After Zhen Tian finished speaking, she stepped off the stage and returned to her original seat.
The process is still ongoing.
Wen Jiujiu leaned out and gave Zhen Tian a thumbs up: "As expected of your sister-in-law, just like the boss, your stage presence is super steady."
Zhen Tian covered her mouth and grinned at Wen Jiujiu. With so many people around, she was going to act aloof today.
"Pfft." Wen Jiujiu laughed and withdrew her body, saying to Zhao Zeyuan, "My little sister-in-law is so cute. If I were a man, I would like her too."
“Then you have no chance, with the boss here.” Zhao Zeyuan said matter-of-factly.
"Tsk, you're such a boring man."
Wen Jiujiu patted his chest in disgust, then looked back at the stage.
"He has no romance?" Zhao Zeyuan glanced down at himself. His eyeballs twitched.
After a few more speeches, it was time for every student to get excited.
The people sitting below the stage were all wearing graduation gowns, waiting for their names to be called so they could go up and take a photo with the president.
With so many students from each major, the group photo session alone could take a long time.
The student area below also started to get noisy.
"Sister-in-law, do you want to wear your graduation gown?" Zheng An and the others had already put on their clothes, all according to their sizes. The last one was also Ji Yuzhi's size, and Zhen Tian would probably drag on the ground if she wore it.
"I don't need it anymore," Zhen Tian said, fiddling with the dress.
“I think so too. What’s the point of wearing something that’s too big and doesn’t fit? Besides, it was originally for the eldest brother, and the younger sister-in-law hasn’t graduated yet,” Wen Jiujiu said.
Zhen Tian pinched the graduation cap: "Otherwise, I'll just wear this one."
Actually, she was quite interested in the outfit; if it weren't for the size not fitting, she would have really wanted to try it on.
"Then I'll put it on you." Wen Jiujiu took the hat and put it on Zhen Tian's head, using a small clip she had prepared beforehand to keep it from falling off.
The entire auditorium was filled with tiny, dark figures, except for Zhen Tian's bright pink dress, which stood out prominently.
"Japanese Studies Department, Feng Li."
"Your turn, your turn." Zheng An gave Feng Li a push.
The man straightened his clothes, went to the side of the stage to wait for the students on stage to go down before he went up.
It was a little faster than I expected, probably because the school was in a rush.
Each person came off the stage in about ten seconds.
Yang Tao, watching the commotion from the side, said, "It should be like this when we graduate, right?"
"Sure," Zhen Tian nodded.
“I’ll go with you when you graduate.” Wen Jiujiu pulled her two girlfriends along. “It seems like someone is always graduating these past three years. This year it’s Zeyuan and his group, next year it’s me, and the year after that it’s you.”
“Yeah, right. Then I’ll come with you next year.” Zhen Tian tugged at her arm, and the two girls laughed silly.
"We've arrived at the island."
Zhao Zeyuan walked over; the person above had called out Ji Yuzhi's name twice.
"Oh, oh, okay." Zhen Tian pinched the tassel on the brim of her hat and walked to the side of the stage.
The boys upstairs had already gone downstairs, and the principal turned slightly and waved kindly to Zhen Tian.
"Why aren't you wearing your graduation gown?" the principal asked.
"It's too big." Zhen Tian stuck out her tongue.
"It was something we didn't consider."
The principal handed the certificate to Zhen Tian.
"Please don't say that. Zhizhi has always been grateful for your guidance and support. This matter has actually caused you trouble."
If the editor saw Zhen Tian now, they would be furious. She's so good at making polite remarks now; what was she thinking at the ceremony? So many big shots, none of them are inferior to the principal of Beijing Foreign Studies University.
But what Zhen Tian said wasn't just polite talk; it was what she truly wanted to say.
"This kid has brought me honor."
Zhen Tian and the principal got into a long chat on stage, which resulted in Zhen Tian staying on stage longer than everyone else.
"Now that I see him so successful in his career and has such a lovely girlfriend like you, I'm really happy for him." The principal gestured for Zhen Tian to stand next to him and pose for a photo with the camera.
"I'll Photoshop Zhizhi into the group photo when I get back." Zhen Tian bowed halfway to the principal and then walked away.
The principal shook his head, his gaze lingering on her back for half a second longer.
Some kids really excel at everything they do. Even their girlfriends are so great.
This wasn't the first time the principal had heard of Zhen Tian; he had even called the art university president on her behalf before. Looking at her now, the principal realized the child was indeed a good one.
Once the last person's photo was taken, the graduation ceremony was considered over.
Zhen Tian held the three heavy certificates in her hands and touched the photo of Ji Yuzhi on them.
"This man is amazing; even his ID photo looks like a professional portrait. No wonder all those women online are ravenous after seeing his identity." Yang Tao glanced at him as well.
"Don't look." Zhen Tian teased Yang Tao, closed the certificate, and then said to the people around her, "I have a class this afternoon. When Zhizhi comes back, I'll ask him to treat everyone to dinner."
"Then I'll have to kill Dun hard."
Believe it or not, they really hadn't seen Ji Yuzhi for a long time since he left the studio for training.
Amidst laughter and conversation, Zhen Tian, along with Yang Tao, bid farewell to everyone.
...
"Let me carry one for you, it looks heavy," Yang Tao said.
As expected of a century-old university, the certificates from Capital Foreign Languages University are quite substantial. Zhen Tian estimated that these certificates must weigh at least five or six pounds.
"No need. It's just a few steps." Zhen Tian hugged him tightly, refusing to let go.
Yang Tao understood, and she snorted, "Sister, your possessiveness is unbelievable."
"Hehe." Zhen Tian was embarrassed but also self-righteous: "What's wrong with me being a little possessive of my man? He's so good, of course I have to hold on to him."
"This is incredible!" Yang Tao pulled a small mirror out of her bag. "Look at the adoration in your eyes! It's like a flood is about to burst."
"So what if I admire her? She's just great."
"Not really. It's just that men can't stand women admiring them; it greatly satisfies their vanity. That's why men like women who are clingy and dependent on them, tsk." Yang Tao analyzed logically, "But I guess male gods wouldn't. He's already so outstanding; I bet everyone in the world admires him. Ordinary admiration simply can't satisfy him."
Zhen Tian blinked and smiled without saying a word.
That's not the case.
He's just an ordinary man.
Summer has arrived, and the asphalt roads in S City are so hot they look like they're about to explode.
Zhen Tian was busy practicing driving and drawing comics. At the end of the semester, she finally finished her driving test (Part 3) and submitted her final comic artwork.
Having accomplished two major tasks at once, she just wanted to lie in bed and do nothing for two days.
"What are you doing here? Come swim at my house."
Ye Qingyan made a phone call to Zhen Tian and Yang Tao, who then left.
