Chapter 291 Baby's Baby

The door slowly opened in front of the two of them.

It must have been specially designed; the interior doesn't have any expensive decorations or furnishings, but it exudes sophistication and warmth.

As they expected, nothing needed to be prepared; all that was needed was for people to come.

"The house is new. You can stay here without worry. I'll help you move your luggage in, and you can take your time to look around."

Ji Yuzhi patted Zhen Tian's hand to reassure her, and then followed the driver out to help move the luggage.

Zhen Tian stood in the huge living room, completely at a loss.

She wasn't surprised by the villa's nouveau riche-sounding items; after all, she had seen Qingyan's villa with a swimming pool and her family's estate.

Instead, she hadn't imagined that these people would live in houses like everyone else; in her imagination, they would live in family dormitories or compound houses. She never expected them to live in such modern villas.

Just like moving things downstairs, it only took three trips before Ji Yuzhi had piled the things up at the door.

The driver stood at the door, showing no intention of coming in: "I won't disturb you while you're settling in. I've already been told by my superiors to give you another day to finish setting up your new home. You can go back to work the day after tomorrow."

"OK."

"Also, although the house isn't registered in your name, you have complete control over its use. You can change it or do anything else you want without having to report it."

"Also, a driver will be assigned to you. They will contact you later."

After giving his instructions, the driver left.

When Ji Yuzhi went in, Zhen Tian was still standing there without moving.

"What are you thinking about?" He walked over and hugged her from behind.

"Only one."

"Um?"

"Don't you think this house is a bit too big? I don't feel at ease living here." She turned around in his arms and put her little hands on his waist.

Ji Yuzhi looked around; it was a two-story villa, not large, but at least four or five hundred square meters.

"You can stay here without worry once it's given to you."

"That's huge! Will cleaning it be exhausting?" Zhen Tian felt troubled; she probably couldn't be that diligent.

"I'll figure something out." He chuckled at her wildly imaginative idea and took her hand, saying, "Shall we take a tour of our new house?"

"good."

The house is indeed much bigger than the one I live in now. The bedrooms are twice the size of the one I live in now.

The first floor consists of a living room, kitchen, and a large study. The shelves are all pre-made, somewhat similar to those in a library. Solid wood shelves occupy one wall. In front of the wall are a desk and chair.

Perhaps due to the nature of the work, the entire room is decorated in a Chinese style, which looks very solemn and grand.

The first floor is mostly solid wood, a style that seems to appeal to older people.

The second floor is much better, and the light is brighter than on the first floor. There are three bedrooms in total: one master bedroom and two guest bedrooms.

Each bedroom has its own bathroom and toilet. A wet and dry separation design was implemented.

At the end of the corridor window, there was an area with a small built-in refrigerator, and on top of the cabinet was a whole set of brand-new cups.

The two looked at their rooms on the second floor one last time.

In the center of the bedroom sits a large bed, two meters by two meters, adorned with traditional Chinese carvings of dragons and phoenixes symbolizing good fortune.

Bed curtains hung from the four large pillars at the head and foot of the bed.

It feels like stepping back into ancient times.

Besides the bed, the room only has a rocking chair and a small table by the window. The master bedroom's bathroom also has a dressing table.

Zhen Tian touched it; it was similar in size to the one at home, but the style was completely different.

The villa area appears to have been specially built, which is why it differs from those built by developers. The villas all face due south and north, ensuring excellent indoor ventilation and abundant sunlight.

The bed curtains rustled loudly in the open window.

"If you don't like it, we'll change it," Ji Yuzhi said after watching her touch the dressing table for a while.

"Huh?" Zhen Tian snapped out of her daze, realizing what Ji Yuzhi was talking about: "No, I like it."

"I was just thinking how beautiful these carvings are."

She touched the dragons and phoenixes on it; each one was so lifelike, as if they were about to spread their wings and take flight at any moment.

"We'll decorate it the way you like, or change it all if you don't. What matters most is that you enjoy living here."

"No need, why change it? It's fine as it is." Zhen Tian sat on the bed for a moment, and the soft mattress was one she liked. "Hmm, let's get a walk-in closet too."

It's nice here, but each bedroom only has one regular wardrobe, which isn't enough to hold all her clothes.

"good."

"Then we'll convert one of the bedrooms into a guest room. We can't possibly sleep all the children in all these bedrooms anyway." Zhen Tian thought for a moment and then asked, "I guess we can't invite friends over here, can we?"

Ji Yuzhi's brow relaxed, and he blinked.

“I knew it. That’s why there’s no use keeping the bedroom. We can only sleep in one room.” Zhen Tian said, “The other two rooms, one can be converted into a walk-in closet, and the other can be kept so I can kick you out to stay in it when you make me angry in the future.”

Ji Yuzhi was intrigued by what he heard: "Chase me away?"

“That’s right. Other husbands who make their wives angry are kicked out to live in the study. Isn’t it good that I left them a guest room?” Zhen Tian looked at her with a “look how good I am to you” expression.

Ji Yuzhi rested his head on her shoulder and neck, and sighed softly. The airflow behind Zhen Tian's ear made her shiver for a moment.

"Husband? Wife?"

"Um...what..."

"Wife..." Ji Yuzhi deliberately teased her, calling out in a hoarse voice in her ear.

"Um. Don't shout nonsense."

Zhen Tian immediately broke free from his embrace, covering her burning ears with her hands and glaring at him.

Ji Yuzhi chuckled and pulled her over: "That room will be used as a nursery for the baby later."

“There’s no baby here, I am the baby,” Zhen Tian whined.

"Then let's make a nursery for the baby's baby."

Zhen Tian pouted: "Who wants to have your baby?"

"My wife."

"You...you, you greasy man."

Ji Yuzhi: "???"

After finishing her tirade, Zhen Tian turned and ran away, stumbling and scrambling. Ji Yuzhi chuckled and followed her.

After unpacking her several large suitcases, Zhen Tian sprawled out on the sofa. The sofa was from Zhivago, touted as offering comfort comparable to first-class cabins on an airplane. What was particularly novel was that the sofa could be used as a massage chair or unfolded into a bed.

Zhen Tian lay down on it, and Ji Yuzhi pressed the button next to her to make it more spacious and comfortable for her to lie on.

"It must be difficult to even order takeout here," Zhen Tian sighed, realizing the inconvenience Zhizhi had mentioned.

Ji Yuzhi paused in his actions, and Tian Tian seemed unhappy.

Then the girl chuckled mischievously, "Looks like you can't slack off anymore. Otherwise, we'll all go hungry!"
