Zhen Tian slept very well, as if she had a get-out-of-jail-free card.
The next morning, Ji Yuzhi couldn't sleep at all. It was barely dawn.
He didn't sleep well that night, and he had several dreams.
Each one is about her and her child.
Zhen Tian was still fast asleep beside him, her soft breathing rhythmically ringing in his ear.
He held her close until dawn.
Zhen Tian went to bed relatively early last night, so she didn't sleep in today.
After getting up, the two packed their things and went to the hospital.
As Zhen Tian said, she is 94 days pregnant. That's three months along.
Zhen Tian sat to the side listening to Ji Yuzhi's conversation with the doctor.
Is her physical condition suitable for pregnancy?
"Miss Zhen's health is quite good for a young person. She can definitely have a child."
"She's only 24 years old, is it too early for her to get pregnant? Won't it harm her health?"
"24 years old is not early at all, which is an age recommended by the state. It will not harm the body. As doctors, we actually recommend that women get married at this age, as they will recover more easily after giving birth."
"Will her pain-insensitive condition affect her ability to get pregnant?"
Ji Yu asked very detailed questions. For Zhen Tian, her condition meant that she had to consider every major decision in her life much more carefully than the average person because of this illness.
Zhen Tian listened from the side, but she couldn't get a word in edgewise.
Moreover, she couldn't understand some of the things the doctor said.
After asking about a few of the most pressing questions, Ji Yuzhi left with Zhen Tian.
He was also a little scared. For the past three months, he and Tian Tian had both assumed she was having a normal period and couldn't possibly be pregnant. So, some nights they'd gotten a bit too rough in bed. Luckily, the baby was very resilient.
He led Zhen Tian out of the hospital, while the driver waited at the entrance in his car.
"Is she really pregnant?" the older brother asked curiously.
"Yes." Ji Yuzhi nodded.
"That's wonderful, congratulations to you both."
"Thanks."
After the conversation ended, the driver started the car and drove away.
On the way, Zhen Tian held Ji Yuzhi's hand and stared at him repeatedly.
"What's wrong?"
"I feel that you don't care about me as much as Brother Huo cares about Qingyan."
Ji Yuzhi was stumped by the question. He turned to look at her and asked, "Why?"
"Because when Brother Huo found out Qingyan was pregnant, he was so excited that he hugged her tightly, and he even pulled the doctor aside and asked him a lot of questions. He was very concerned and afraid that he might have done something wrong and hurt Qingyan and the baby. You didn't do any of that."
"So you want me to hug you now?" He deliberately misinterpreted her meaning.
"Don't bring up other things. Is this what I meant?"
Zhen Tian was in a bad mood the whole way, and Ji Yuzhi didn't give her a straight answer, just smiled and let her do whatever she wanted.
As the car pulled into the house, Zhen Tian still protested that she didn't want him to hold her hand.
Ji Yuzhi firmly grasped her hand and led her to the study.
"What are you doing!" Zhen Tian said, throwing a little tantrum.
Ji Yuzhi smiled but said nothing, and took books off the bookshelf one by one.
He carried a whole stack of them in his arms and then placed them on the table.
"What is this?"
Zhen Tian looked around.

Zhen Tian was shocked.
"Do you still doubt that I love you enough?" Ji Yuzhi smiled and patted her head. "I was prepared for your pregnancy a long time ago. I bought and read almost every book on pregnancy on the market."
"When did you read these...?" She had never seen these books before. Zhen Tian was on the verge of tears again.
“Whenever you ignored me,” Ji Yuzhi stroked her. “I’m not worried about those things because I’ve made thorough preparations. My only concern is your health. You’re different from others; you’re my treasure. I don’t want you to get hurt even a little bit.”
“Zhizhi…” Zhen Tian couldn’t take it anymore. She snuggled into his arms, sobbing, “I’m so bad.”
"Silly girl." Ji Yuzhi patted her on the back.
"You'll be a mother soon, and you still cry all the time. What if your child learns from you?"
"Then hit him."
"Me, hit?"
"Yes, you're my dad. If you don't hit me, do you expect me to?" Zhen Tian said, her eyes brimming with tears.
"What if the child asks me why I only hit him and not his mother?" Ji Yuzhi teased her.
“I’m the mother, how can I be the same as him?” Zhen Tian argued illogically.
"Alright, you little crybaby." Ji Yuzhi wiped away her tears. "What do you want to eat for lunch?"
"Mala Tang!"
"Eat something healthy."
"How is mala tang unhealthy? Everything you make is healthy." Zhen Tian said with a fawning smile, her earlier tearful demeanor completely gone.
"no."
"Waaaaah, I'm only newly pregnant and you won't give me any good food. You're abusing me and the baby." She started waaaaah again.
Ji Yuzhi was driven crazy by her nagging and had no choice but to give in: "Okay, okay, but you can only eat it once a month. From now on, I will keep a close eye on your meals and you can eat whatever I make."
"Does that mean I have no choice?"
"Can't!"
"Waaah..."
"If you cry again, it will be gone."
"Gah..."
The fake crying stopped abruptly.
Half an hour later, Zhen Tian finally got to eat the spicy hot pot she had been longing for.
He also added another half spoonful of chili oil to the bowl.

"No, it was a month premature, but the doctor said premature birth is normal for twins."
"Twins, huh?" Ji Yuzhi was actually a little envious.
“Yeah, it seems like Brother Huo’s family has a history of twins. I guess it’s unlikely.” Zhen Tian touched her belly: “Neither my family nor yours has twins.”
"One is fine, no suffering." He clasped his index finger together and tapped it in front of her with his knuckles: "Eat first."
"Oh." Zhen Tian slurped up a mouthful of noodles. "I'm going to call Qingyan later. I wonder when they'll be back. Have the two babies changed?"

Ji Yuzhi was almost immune to her sudden outburst.
"Qingyan even said she wanted to arrange a marriage between our baby and her child. She has both a son and a daughter, so no matter what, she can be a perfect match for our baby."
