Chapter 334 The smile is so sweet and healing.

While "Little Teacher" Lin Chaoan was studying hard and making progress every day, Yue Jiuyue's family continued as usual, except that Xiaoman'er had started eating with Yue Jiuyue and the others.

Yue Jiuyue didn't know why Lin Chaodong and Liu Shi were doing this. Was it because they were starting to look down on Xiaoman'er for being a girl, or was it for some other reason? If it was really because of her gender, Yue Jiuyue would have to have a serious talk with the couple.

"My mom told me to come and cheer you up. Grandma, are you happy now?"

The innocent little girl tilted her head and looked at Yue Jiuyue, as if to say, "If you're not happy, I'll keep trying." Yue Jiuyue didn't know what to say.

Why would you send a child to cheer her up?

It seems that they don't dislike Xiaoman'er's gender, but rather have ulterior motives, so she won't care.

"Would you like to eat here, or with your parents?"

"Eat with your parents!"

Little Man'er's eyes sparkled with joy, but unfortunately, they dimmed again the next second. She pitifully asked Yue Jiuyue once more:

"Is Grandma happy?"

“If Xiaoman is happy, I am happy! So, from now on, Xiaoman can eat wherever she wants. If your parents ask you to come over for dinner to please me, just say this to them.”

Yue Jiuyue herself didn't really understand what "grandparental affection" meant. She only knew that children always liked being with their parents, and everyone else was just there for show.

"Yay!"

The little girl happily stood up and jumped around a couple of times, then asked cautiously:

"Can I go back now?"

Seeing Yue Jiuyue nod with a smile, Xiaoman'er happily darted away, leaving behind a string of giggles.

Yue Jiuyue, who was standing at the door with Erkang's outstretched hand, wanting to remind her to wrap her head up so she wouldn't get cold, gave up when she saw how happy she was.

It's not far at all.

As soon as Yue Jiuyue closed the door, she heard the footsteps from before outside. She opened the door and, sure enough, it was Xiaoman'er who had returned.

"What's wrong?"

Surely her words don't carry any weight anymore?

"My mother told me to come and get the food."

The little girl said in a sweet, coquettish voice, her happiness evident on her face.

"Okay, take it."

Little Man'er didn't know what she should take; she only remembered that her mother had told her to take more meat and vegetables, so she picked up the bowl of meat and vegetables and tried to leave.

But the little girl couldn't possibly lift the earthenware pot filled with meat and vegetable soup. She glanced anxiously at Yue Jiuyue, then at Lin Chaobei, and then called out breathlessly:

"Little Daddy, could you please take this dish to our house?"

Lin Chaobei watched as his little niece went straight for the only bowl of meat on the table. Unable to lift it, she knew to ask for help. He thought to himself that this niece was quite clever and wouldn't suffer when she grew up. He immediately smiled and agreed.

"Alright, let's go!"

Seeing Lin Chaobei carrying a bowl of meat and vegetables, Xiaoman quickly took two fried dough cakes from the basket of flatbreads and followed Lin Chaobei out.

As she passed by Yue Jiuyue, she didn't forget to give Yue Jiuyue a sweet smile. To be honest, it really made Yue Jiuyue's hands itch to move her. The child's smile was just too sweet and too healing!

She was Xiaoman'er's grandmother, so there was no need for her to hold back. She gave Xiaoman'er a kind grandmotherly smile and reached out to gently touch Xiaoman'er's rosy cheeks.
