Huo Qingming couldn't stand her nagging any longer, so he got up, pulled her into his arms, and coaxed her, "The injection will help you recover faster. The doctor said so, so you have to follow his instructions."
"After you get your shot, I'll take you to that Japanese restaurant you said was good last time?"
"Will I take you out to play when you get better?"
As he spoke, he held down one of Ye Qingyan's hands and, while she was still immersed in grief, winked at the nurse.
"No, no, I won't get a shot. I'd rather starve than get a shot." Ye Qingyan's mind was racing, searching for ways to charm the straight man into softening his heart.
The two of them were each harboring their own secrets, which caused their attention to become somewhat distracted.
The nurse quietly tied a soft band around Ye Qingyan's wrist.
Huo Qingming: "Bai Bai is still waiting for you at home. Do you want Bai Bai to worry?"
"Don't give me that crap. Bai Bai is just a cat, what would it care about?" Ye Qingyan thought of the white cat at home, which she hadn't seen in a long time. She wondered if it missed her.
"Bai Bai often meows at your match videos."
"What should I call you?" Ye Qingyan asked.
"Meow meow".
Huo Qingming realized he had been tricked when he saw Ye Qingyan's expression gradually turn evil.
He also smiled slightly.
"What are you laughing at?" Ye Qingyan was still immersed in the joy of her victory.
"Then what are you laughing at?"
"I laughed at you for meowing like a cat, didn't you notice? It was so cute." Ye Qingyan grinned mischievously.
"I'm laughing at you for not noticing even after you've already had the injection."
Ye Qingyan's smile vanished instantly, and she screamed as she looked at the needle in the back of her left hand.
