What a huge lump!
So fluffy!
This is... a big cat?
Is it the big cat I saw today?
How did it get into her room so quietly? It wasn't there when she was scalding her feet!
How scary! How terrifying!
Is this the power of the Mountain King?
Still teary-eyed and shedding tears?
She was the one who was clearly about to cry!
Yue Jiuyue lifted her foot, intending to step back.
But it was startled by the big cat's gentle glance.
The cat lifted one of its feet, making her unsteady. She was terrified, yet she didn't want to die. So, without disturbing the big cat, she slowly lowered the raised foot.
Before its toes even touched the ground, the big cat shook its fur and then strolled leisurely toward the door.
Before Yue Jiuyue could even feel relieved about her narrow escape, she saw the big cat standing at the door, turning its head to glance at her.
Is this asking her to open the door for it?
That's true, a big cat is just an animal, it's normal that it can't open the door.
She moved forward cautiously, step by step. When she got very close to the big cat, she was really afraid that the big cat would change its attitude towards her and bite her.
Fortunately, the big cat didn't change her expression. She couldn't be slow this time. She quickly stepped forward to open the latch, and then stepped back several steps to make room for the big cat.
Unexpectedly, the big cat went out and then stood at the door waiting for her.
It was waiting for her, wasn't it? Otherwise, why didn't it move? Otherwise, why did it stop and look at her again?
Look, it's looking at her again!
Yue Jiuyue really wanted to shout, so that the people in the courtyard would definitely come out to save her immediately!
However, there is a possibility that someone might get injured, and even more likely that someone might die.
She wasn't acting out of a saintly sentiment; she just felt that she was already so old and had lived two lifetimes, although those two lifetimes combined weren't even as long as someone else's one lifetime, she was indeed lucky enough.
Why involve other people's lives?
If something were to happen to her, she wouldn't be able to pay it back!
After hesitating for a moment, Yue Jiuyue still didn't call out to anyone. Instead, she obediently followed behind the big cat, opened the courtyard gate for it, and continued walking with it.
It's not human, so it shouldn't be able to walk anywhere freely, but it doesn't.
Perhaps I followed her scent to find my way here, so I took the same stone path she used to take home, without taking any shortcuts elsewhere.
Yue Jiuyue suddenly didn't find the big cat scary anymore. Of course, she was still afraid, but it was probably because she had calmed down and relaxed. After all, she had prepared for the worst.
She followed the big cat around to where she had seen it, but this was inside the wall.
The big cat leaped up and jumped out in a flash.
And that was the end of it.
Yue Jiuyue: |???ω??)???
Could it be that the big cat took her out for a walk?
How can that be so unbelievable!
Yet, they couldn't refute it.
She tentatively took a step back, and then heard the big cat roar softly, as if afraid others would hear it.
Oh, it didn't want her to leave, nor did it bring her here to walk the baby; it just wanted her to keep following along, right?
However, this wall is meant to keep out large wild animals. How could someone who is less than two meters tall possibly jump over it? She doesn't have the jumping ability of a big cat!
"Roar~~~"
Perhaps growing impatient, the big cat growled softly again.
Yue Jiuyue was really afraid that it would get annoyed and then jump back to bite her.
But she looked left and right and couldn't find a suitable tool. There was no ladder, and she couldn't even see a large rock.
I heard that many people go to the mountains outside to dig for medicinal herbs, but how come there isn't even a stepping stone? Did they all take a detour from the west gate to get out?
They're all so well-behaved!
Her obedience has put her in a dilemma.
"Oh ho!"
Just as Yue Jiuyue was wondering what to do, she suddenly noticed a huge creature floating in front of her before landing right in front of her.
Okay, she's seeing things. The big cat has jumped in from outside the wall again.
The big cat stared at her, its gaze no longer so gentle. It leaned forward slightly and made "Awooo~ Awooo~" sounds, as if threatening her.
Even a skilled cook can't cook without rice!
Looking at the big cat's fierce eyes, Yue Jiuyue had no choice but to resign herself to climbing the wall.
Even if you can't climb it, you have to climb it; at least you have to show the effort.
Jump, jump, and jump again...
She can't even touch the top of the wall; she's still a long way off.
Perhaps the big cat saw her efforts; she truly couldn't jump over it, and she wasn't trying to escape, so...
She started circling the wall again.
She thought she would have the chance to ride a big cat!
What a great opportunity! What a pity!
After detouring through the west gate, Yue Jiuyue was able to leave. She followed the big cat for who knows how long, losing her slippers countless times and being scraped by tree branches like a madwoman, before finally reaching her destination.
What a huge pit!
It didn't look like a pit dug for hunting; it seemed to have formed naturally. Inside, a large cat was trying to jump out again and again, but it appeared to be unsuccessful.
So, that's why the big cat went to call her for help?
But what could a weak woman like her possibly do here?
Hmm, it seems there's quite a lot I can do...
That was the purpose of seeing the big cat. Yue Jiuyue looked around. Cutting down branches was hard work, and she wouldn't be able to use them if she didn't have enough. The vines would take a long time to weave before they could be used, but she couldn't move a big cat!
