Why did Yue Jiuyue ask the three brothers to clean the house?
The three brothers had just finished tidying up the three houses, moved the chickens and rabbits to the two houses where their family slept, and put two burlap sacks of grain in the houses. They were tidying up the thatched hut when the village chief and his wife, wearing straw raincoats and bamboo hats, suddenly came to their door.
After exchanging greetings, and prompted by the village chief's several dry coughs, the village chief's wife braced herself and stated the purpose of her visit.
"Well, Aunt Chaodong, it's like this, the houses of these uncles and elders have all been flooded. They are all elderly people living alone, and there are no younger generations to take care of them. If a collapse occurs tonight, it will be a matter of life and death, right?"
The houses in the village aren't big enough for everyone, so they thought since your family just built two rooms, they wanted to ask if they could squeeze in with you. Don't worry, they brought their own food, pots and pans, clothes and bedding, so you don't need to take care of them!
