Chapter 12 Is there someone here?!
Yu Sheng said hello to Irene and left the room, but this time he didn't hang up immediately after saying it.
It’s not because the thing on the opposite side has become a vegetarian, but because this terrifying giant beast seems to have fallen into a state of confusion for some reason.
It stood in the night wind, dozens of pairs of eyes chaotically overlapping on the ball of flesh, staring at the prey in front of it with a strange "gaze". Although it sounds a bit strange to say this, Yu Sheng felt that he really saw the meaning of "confusion" in these eyes - the kind of confusion that the mouth and stomach have been trying to reconcile for half an hour and still can't reconcile.
Irene was still anxiously calling out something in her mind, but Yu Sheng's full attention was on the horrifying monster in front of him. Irene's voice seemed as far away as through a thick curtain to him - he tensed his muscles, feeling his heart pounding like a drum, and every muscle tremor and blood vessel pulsation of the monster's body were clearly reflected in his eyes.
Although he had made some preparations when he was "resurrected" from the ruined temple, Yu Sheng still felt tremendous tension when he really encountered the pressure of death again.
The only difference from last time was that the fear mixed in with the tension had greatly subsided, and was replaced by a kind of excitement that even he himself felt was unfamiliar.
Then, he suddenly felt something.
It was the muscles contracting, the dirty and thick blood gathering, hunger surging in his heart, and the command to eat came from his chaotic mind - in this extremely brief moment, the warning signs in his heart suddenly rose, and he accurately outlined the contours of the warning signs.
The monster is about to attack from the left, but it's just a feint. Its real killing move is a snake tail with barbs and sharp blades that will swing from its back.
The monster pounced forward, and a bloody mouth suddenly opened from the end of its limbs and bit towards Yu Sheng's left body - but before it jumped up, Yu Sheng had already reacted. Without any excessive thinking, he simply turned his body to the side as prompted in his mind, and then quickly pounced forward, so fast that even he couldn't believe it.
He noticed that his previously sprained waist had completely recovered at some point, as if his body had been in incredibly good condition since his "resurrection".
The beast missed its target, and the snake's tail that attacked from a tricky angle only barely brushed the back of its "prey". Yu Sheng felt the wind pressure coming from behind him. The feeling of passing by the edge of death made his hair stand on end, but compared to this terrifying feeling, he felt more unbelievable: He actually dodged it?! What happened just now?
But he didn't have time to think about it, because the next round of crisis came from behind him, and this time he didn't have enough time to dodge. He only had time to turn over awkwardly after landing, and then he saw a sharp claw falling towards him on the head.
In a hurry, he could only raise his hands instinctively and use his weak human arms to block the sharp claws that were almost as sharp as a meteorite.
With a loud bang, the air was stirred and scattered the grass and dust within a radius of several meters. Severe pain spread throughout his body. Yu Sheng felt as if more than a dozen bones in his body were broken at the same time. He groaned, and took two steps back before he could catch his breath.
But he blocked it. He really blocked that attack just now.
Yu Sheng looked at his hands in astonishment. He saw that his left hand was twisted at an abnormal angle. It was obvious that the bone had been broken. However, the pain was subsiding at an alarming speed, and the twisted bone seemed to be recovering slowly.
He still clearly remembered the first time the monster attacked him, and the true strength of the monster. Every inch of muscle in that thing could easily crush a human body, and Yu Sheng was 100% sure that when the monster attacked with all its might, there was no way he could block it - no matter how many bones he broke.
But the monster obviously didn't give him too much time to think. After landing, it only adjusted for one or two seconds. The hungry beast let out a chaotic and angry roar and once again pounced on the annoying "prey" in front of it.
The strong wind blew through his bones, and the monster that pounced on him was like a hill falling from the sky. Yu Sheng once again reacted in advance. He rolled to the side without any image, and then stood up and jumped to avoid a tail swing that could split mountains and rocks. However, the next second, Yu Sheng, who had not yet stood firmly on his feet, was swept to the ground by the retracted tail. Then, the giant beast actually split directly in the middle of its body, and a disgusting, constantly wriggling "long tongue" like a tentacle shot out in the night, entangled the unbalanced Yu Sheng, and suddenly dragged him back.
Yu Sheng propped up his hands hard to prevent himself from being strangled by the "long tongue", at least not so quickly. He watched himself being dragged in front of the monster. A big hole appeared in the middle of the monster's body, and countless sharp teeth were rubbing and moving in the hole, like a huge, hungry mouth.
