapped her forehead.

With so much stuff, how am I going to get back?

"Wow, so many snacks." Ye Qingyan took the two bags of snacks, and saw Zhen Tian take out two more bags from them.

"Yeah, I couldn't control myself for a moment. Hehe." Zhen Tian chuckled foolishly.

“Perfect timing, otherwise I was thinking of buying some when I went back to school. I’ll just take these for you.” Ye Qingyan picked and chose without any politeness.

"Okay, take whatever you like."

Zhen Tian stood there, waiting for Ye Qingyan to finish choosing and packing.

While waiting, Zhen Tian was thinking, "Should I ask the delivery guy to come pick us up? We have too much stuff."

"Your brother? Is he the handsome guy from that dinner party the other day?" Yang Tao's eyes lit up.

"yes."

"I always felt he looked familiar, like I'd seen him somewhere before."

Zhen Tian smiled but remained silent, not revealing Lu Lin's identity as an e-sports player.

"Why call him? I'm giving you a ride. I bought a car but haven't had a chance to tell you yet." Ye Qingyan picked out a bunch of things and then carried them up.

"Let's go to the underground parking lot."

"You bought a car? And you've finished your driving test too?" A large group followed behind Ye Qingyan.

"Yeah, I just took the test abroad when I had nothing to do. It's an internationally recognized driver's license. It took me a while, and it was a bit of a hassle."

Ye Qingyan pressed the car key from a distance, and the headlights of a military green Jeep flashed not far away.

Zhen Tian stared in silence at the car, which was taller than her.

"Put your things in! What are you standing there for?" Ye Qingyan directed everyone. "Just throw everything in. This car doesn't have any other advantages, except that it's big."

"Qingyan, why did you buy such a big car?" Zhen Tian asked.

"Big? Don't you think it's cool?" Ye Qingyan closed the trunk lid and stood in front of the car: "Jeep Wrangler Jungle Limited Edition, don't you think I'll look amazing when I wear a little black dress, red lipstick, and high heels? Sexy and gorgeous."

Ye Qingyan did an S-shaped dance move, tossed her long hair, and lightly bit her lip towards Zhen Tian.

Zhen Tian stared blankly, nodding repeatedly: "It seems so."

"That settles it then. Get in the car."

Ye Qingyan tilted her head coolly: "Come on, let's go for a drive."

The new model also has an openable roof, and everyone's hair was in a mess on the way back to school.

"Why is it so windy?" Ye Qingyan paused and smoothed her hair.

"By the way, which dorm do you live in?"

"Lily Garden, it's the one you turn left on."

"Hey, I'm from that dorm building too, Sweetie, our connection is truly unbreakable!" Ye Qingyan exclaimed excitedly.

"Drive carefully." Zhen Tian brushed a strand of hair that had blown into her eyes from the wind, feeling a little helpless. She was really brave to get into the car driven by this newly licensed driver.

"Don't worry, I've been driving abroad for a long time."

Ye Qingyan swerved the car and stopped it in front of the dormitory building.

"Wait for me to park the car."

"Which floor are you on?" Zhen Tian jumped out of the car.

"Sixth floor, I'm about to collapse," Ye Qingyan complained. "How can a seven-story building not have an elevator? Climbing stairs every day is really killing me. What floor are you on?"

"Three floors."

"That's so nice, I'm so envious."

"Hey, have you bought your bedding?" Zhen Tian looked around at the items, remembering that Ye Qingyan had said she would bring her card with her.

"Holy crap, I forgot." Ye Qingyan grabbed her hair, looking astonished. "I knew I forgot something."

Zhen Tian knew she should go up and comfort her, but what if she still wanted to laugh?

"What are you laughing at? What am I supposed to do? Go to a hotel?" Ye Qingyan felt she had had enough.

"Why stay in a hotel? Come up and squeeze in with me for the night." Zhen Tian pulled her along, looking at her roommates behind her: "Sorry, you don't mind, do you?"

"It's alright, it's alright, come on."

The group couldn't say anything, since they were still riding in someone else's car on the way back.

"I'm so sweet."

Back in the dorm, we quickly unpacked the things we'd bought, and everyone was exhausted.

Zhen Tian was the last to take a shower today, and she was also responsible for turning off the lights.

"I've turned off the lights."

"good."

I slept well all night.

There is usually about a week without classes at the start of the semester. Basically, everyone is running around in various auditoriums on campus listening to speeches from the principal, secretary, and counselors.

This week was relatively easy, but the military training that follows is the time that freshmen hate the most every year.

Moreover, it's probably because there are too many universities near this university campus, and the schools always want to compete with each other. So after seeing that the Capital Foreign Languages University adopted military-style training, the Arts University followed suit.

Upon learning that military training would involve a five-kilometer night run, crawling, and even shooting, the entire freshman class at the art university was devastated.

Yang Tao sat in her dorm room, her face full of worry: "Shooting is fine, it's actually quite fun, but what's with the night running? Does the school think our skinny arms and legs can handle that?"

Jin Yaya frantically stuffed sanitary napkins into her military training shoes: "Hurry up and get ready, I heard that this will prevent your feet from hurting too much."

Jiang Wei also looked reluctant: "Where am I supposed to die after running these five kilometers?"

The three of them frowned and sighed at the same time.

Only Zhen Tian sat there, happily slurping her pudding.

"Aren't you worried? You're in great shape." Jiang Wei asked.

Yang Tao laughed first: "She doesn't look like someone who does physical labor."

"I don't need military training," Zhen Tian said innocently.

"Huh? Why? Why should I?" Yang Tao was the first to jump up.

Jiang Wei suddenly frowned, then relaxed her gaze: "Did you pull some strings?"

"I guess so." Zhen Tian's generous manner didn't seem like she had pulled strings to get herself exempted from military training: "Actually, I'm not in good health and can't handle the intensity of military training. My third uncle talked to the counselor about it beforehand."

"Wow, I'm so envious." Yang Tao slumped in her chair, not even caring that her military training uniform was pressed down on her.

"Then you must have had a wonderful two weeks, right?" Jin Yaya said with envy.

"If only I had tried to pull some strings," Jiang Wei thought to herself, filled with regret.

But she still stubbornly insisted, "Fine, I figure I'm in college now, I should experience everything."

Yang Tao glanced at Jiang Wei, who was acting as usual. She realized she had been overthinking things; how could Jiang Wei possibly mock anyone?

"Never mind, I'll give it my all. If all else fails, I'll pretend to faint from heatstroke." Yang Tao took a sip of water. "Right, right, we also need to prepare a thermos. Fill it with ice water."

Everyone was in chaos again.

Zhen Tian's thoughts had already drifted far away; she only said that she would be back the day after tomorrow.

She was able to see him.

Zhen Tian sat in her seat, grinning foolishly.
