"Sizzle..."
The old lady convulsed again and collapsed to the ground, her eyes rolling back as she fainted.
So, now that everyone knows they have epilepsy and doesn't know when they might have a seizure, why don't they behave themselves?
Yue Jiuyue put the stun gun back into her spatial storage, then dragged the old lady back to bed and dutifully tucked her in again.
The original owner had used this quilt for many years; it was tattered and thin. So Yue Jiuyue wasn't worried about making the old lady sick. She just sat quietly to the side, waiting for the old lady to wake up again, hoping that the old lady would speak properly this time. She didn't want to have to take action again.
She wasn't afraid of anything else, but she was afraid that the old lady would scare herself and actually cause herself some kind of illness.
She actually respects the elderly and cares for the young. The reason she used the stun gun she had prepared for going up the mountain was because she didn't want to play a game of cat and mouse with the old lady in the sweltering heat, especially since the old lady liked to use foul language and she didn't want to hear those unpleasant words cursing her.
Thinking that the old lady had only woken up about four hours earlier, Yue Jiuyue decided not to stay by her side this time, but instead went out to see how her eldest daughter-in-law was hiding those little cuties.
"What? In the cellar?"
Yue Jiuyue was shocked.
Why would she think of hiding in the cellar? Almost every household here has a cellar, especially in the summer, where things can be stored for a few more days. How could the old lady not go?
"Oh, Mother, is it not okay?"
Liu really didn't know where to hide the chickens and rabbits. They weren't food or vegetables that you could just dig a hole to hide them in. They could make noise and cluck!
"middle!"
By the time the old lady woke up, it was already dark. What's the big deal about that?
"oh."
Liu breathed a sigh of relief, looked at the sky, and realized it was already late afternoon, only then realizing she had missed lunch.
"Mom, it's already late afternoon, I'm going to cook."
It was the first time she had ever met her mother-in-law's biological mother, and she was so fierce. Especially when she heard the clattering and clanging sounds coming from inside the house, she was truly flustered and at a loss.
"Alright, that's enough for you two. Just don't forget in the future. Xiaoman is still young, she won't be hungry."
After Yue Jiuyue finished speaking, she went back to her room.
Of course, it's to give myself special treatment.
She didn't feel hungry when Liu didn't mention it, mainly because she was worried that the old lady might have been injured by that electric shock. She was relieved when she saw that the old lady had woken up.
At this moment, after Liu Shi mentioned it, Yue Jiuyue felt so hungry that she couldn't stand it anymore. Anyway, the old lady was still unconscious, so she wasn't afraid of being seen. She took out half a steamed bun and started to eat it dry.
It wasn't that Yue Jiuyue didn't want to eat something good, it was just that the other foods had such strong aromas that they couldn't mask them.
Half a steamed bun wasn't enough to fill Yue Jiuyue's stomach, nor could she allow herself to be full. In this famine year when everyone was eating bran and wild vegetables, if she ate her fill and became plump and healthy, she would become an easy target.
"Mother, the wild vegetable soup is ready. Would you like to have a bowl?"
Liu knocked on the door from outside.
Yue Jiuyue looked at the bottle of mineral water in her hand, then put the cap back on and went out.
"You two can have this bowl. I haven't had any water all day and I'm really thirsty. A little bit of wild vegetable soup will do."
As she spoke, Yue Jiuyue took a bowl, scooped up a bowl of wild vegetable soup that contained only broth and no wild vegetables, and slowly blew on it to finish drinking it.
Looking at her mother-in-law, Liu suddenly felt that her mother-in-law seemed to be a nice person.
