When Yue Jiuyue finished her first job of the day and stepped out of the house, she saw three men and one woman looking lost in the courtyard, along with a bewildered little child.
What they heard was the cheering of a group of people not far away, but the people in the courtyard seemed unable to hear these sounds, trapped in their own emotions and isolated from the outside world.
Even when she, as their mother, stood in front of them, they didn't react at all.