At the moment when he was about to be dragged into the huge mouth, Yu Sheng kicked his feet suddenly, and the rocks under his feet cracked with a bang. The huge recoil force even made the monster stagger.
Yu Sheng did not have time to think about why he had so much strength. Taking advantage of this momentary opportunity to catch his breath, he used up almost all his strength, roared and broke the long tongue that was wrapped around him. Then he picked up a sharp piece of gravel from the ground and pounced on the cloudy eyeball on the side of the monster that was shaking wildly.
The long tongue broke, and the monster let out a chilling roar. Blood spurted out from the middle of its body. It staggered, trying to regain its balance. Dozens of eyes stared at the prey in front of them with madness and hunger.
What a nice smell! What a nice smell...
The smell of blood penetrated into the nostrils, stimulating the hungry nerves and stimulating some kind of long-dormant...instinct.
It smells really good.
Yu Sheng felt his heart beating wildly, and felt something hot and almost boiling surging in his blood. A feeling of ecstasy was gradually rising in his heart. He tried hard to figure out what this ecstasy was, and finally, he understood.
It is the joy of eating, the reward of hunger being satisfied.
That giant beast, that pile of flesh and blood, that chaotic and corrupted spirit, that...
The best meat.
The sharp gravel was gradually crushed into powder in his hands. He breathed heavily and felt that everything around him slowed down.
He pounced on the monster, and the monster pounced on him, food hugging food - in a trance he actually had a feeling as if he had not eaten for more than 20 years, or at least had not eaten "real food". He hugged the hideous limbs on the side of the monster, and the monster "huggled" him with even more astonishing strength, until it broke one bone after another in his body.
But Yu Sheng seemed to feel nothing. He had already bitten into the monster's flesh and blood. Unlike last time, it was not an angry and desperate final counterattack before death. He now had a new mentality -
He won't die, he will come back, this monster can kill him once, twice, or countless times, but he will come back.
And each time, he would understand better than the last time how to deal with this monster.
This may take a long time.
But he will enjoy this good piece of meat bit by bit.
The dozen eyes on the monster's side were shaking wildly. Some of them seemed to sense something and finally slowly focused on Yu Sheng.
A huge mouth full of sharp teeth was already biting Yu Sheng from the side, but a layer of fear seemed to gradually emerge in those eyes.
Yu Sheng felt that his body was gradually being torn apart by the monster. He knew that he had been defeated again this time. As it was natural, he would die and be eaten by the monster.
At least this time, he couldn't win.
In any case, the time he held out this time was far beyond expectations - he originally thought that he would die on the spot after a confrontation, but he didn't expect to have a good fight with this monster.

"Eileen..." Before his consciousness sank into darkness, Yu Sheng tried to call out in his heart.
Irene's voice rang out almost immediately: "Yusheng! Yusheng, are you okay?! I kept calling you just now but you ignored me..."
"It's okay. I just told you too early. Now I'm going to hang up..."
Then he ignored Irene's shouting and just waited quietly for death to come.
However, just before the heavy darkness fell, he suddenly heard a voice coming from nearby - a clear voice that really existed in this valley.
"Don't be afraid! I'm here to save you!"
Yu Sheng's consciousness was already very unclear, but at this moment he suddenly became clear for a moment, and a thunder-like shock exploded into his mind -
Someone?! Someone here?! He opened his eyes with difficulty and looked in the direction of the sound. He saw a figure rushing towards him from a distance. He vaguely saw that it seemed to be a girl in tattered clothes, but the next second, he saw another silhouette behind the girl flying in the night.
What is that? A tail? A fox?
Human? No, a subsonic headbutt.
Yu Sheng watched in despair as the figure who was shouting that he was coming to save him accelerated in the air for the second time like an extended-range cannonball, and rushed towards him with his head lowered. The monster that was biting him just happened to turn its body to the side (most likely intentional), and so he became the target of the figure that was rushing straight towards him.
"Fuck..."
He only had time to squeeze out two syllables.
The girl who rushed over didn't even see what was happening ahead.
Subsonic headbutt hit Yu Sheng in the chest, and then he had no chest.
It's gone below the neck.
It's like it evaporated.
"Girl, you...hit the wrong way..."
Then, Yu Sheng was saved.
