Chapter 28: Conversation with Hershel, Stationed at the Farm

Hershel turned to look at Otis, his eyes filled with anticipation. He hoped Otis would give him an answer. Otis shook his head and said, "Sorry, sir, I don't know either."

Otis looked apologetic, his eyes filled with helplessness. He answered truthfully, dashing Hershel's hopes. Hershel didn't say anything after hearing this. After about half a second, he looked up at Xu Mo and said, "I can allow us to stay, but you have to stay away from our house and not interfere with our normal life."

Hershel nodded slightly, his tone revealing a compromise. Although he had his doubts, he still made a concession. Although he didn't know whether what Xu Mo had just said was true or not, Xu Mo had a large number of people and was in a position of power. He was also a little afraid of angering Xu Mo and his group, so he had no choice but to agree.

Hershel weighed the pros and cons in his heart, his eyes showing helplessness. He knew his situation well and could only choose to compromise. Listening to Hershel's words, Xu Mo smiled and nodded: "No problem, we won't disturb your normal life"

Xu Mo smiled, his eyes filled with gratitude. He expressed his understanding and gratitude for Hershel's decision. He pointed to a barn a hundred meters away and said, "Our people can camp in that barn."

Xu Mo pointed at the barn, his eyes questioning. He proposed a camping plan and waited for Hershel's response. Hearing Xu Mo's words, Hershel's brows also frowned.

Hershel's brows were furrowed, his eyes filled with hesitation. He was a little worried about Xu Mo's proposal. He quickly changed his tone and said, "No need. You can just camp in the front yard. It will be better if you are closer to the house."

Hershel's tone was urgent, and his eyes were cautious. He changed his mind, hoping to better monitor Xu Mo and his group. Sure enough, people's temperaments are all compromises... Xu Mo smiled in his heart, and then thanked Hershel: "Thank you very much."

Xu Mo sighed inwardly, but a smile remained on his face. He expressed his gratitude to Hershel again, with a humble attitude. Hershel continued, "You don't have to thank me. Once you find the prison you mentioned, please leave here as soon as possible."

Hershel's expression was serious, his eyes firm. He reiterated his request to leave, hoping Xu Mo would comply. "Of course." Xu Mo nodded with a smile.

Xu Mo smiled and nodded, his eyes revealing a promise. He agreed to Hershel's request, making his position clear. "Then it's settled." Hershel looked at Xu Mo and said.

Hershel's eyes showed confirmation. He hoped to finalize the matter with Xu Mo and put his mind at ease. He then led Beth, Maggie, and the others into the house and closed the door.

Hershel turned around and walked into the house with his family. He closed the door, still feeling uneasy. After seeing Hershel return to the house, Xu Mo also took out the intercom and said, "It's settled. You all drive the cars over here."

Xu Mo smiled lightly and picked up the intercom. He informed everyone that they could enter the farm, and the heavy stone in his heart finally fell. Soon, the convoy drove into Hershel's front yard.

The convoy slowly drove in, the roar of its engines echoing through the courtyard. Everyone's face was filled with relief; they finally had a temporary place to stay.
