"Hello, I'm here today for a data analyst interview." The girl placed her resume in front of the interviewer.
The interview panel consisted of a simple group of managers and coaches.
"It's a girl." The manager hesitated for a moment.
Is there something wrong with the girl?
"It's nothing, I was just a little surprised, sorry."
"It doesn't matter."
"Your resume says you have a double degree in International Finance and Financial Engineering. Actually, your majors aren't directly related to our work. We'd prefer someone with a background in programming or statistical analysis. So, what made you decide to apply to us?"
“I minored in statistical analysis and data architecture. I’m perfectly capable of being the team’s data analyst.” The girl paused for a moment, then continued, “As for why I chose to come here, it’s because I wanted to repay a favor.”
"Would you mind revealing this?"
"inconvenient."
The manager was speechless.
The coach quickly chimed in: "Do you know anything about games? Or do you even play them?"
"I know a bit about it, but I don't play it. However, I did learn about the game Honor of Kings, which is used for team competitions, beforehand."
"This... I don't play games..."
Wouldn't it be a laughing stock if a data analyst for a gaming team didn't play games?
“I don’t play games because I’ve devoted all my time to my studies.” She pointed to her resume: “You can see that I spent three years abroad completing my high school and university studies. Now I have two degrees. There’s nothing I can’t do if I set my mind to it.”
"I know what kind of problems your team is facing right now. I have attached the problems, solutions, and adjustment plans to your resume."
Neither the coach nor the manager saw that far ahead; after a quick glance, they realized it was almost identical to the orders given by the boss.
The two were pleasantly surprised, which made them take the interview more seriously.
"Okay, we'll provide videos of the last few matches. You can analyze them here or at home. We'll review them and then decide whether you stay or leave. Is that alright?"
"Can!"
Thank you for your understanding.
After the woman left with the documents, the two of them took a closer look at them.
"Feels good. He seems like a talented person."
"Look at this," the coach nodded. "This girl is only 21. I wonder if the fans will have any objections if she joins the team!"
"Isn't it easy for us to hide someone?"
The woman stood at the team's main entrance, holding documents, gazing at the sun in a daze.
She's back.
...
Zhen Tian followed Ye Qingyan around, running up and down the house. Before, Ye Qingyan had helped her decorate her home. Now, it was her and Yang Tao's turn to help Ye Qingyan decorate.
However, she kept it simple, since the villa was a fully furnished show flat with everything, so they just added some trinkets they liked. For example, Zhen Tian gave Ye Qingyan a few dolls as a housewarming gift, and Yang Tao bought a bunch of food.
Ye Qingyan was decisive and efficient; she changed the swimming pool to a swimming pool as soon as she said she would. She contacted a renovation company directly and took full charge of the project.
While they were furnishing the villa, construction was underway overhead.
They didn't stop until it got dark.
A man was walking by when he saw the villa under renovation and stopped to look at it for two seconds.
After all, this building had been vacant for a long time without anyone buying it. The person who bought it this time was someone willing to take things in stride.
He smiled, walked to the house next to Ye Qingyan's, opened the door, and went inside.
After the workers left, Ye Qingyan and the others were also tired.
They sprawled out on the sofa, and Zhen Tian pulled out her phone: "Want to play a game?"
"No, you're so tired, and you still want to play games?" Ye Qingyan patted Zhen Tian's head: "Are you running a fever?"
"What fever?" Zhen Tian shook her head and shook off her hand.
"Why have you suddenly become so addicted to games?" Yang Tao asked, puzzled.
"It's nothing, the guy just wants to create a game and asked me to draw the concept art for him. I need to understand what a game is like."
"Creating a game, drawing concept art?"
Yang Tao found that after these few frights, she had actually become quite unfazed by what she heard. Hehe.
"So you're just dragging us into playing games."
"Yeah. But I still haven't found any inspiration after playing for so long. I was thinking that since I have a day off tomorrow, I'll go to the training base to see everyone's training. Maybe I'll get some inspiration."
"Base training, can you take me there?" Yang Tao's eyes lit up. "It would be even better if I could do an interview."
"That probably won't work... I should at least let everyone know first."
"It's alright, I understand. After all, I'm not a professional reporter, and many people are unwilling to be interviewed." Yang Tao waved her hand: "I'll go when I'm famous."
"I'm sorry."
"What's there to apologize for?"
The three of them played around for a while, but since the villa was still under renovation, they rushed back to school before the dormitory closed.
...
The next day, Zhen Tian had nothing to do, so she took her graphics tablet and hailed a taxi to Lu Lin's team.
Because she had been there a few times, no one at the base stopped her. When she encountered strangers, she would say she was Lu Lin's sister, and everyone would recognize her.
The journey was smooth and unobstructed.
On the way to the training room, you pass a large exhibition area displaying trophies and medals from previous years.
Zhen Tian stood down and watched for a while, the images flashing through her mind.
The exhibition area contains MG's largest conference room, although they rarely hold meetings there.
The meeting room door was open, and Zhen Tian could hear the conversation inside.
It must be an interview. She remembered what the guy had said last time about the team needing to make changes, and she nodded knowingly. Applying for the position should be the first step, right?
"Great job, I didn't expect you to do so well."
Zhen Tian recognized the voice as that of the coach.
It seems the applicant is quite capable. She smiled; this would probably ease the young man's pressure.
He talks about making games, but he probably wants to win the world championship with the game he's currently using.
After all, this guy has been playing this game for many years.
She stood there, lost in thought, not knowing where she was going.
"I said I would do my best if I wanted to."
A woman's voice rang out, immediately pulling Zhen Tian back to reality. She shook her head, wondering why she had been lost in thought.
I didn't expect the applicant to be a girl; she must really like games.
Zhen Tian smiled.
"That voice sounds familiar." She moved the trophy she'd just touched back to its original position and walked inside. She wondered if the guys were busy today.
She walked to the door of the training room, and just as she was about to knock, she found that her hands were empty.
"Hey! Where's my drawing tablet?" She had it in her hand the whole time.
"Congratulations on passing the interview. You can start work anytime."
"Thank you, I'll report tomorrow."
Zhen Tian looked over curiously, and what she saw shocked her – her graphics tablet fell to the ground.
"you……"
