Chapter 24 Sincere Apprenticeship

It's exactly for this reason.

In the world of cultivation, many cultivators know that the Tiandu Sect has this special secret method of cultivating pet beasts, but no sect has gone forward to snatch it, as they are unwilling to damage their own foundation and cut off their path of cultivation.

The Tiandu Sect is notorious, and its disciples only seek speed and pursue pure overall strength.

Xue Kong disagrees with this point.

Even if one day he obtained the special secret method of the Tiandu Sect to cultivate pets, he would not practice it. What's more, he had a better secret method that could cultivate "something" that was more powerful and loyal than a pet.

But this secret method... is too cruel and vicious.

Just as Xue Kong was briefly contemplating, Jiuxing Lian'er had finished feeding the poisonous scorpion with spiritual blood. The poison in her palm dissipated and returned to normal. The poisonous scorpion lay on the back of her hand, motionless, as if it had sucked too much spiritual blood and was digesting it.

When Xue Kong raised his head and looked at her again, he found that Jiuxing Lian'er also raised her head and looked at him in the same way.

Having lost a lot of spiritual blood, her face turned a little pale, and she looked as if she was keeping strangers away.

"Boy, you made it hard for me to find you."

Xue Kong originally thought that Jiuxing Lian'er was looking at him, but unexpectedly she was looking at the Poison Lord who appeared silently behind him.

Du Gong spoke in a low voice. As soon as he finished speaking, without waiting for Xue Kong to speak, he raised his hand and gently slapped Xue Kong on the shoulder.

This palm was extremely gentle, and even to Xue Kong, it looked like an ordinary greeting between mortals.

But, after one palm.

The world in Xue Kong's eyes quickly lost its light, and in just a moment, it became dark, and his consciousness also fell asleep.

thump.

Xue Kong lost consciousness and fell to the ground.

The little green snake twisted its body, spit out its tongue, left Xue Kong's neck, returned to Jiuxing Lian'er, and wrapped around her right arm.

"Mr. Du, how should we deal with him?" asked Jiuxing Lian'er.

The Poison Lord grinned, "He ruined my plan, so of course I can't let him die so easily. Since I caught him before sunset, I'll make the best use of him. I'll take his flesh and blood body back to feed the sect's spirit beasts."

"Let's go." The Poison Lord waved his sleeves, and black mist gushed out of his sleeves. A giant purple-striped python appeared like riding on the clouds, carrying the two of them. It flapped its wings again, hissed, and rushed towards the horizon.

When passing over Yinliu City, Du Gong looked down at the entire city.

This small city, however, contained a value greater than the mountain where his Tiandu Sect was headquartered.

Shaking his head, Du Gong knew that this was not a place to stay for long. Xue Kong had wiped out the entire Xue family. No one knew what would become of Yinliu City. No one knew whether the fairies from the Three Immortals Sect would come forward to stop the unrest.

The best thing to do now is... wait and see.

Xue Kong didn't know how long he had been unconscious. He only knew that when he woke up groggily, everything around him had changed drastically. He was in mid-air, with the ground below him cold and hard, and on the scales on the back of a giant purple-striped python.

A strong wind blew towards me.

Not far away, Jiuxing Lian'er was sitting cross-legged with her eyes closed, meditating.

The poisonous scorpion on the back of her left hand remained motionless, digesting the spiritual blood, while the small green snake wrapped around her right arm just raised its head and glanced at Xue Kong, then lowered its head again, not taking Xue Kong seriously.

At the head of the giant purple-striped python, the Poison King in a black robe also had his eyes closed. Even when Xue Kong woke up and stood up, the two of them seemed not to notice and remained unmoved.

Xue Kong pondered for a moment, and seeing that the two men were unaware, he immediately walked towards Du Gong.

Xue Kong stopped about ten feet away from the Poison Master, his mind on alert. He stared intently at the Poison Master's figure, thinking to himself, "If he's truly completely absorbed in his cultivation, this will be the perfect opportunity for a surprise attack."

"Otherwise, once he opens his eyes, my life or death will depend on his decision."

After hesitating for a moment, Xue Kong sighed inwardly and finally gave up the sneak attack. He took a deep breath, raised his hands, clasped his fists and bowed to Du Gong: "I am Xue Kong, a third-generation member of the Xue family. I am honored to meet you, Senior."

"Xue Kong, this is your only chance to survive. Why don't you seize the opportunity?" Du Gong did not open his eyes, but opened his mouth to speak.

Xue Kong's heart trembled, thinking to himself that this Poison Master was indeed pretending to be a wise man, but in fact he was testing him. Fortunately, he had enough experience and was used to seeing the wickedness of human nature, so he was on guard and thus escaped the disaster.

Putting aside his thoughts, Xue Kong did not stand up. He maintained his bowing posture and said respectfully, "I, Xue Kong, am a person who clearly distinguishes between gratitude and resentment. I have no enmity with Lord Du."

"Poison Lord didn't kill me before and spared my life. How could I take advantage of his misfortune and endanger his life?"

"Clearly distinguish between gratitude and resentment?" Du Gong opened his eyes, a sneer on his face. "As a third-generation member of the Xue family, you personally wiped out the entire clan that gave birth to you and raised you. If this can be called a clear distinction between gratitude and resentment, then I have learned a lot today."

"Poison Lord, you don't know anything."

Xue Kong continued, "My father and mother fought for our family, annihilating the five great clans of Silver Willow City. They sacrificed their lives and made great contributions, leading our family to the throne of the first family."

"However, over the past decade or so, as the son of a meritorious official, I have been subjected to constant bullying by my clan members and the cold stare of the clan leader. Not only have I not been valued by the family, but I have been neglected and forced to live in a remote courtyard, suffering in solitude for over a decade."

"They were the ones who were ungrateful first. I am not wrong!" Xue Kong spoke sincerely, and every word was sonorous.

As he spoke, his eyes gradually turned red, as if he had been extremely aggrieved for a long time, and now that he was revealing it, he could no longer hold back his tears.

Du Gong still had a sneer on his face, obviously not believing what Xue Kong said.

While chasing Xue Kong, he found that the tenacity displayed by Xue Kong was very different from the young man in front of him who cried because of a little grievance. Obviously, he was lying.
