Chapter 21 Conversation with Amy

afternoon.

Xu Mo slowly returned to his tent, his heart filled with worry about Amy's condition, and his pace couldn't help but quicken a bit. He gently lifted the tent curtain and peeked inside, only to see Amy still sleeping soundly. Inside the tent, Amy was still sleeping.

That peaceful sleeping face, as if everything around her had nothing to do with her. However, as if she heard the subtle movement of Xu Mo returning to the tent, Amy's long eyelashes trembled slightly a few times, and then slowly opened her eyes. She sat up from the mat in a daze, rubbed her sleepy eyes with one hand, and there was a hint of confusion in her eyes. She rubbed her sleepy eyes, looked at Xu Mo beside her and said dazedly: "Xu Mo, what time is it now?"

His voice was soft, as if he was still sleepy. "It's already afternoon," Xu Mo replied.

His voice was gentle, and his eyes were full of concern. His gaze always stayed on Amy, paying attention to her condition. "Ah, I slept for so long?" Hearing Xu Mo's words, Amy woke up instantly.

She opened her eyes wide, and the sleepiness in her eyes instantly disappeared, replaced by surprise. But just as she finished speaking, Amy seemed to think of something else and immediately asked Xu Mo: "Xu Mo, did you tell the others in the camp what you said to me yesterday?"

She frowned slightly, her eyes showing a hint of anxiety and expectation, and her hands unconsciously clasped together, as if waiting for an important answer. Xu Mo nodded: "Yes, I told them everything I told you yesterday."

His expression was calm and steady, his eyes were firm, giving people a sense of reliability. Amy: "What do they think?"

Amy asked eagerly, leaning forward slightly, her eyes filled with curiosity and worry, as if the opinions of those people were of vital importance to her. Xu Mo thought for half a second and then spoke up, "Your sister Andrea, as well as the Dale and Dixon brothers, are willing to go. As for the people in the camp, some are still hesitant and a little reluctant to go."

He spoke slowly and steadily, his voice steady. A flicker of helplessness flashed across his eyes as he spoke these words, but he quickly regained his composure. "So I've given them a day to consider it. By tomorrow afternoon, those who want to go can come with me, and those who don't want to go can do it themselves."

Xu Mo crossed his arms, his eyes deep, as if thinking about something. Amy nodded and listened carefully, then asked in surprise and confusion: "Why don't they want to go?"

Her brows furrowed tightly, her eyes filled with confusion, her mouth slightly open, as if she was quite surprised by the result. Wouldn't it be a good idea to go to a safe shelter? Why wouldn't anyone want to go? This puzzled her.

Amy was bewildered, her mind racing with all sorts of possible reasons. Her eyes were filled with confusion and worry, as if she were anxious about the choices those people had made. Xu Mo summarized the reasons why those in the camp didn't want to go, saying, "The main reason they didn't want to go was that the journey was too long. They didn't want to travel, and they were afraid of encountering danger along the way."

Xu Mo sighed slightly, a hint of understanding in his eyes. After all, everyone has their own concerns. This reason is indeed not wrong. After all, the distance is so far, if there is any emergency along the way, it is indeed very dangerous.

He thought silently in his heart, with a hint of helplessness in his eyes. After all, he couldn't force others to make a choice. After all, they didn't have the prophetic perspective of Xu Mo, so there was nothing wrong with having such thoughts.

Xu Mo shook his head slightly, a hint of tolerance in his eyes. He knew that everyone could only make decisions based on what they saw and experienced. Xu Mo could understand, of course, but he did not agree with these people's choices.

His eyes grew firm, and he thought to himself, in a world like this, one cannot just focus on the immediate comfort and ignore the potential dangers. As the saying goes, the bigger the storm, the more expensive the fish; risk and reward are directly proportional.

Xu Mo silently repeated this sentence in his mind, his eyes revealing a hint of determination and courage. He firmly believed that his choice was the right one. Besides, now that the zombies have arrived near the camp, they are still naive and stubbornly believing that this is a safe and suitable place to build a shelter. This is quite foolish.

Thinking of this, Xu Mo couldn't help but frown slightly, with a hint of disdain in his eyes. He really couldn't understand those people's short-sightedness. After hearing what Xu Mo said, Amy also understood those who were struggling and unwilling to go.

She bit her lip lightly, a look of sympathy and helplessness in her eyes, thinking to herself, if it were her, she might have hesitated too. After all, leaving a familiar environment and heading into a dangerous and unfamiliar one would make anyone feel uneasy and afraid.

Amy's eyes dimmed, and a complex emotion surged in her heart. She knew how torturous this kind of anxiety and fear was. "If they don't want to go, what should we do?" Amy asked Xu Mo.

Her eyes were filled with worry and helplessness, and her hands tightly grasped the corners of her clothes, as if she was seeking an answer, an answer that would reassure her. After all, they were all her companions who had been with her for a month, and she was unwilling to abandon them like this.

Amy's eyes were filled with reluctance, and she recalled every moment she had spent with her companions, feeling a pang of sadness. Of course, most importantly, she was a little worried.

She lowered her head slightly, a hint of anxiety in her eyes, and wondered in her heart, if it was just a few of them, could they really succeed? She was worried about whether the six of them, Xu Mo, her sister, Dale, and the Dixon brothers, could successfully reach the prison or even capture it.
