Chapter 30 What Does She Want Him to See?

It was bright outside and the patrol team members had been replaced by several groups. Lin Xingyou, who was sleeping soundly, was awakened by Yan Ze.

The moment she turned over and opened her eyes, his aggressive and handsome face came straight into her sight.

"It's you~"

She was sleepy and had a slight baby voice.

Accustomed to her domineering look, Yan Ze's throat moved slightly at the sudden tenderness of the woman, and he turned his eyes slightly to look at her.

"We are ready to go."

Yan Ze's tone was a little stiff, but it was immediately covered up by a smile at the corner of his lips, as if it was the same as usual.

After Lin Xingyou got up and washed, he put away the beds on the floor. It didn't take any time at all.

Passing by Yan Ze who was waiting for her at the door, she waved, "Get in the car."

Although Yan Ze is a calculating person, his attitude is usually approachable as always.

If you ignore his well-defined facial features and his sharp, upturned eyes, he really looks like a handsome, elegant gentleman.

But his ambition is written right on his face, and his gentle disguise is nothing more than a layer of arsenic wrapped in honey.

"There are few people in this area of the old street. There are few zombies wandering around after the apocalypse. They are basically just shop owners and their employees. The residential area is still a few hundred meters away from here, so there may be more zombies there."

After Du Qiao was injured, the person riding in the car with the two of them was replaced by the clairvoyant that Yan Ze had mentioned before. They all called him Eagle Eyes.

He is a guy who doesn't talk unless necessary.

"Don't make too much noise, and try to avoid using your super powers when clearing out the zombies."

After Yan Ze gave his instructions, Hawkeye turned around and went to convey his meaning.

Watching the figure leaving the window, Lin Xingyou exclaimed: "This guy is not bad."

He is calm and doesn't offend people easily. His attitude towards her has been appropriate from the beginning.

Yan Ze did not comment, "Hawkeye was one of the first people to follow me, so there are differences."

After entering the old street, their convoy slowed down and finally found a relatively spacious open space to park.

"Is this the old street you are looking for?" Lin Xingyou looked up and asked in confusion.

Most of the streets are paved with cobblestones and are pedestrian streets. At first glance, they look like the commercial streets of ancient towns before the end of the world.

But now it has been abandoned and its wooden exterior has been corroded by acid rain.

"No, vehicles can't get in." Yan Ze spoke up to explain.

Lin Xingyou followed them, going around one alley after another, and walked for about fifteen minutes before arriving at an even older street.

This place is even narrower, and the shop is completely supported by that small door. The sign is just hanging on the eaves of the door displaying underworld supplies.

Lin Xingyou stepped forward and touched it lightly, and the wreath frame fell down, becoming extremely fragile.

"Is this the location you're looking for!?"

Although good wine needs no bush, this one is too bushy!

"That's it." Yan Ze said with certainty.

Lin Xingyou glanced sideways and saw that his ink-black eyes were filled with a trace of nostalgia.

Has he been here?

That hint of strangeness was quickly concealed by him, but she still caught it clearly.

Yan Ze lowered his eyes, a smile on his face, "Let's go."

He said this to himself, and Lin Xingyou nodded and followed.

There were not many zombies in the store, just some old and weak ones, and they were killed off in a few moves by the accompanying psychics.

They divided themselves into several small teams and began to search various stores rapidly, their actions being no different from a house search.

Yellow paper, ink stick, brush, peach wood...

The busiest person among them is Lin Xingyou, who has to run around to store supplies into the space.

"I can't take it anymore, let me rest for a while!" She panted, her slender waist half bent.

For some reason, she felt that running back and forth was much more tiring than killing zombies.

"Then you wait in the middle of the alley and leave the moving to us."

After Yan Ze finished speaking, he rolled up his sleeves and began to pick out usable things.

There were more than a dozen shops here, with enough inventory that it took them a whole afternoon, and it was almost evening before they put all the items into the store.

"Where's the boss?"

"Boss, go in and check if there's anything missing."

The team members were already exhausted and out of breath, and were buying mineral water from Lin Xingyou to quench their thirst.

Before Yan Ze came out, he heard an anxious male voice coming from the intercom: "Come quickly, there are three level 2 zombies near the vehicle."

Hawkeye raised the intercom, "Received!"

There was doubt in his eyes and his brows were furrowed.

He has been paying attention to the situation over there. How come a level 2 zombie suddenly appeared?

Lin Xingyou's expression suddenly became serious, and he quickly made arrangements: "You go first, I'll take Yan Ze over when I find him."

Everyone looked at each other and turned away.

Their vehicles were all there, and if there was any damage, they would have no choice but to walk back.

Hawkeye wanted to stay, but was persuaded by Lin Xingyou to leave. She entered the last shop that Yan Ze entered.

As soon as she entered, she saw Yan Ze sitting in the middle hall. "They're gone. What do you want from me?"

Yes, Yan Ze’s disappearance was intentional. There was something he didn’t want his teammates to know.

"Come with me."

After saying that, Yan Ze stood up and entered the room. He came to a landscape painting on the wall. He pulled it with one hand to reveal the scenery behind it.

Move away the wooden board that is similar in color to the wall, and you will find a safe inside.

Lin Xingyou walked in, ignoring the messy room, only to find that the painting was hung behind the wooden bed. When the curtain was pulled up, it was a very hidden place.

"What are you doing?"

Lin Xingyou was a little puzzled by Yan Ze's strange behavior.

Safes usually store valuable items. When the end of the world comes, those gold and jade items will no longer have any value and will be worth less than a piece of bread or a bottle of water.

He...

"Do you have any way of opening this safe?"

Facing Lin Xingyou's puzzled gaze, Yan Ze's expression became slightly serious. He completely tore off the mask of gentleness, leaving only coldness and sharpness on his face.

He was afraid that if he used his supernatural powers, he would damage the things inside.

"Of course there is."

After saying that, Lin Xingyou pulled out a card, on which stood a mechanical puppet made of parts.

"Open this lock."

She brought the card closer, and within two seconds the safe door automatically popped open.

This lock was too simple. She didn't even need to call Suo Ling out. She could just stretch out her hand and it would be solved.

When I opened the safe, I saw a few pieces of jade lying flat in front and a piece of black wood at the back, or was it... amber?

"That's all?" Lin Xingyou looked at him with a questioning look on his face.

Yan Ze didn't say much, just said: "Please put it away, Miss Lin."

"Okay." Lin Xingyou put it into the card, "Let's go back. I think they've finished fighting."

"Um."

Outside the door the sunset had already set, darkness was spreading in the east, and only a glimmer of light remained in the sky.

As they approached their destination, Lin Xingyou heard a fierce fight and the light released by their supernatural powers was reflected on the high walls.

She frowned and murmured, "Not finished yet?"

"What?" Yan Ze, who was walking side by side with her, didn't hear everything.

Lin Xingyou turned to look at him, his doubts growing even more intense. He pointed at the high wall and said, "Can't you see it?"

Following her hand, Yan Ze looked puzzled, "Nothing?"

What did she want him to see?

“Damn it!”

Lin Xingyou cursed inwardly and pulled Yan Ze along to run all the way. Yan Ze noticed that something was wrong with her and quickened his pace.

Is it something he can't see! ?
