Night slowly falls like a huge piece of black silk.
In the camp, several bonfires were lit one after another, and the warm flames flickered in the darkness.
Except for some people resting in the tents, most people sat around the campfire, with relaxed or tired expressions on their faces, discussing family matters.
Xu Mo was also sitting quietly on the picnic mat at this time.
He glanced at the crowd around him with a calm expression.
Sitting on his left were Rick's family, and on his right were Amy and Andrea.
At this moment, Rick gently held Lori with his left hand and hugged Carl tightly with his right hand, with an emotional expression on his face, expressing his feelings.
He tilted his head back slightly, his eyes gleaming with reminiscence, and slowly began, "After waking up in the hospital, the word 'bewildered' best describes my feelings. I was completely bewildered, looking at the dire situation around me. I felt a little scared, lost, and doubtful, but mostly, I was lost."
His voice was low and full of emotion, as if he had returned to that panicked moment.
"Words cannot describe it. Sometimes words are so pale and powerless." Dale shook his head slightly, his eyes full of emotion, and spoke from his heart.
He looked into the distance, as if thinking about the helplessness of life.
The others also sighed, with expressions of sympathy or resonance on their faces.
Their eyes revealed their understanding of Rick's experience.
Xu Mo looked at the burning bonfire, the firelight shining on his face, and he listened quietly.
Suddenly, he keenly felt Amy leaning towards him.
His body jolted slightly, and he subconsciously turned his head to look at Amy.
Then I saw Amy turning her head hastily in panic.
Amy's cheeks flushed slightly, and there was a hint of shyness in her eyes.
Xu Mo raised the corners of his mouth slightly and smiled, then turned his head and continued to look at Rick.
Rick also continued to speak at this time, with a hint of bitterness on his face, expressing his feelings.
"I felt like I was cut off from the world. For a while, I thought I was trapped in a nightmare, a coma, and I would never wake up."
His brows furrowed slightly, as if he was immersed in that painful memory again.
Carl blinked his innocent eyes, looked at Rick and said, "Mom said you were dead."
There was a hint of curiosity and doubt in his eyes.
Rick glanced at Lori beside him, his eyes full of understanding. He smiled and said, "It's reasonable for her to think so. Don't blame her."
His tone was gentle, full of tolerance for Lori.
Lori, who was next to Rick, glanced at Sean, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes. Then she looked at Rick and explained, "When the situation got worse, the hospital told me that they would transfer all of you patients to Atlanta, but nothing happened."
Her voice trembled slightly, as if she was recalling that anxious time.
Rick nodded slightly and said solemnly, "I'm not surprised to see Atlanta in this state. It seems that even the hospital has been taken over by zombies."
His eyes revealed his helplessness towards this cruel world.
Sean raised his chin slightly and said with a smug look on his face, "That's right, I finally managed to rescue everyone."
There was a glint of pride in his eyes.
Rick's eyes were filled with gratitude. He looked at Sean with emotion and said, "You know, I don't know how to thank you enough. I don't know what else to say."
His tone was sincere and full of gratitude to Sean.
Xu Mo listened quietly, his eyes occasionally scanning Rick, Lori, Sean and others.
There was a thoughtful look in his eyes and his brows were slightly furrowed.
He was thinking about how to solve the problem of Sean and Rick turning against each other and killing each other.
Sean and Rick became enemies and killed each other, and Sean was eventually killed by Rick, which is also a regrettable point in the original drama.
In the original series, Sean does not die and will become one of the main fighting forces of Rick's team.
However, given the development of the plot in the original novel, it would be extremely difficult for the two brothers to avoid becoming enemies.
From Rick's perspective: his wife was slept with by his best brother, and even the child might be his best brother's.
His heart felt as if it were pierced by a sharp knife, filled with pain and anger.
From Sean's perspective: his best brother died, and while taking care of his best brother's wife and children, he fell in love with his best brother's wife again. As a result, after stepping into that field, his best brother miraculously resurrected, and the woman he loved returned to his best brother's arms.
His heart was filled with entanglement and helplessness, and he was caught in a painful struggle.
All I can say is that Rick and Sean are indeed good brothers. If Xu Mo were to put himself in either Rick or Sean's position, he would not be able to accept it.
However, Rick actually endured it and kept tolerating Sean until Sean wanted to kill him, and then he decided to take action against Sean.
At first, Sean planned to leave on his own initiative because of his guilt towards Rick.
If Lori hadn't made trouble, let Sean stay, and fanned the flames between the two of them, the two of them wouldn't have ended up like this.
But at this time, even if Loli was killed, it would be of no avail, as a seed had already been planted in the hearts of both of them.
And this seed will eventually grow into a towering tree. Lori's fanning the flames only speeds up the growth of the seed.
