Chapter Ten: The Girl's Room Fully Revealed

"Of course it's the military training for the new semester. It's a week long, isn't it written on your admission notice?"

"Huh?" Zhen Tian sat blankly on the bed, pressing her forehead and the hair sticking up in front of her head in a daze.

She ruffled her messy hair.

"Get up quickly, have breakfast and Dad will take you to school." Lu Ti closed the door before leaving.

Taking a deep breath, the girl seemed to fully wake up.

She lightly pushed aside the blankets, sat on the edge of the bed, and randomly sprayed herself with a floral-scented diffuser.

"It smells so good!"

The aromatherapy spray was a gift from her dad, brought back from his trip. She shuffled to the bedside, hastily slipped on her slippers, and pattered her way to the bathroom.

After a moment, the room returned to silence, except for the sound of water.

Zhen Tian's room was very large, and the facilities inside made it clear to anyone who saw it that a girl with a very girlish heart lived in this room.

In the center of the bedroom stood a two-meter by two-meter princess bed. A large crown hung less than two meters above the headboard, with a long canopy attached to its edge that stretched down to the floor at the foot of the bed. A large white plush rug covered the floor, and the walls of the entire room were a pale pink.

To the left of the bed, near the window, was a dressing table, adorned with bottles and jars of various sizes, including her favorite perfume. Looking out the window, there was a nearly 20-square-meter balcony, furnished with a wooden swing and an oval hanging chair, all in a very girly style. In the center of the balcony sat a small table with an open comic book and a few opened snacks. The balcony railing was decorated with numerous small potted plants.

The sound of water gradually stopped, and the girl, wrapped in a large bath towel, ran out and headed straight for the barn door next to the bathroom, which was also sprayed pink. The heavy door was pushed open, revealing a walk-in closet that was almost as big as the bedroom. Apart from the door, the other three walls were all lined with wardrobes full of clothes, and in the center of the room was an oval jewelry stand.

This room was specially designed by Lu Ti for Zhen Tian.

As Zhen Tian got older and realized the importance of beauty, she kept adding things to her room.

Zhen Tian casually glanced through the rows of clothes in the wardrobe. Because of military training, she took a short-sleeved shirt and trousers from the corner of the shelf full of sportswear. She changed her clothes on the pink plush beanbag chair next to the jewelry counter, tidied her long black hair in front of the mirror, and then took out a watch that matched her clothes from the jewelry counter to check the time.

"Oh no, it's going to be too late."

Back in her room, she sat down at her vanity and began working on her bottles and jars, her face fully exposed in the mirror.

Just like watches and clothes need to match, her face and her skin should be in harmony.

To call her glamorous would be a bit tacky, yet to call her innocent would carry a hint of coquettishness; her face still held a touch of childishness. She poured some moisturizer onto her face haphazardly, grabbed her newly bought backpack for the trip abroad, and ran out.

Zhen Tian's home is not small; it's a large single-level apartment of nearly 300 square meters. Zhen Lei bought it with a loan when his supermarket was just starting to make money. Back then, houses were very cheap, and the loan was paid off in just a few years. Although the house is an old building, its value has doubled again and again because it's located in a good school district.

The Ji family home across the street has the same layout as Zhen Tian's home, but compared to Zhen Tian's home, the Ji family has very few things. Therefore, when Zhen Tian was little, she always felt that the Ji family home was much bigger than her own home.

When Ji Yuzhi first moved here, he was renting because he didn't know how long he would stay in the city. But when Ji Yuzhi decided to stop running around because of his parents, his father bought the apartment next door. The two families have been neighbors for quite some time now.

"Good morning, Mom and Dad." Zhen Tian sat down at the table. "It's seafood porridge."

"Your mother went out early this morning to buy seafood. It's very fresh. Try it quickly."

"Thank you, Mom." Zhen Tian quickly ate two bites.

"Slow down, it's hot." Lu Ti brought out the side dishes.

"It's too late," Zhen Tian said indistinctly.

Lu Ti took the apron and wiped her hands: "I told you to go to bed early, because I was afraid you wouldn't be able to get up in the morning. But you, you're still eating snacks and reading comics on the balcony in the middle of the night."

"I can't sleep." Zhen Tian ate a little less than half a bowl of food and then pulled Zhen Lei to walk outside: "Dad, let's go."

"Dad hasn't finished eating yet."

"We'll eat when we get back."

"Bring an umbrella, the weather forecast says it's going to rain today," Lu Ti shouted from behind, though it was unclear whether the two of them heard her.

…………

When Zhen Tian got off the bus at the school gate, she saw a large notice posted next to the school gate.

[…Students, please find your class by counting the last three or four digits of your student ID number on your admission notice. For example, ****05** means Class 5 of Grade 1…]

Zhen Tian took her college admission letter out of her schoolbag.

Too lazy to take off her backpack, she simply reached inside and rummaged around in it. When she pulled it out, the sharp edge of the acceptance letter cut her hand.

She didn't feel anything until she saw the white part of the acceptance letter stained with blood, then she realized she had a small cut on her hand, and she casually sucked on it.

"I'm from Class 8." She searched the playground, where each class had a teacher holding a sign in front of them, which was quite eye-catching.

"Hello, teacher." She found the classroom and greeted the teacher.

"Hello, please line up at the back of the line." The teacher smiled kindly at her.

"I'm a male teacher as the homeroom teacher." She scratched her head; this was the first time in her life that she had a male homeroom teacher.

Once everyone was present, the opening ceremony began. It ended at noon.

High school military training is just a formality. After letting the students go to eat, they are told to return to their positions from the morning and stand at attention again at a certain time in the afternoon.

This was Zhen Tian's first time participating in military training, and she found it quite novel.

Before long, raindrops began to fall from the sky.

"It's raining right after school started, so annoying," complained the girl standing in front of her, and several others echoed her sentiment, as if they had quickly formed a familiar little group.

Zhen Tian blinked.

A girl a few steps behind her snorted disdainfully, but it was too soft for Zhen Tian to hear.

The loudspeakers on campus began to announce.

"Attention first-year students, please follow your teachers and enter the teaching building in an orderly manner. Military training will be conducted indoors, so Class 1 will go first."

"Class One is leaving first? When will it be our turn?" the girl in front complained again.

It took about ten minutes. The rain was getting heavier, and the students were getting restless. Finally, it was Class 8's turn. Zhen Tian followed the group into the teaching building.
