Chapter 94: The Fallen Army and the Expeditionary Force

The Kingdom of Arran.

Kvia angrily threw the vase to the ground.

"It's fine that there's the Servant Kingdom up front, but where did that expeditionary force come from? In just three days, they've occupied seven of my towns!"

"Your Majesty, calm down..."

The maid stood trembling in the corner, looking down at the debris and water stains on the ground, not daring to move at all.

"Your Majesty, now is not the time to be angry. The most urgent thing is to find a way to deal with it!" said the brown-haired female official beside him calmly.

She had a high ponytail, wore a white dress, and a green belt around her waist. She was tall, slender, and beautiful. She was none other than Vilit, the court wizard of the Kingdom of Yalan and Kvia's lady-in-waiting!

Upon hearing this, Kvia calmed down a little and turned to look at Vilit. As for Vilit, who grew up with her and had a closer relationship with her than some blood sisters, Kvia was still willing to listen to her opinions.

"Vilite, do you have any plans? The 50,000 Fallen Army serving the Kingdom have completely routed the 500,000-strong coalition army. And the expeditionary force behind them is even more terrifying. They are composed of tens of thousands of high-ranking knights, armed with terrifying magical instruments. Yalan has no chance of winning against any one of them alone, let alone two at once!"

Willett said softly, "Your Majesty, I've checked. The Fallen Army and the Expeditionary Force are two separate forces. They are not the same group!"

Kevia looked at Vilit strangely. Isn't this nonsense?

Willett then said, "Why should we go to war with both sides at the same time?"

Kevia's eyes lit up, but soon dimmed.

"It's useless. They've all agreed on this. Just like what the other kingdoms are facing now, goblins, giants, orcs, demons... they've all been attacked by other races. They've agreed to divide the six kingdoms up together!"

"Your Majesty, but according to my intelligence, this expeditionary force is not in league with the Fallen Army. In fact, the force that has truly agreed with the Servant Kingdom should be the barbarian tribe to our south, not this expeditionary force!"

"You mean..."

Keweiya's eyes suddenly lit up when she heard this. "This way, maybe we can make them fight to the point where both of them are injured. Then we can..."

"No!"

Vilitt shook her head, "We should do our best to help the expeditionary force!"

"What! You're asking me to help an invader?! That's impossible!"

Keweiya loudly refused. In her opinion, neither side was a good thing. How could she possibly help an enemy that was invading her territory? If she weren't being attacked from both sides, she wouldn't even think of letting both sides suffer losses.

Sending a large army directly to suppress the enemy forcefully is what she should really think as a queen!

"What about the Holy See? Why haven't they made any moves in such a long time?"

"Just a few days ago, the Vatican headquarters was attacked. Now, except for the Pope, the former saint and a few archbishops, all the others in the entire Papal City are dead!" Vilit said lightly.

Seeing Kvia's incredulous look, she added, "And even if the Church hadn't been attacked, it wouldn't necessarily have come to our aid. The war between us and the Servant Kingdom broke out over ten days ago, but the Church hasn't taken any action yet..."

She didn't continue, but Kevia understood what she meant.

"The Expeditionary Force is different from the Fallen Army. The Fallen Army advocates personal freedom and the release of one's nature. They can do whatever they want. Plus, most of the troops are barbaric aliens. If they break through Yalan's defenses, I don't need to say much about what will happen."

"What's so different about the expeditionary force? I heard they're also waving the banner of freedom and equality. Chief Justice Christ told me that this expeditionary force is no different from the Fallen Army, and is even more despicable. They've bewitched my subjects!"

She has no good feelings towards either the Fallen Army or the Expeditionary Force!

Not to mention that the Servant Kingdom declared her as "state property" as soon as it was established, which was already a great insult to her. What made her even more angry was the Fallen Army's wanton behavior in the occupied areas.

Compared to the expeditionary force's innocent behavior, she actually preferred the expeditionary force in her heart. But before, Christ had told her that every time the expeditionary force conquered a piece of land, the local civilians cheered, as if the expeditionary force was the real master of this country.

Compared to the Fallen Army, such an army made Kvia feel more angry and fearful from the bottom of her heart. Even if the Servant Kingdom finally occupied the entire territory of Yalan, as long as she was still there, there would still be subjects following her, she would still be the Queen of Yalan, and she would still have a chance to make a comeback!

But if the expeditionary force occupied Yalan, would she still be the queen without the support of her people?

"At least the expeditionary force won't massacre the city and abuse the prisoners wantonly like the Fallen Army did! Your Majesty, you have to think clearly about what will happen to us once the Fallen Army breaks through the defense line. If we side with the expeditionary force, at most we will lose the throne, but we will save our lives and will not be insulted by alien species!" Vilit said loudly.

"Your Majesty, you have not seen the fate of those captured by the Fallen Army. If you had, you would definitely agree with my proposal!"

After saying this, Vilit asked the maid to hand over a crystal ball for Kevia to look at.

Kevia didn't take it seriously at first, but as she watched, her pupils dilated and her face grew paler. She covered her chest with her hands, her body trembling uncontrollably, and she pointed at the crystal ball.

“They, they…”

She recognized the people in the picture as prisoners of the coalition forces who had gone to fight the Fallen Army but were defeated.
