Chapter 32 Xu Mo captures the zombies in the well, Amy and Beth's conversation

Soon, Dale brought over a hemp rope.

"Dale, tie the other end of the rope to that tree." As Xu Mo spoke, he skillfully tied the hemp rope tightly around himself, then pointed to the nearest tree, his eyes revealing a hint of determination and confidence.

He knew the nearby water valve would definitely break. Falling into the water was the least of his worries; he was confident he could finish it off the moment the zombie bit him. However, that would invalidate his bet with Hershel. This was a rare opportunity to simply convince Hershel, and he didn't want to miss it.

"No problem." Dale nodded, with a hint of trust in his eyes. Then he took the other end of the rope and walked steadily towards the tree Xu Mo pointed to and tied the rope carefully.

"Then I'll go down." Xu Mo glanced at everyone with a hint of determination in his eyes, then he moved his hands and feet together and climbed down to the bottom of the well with nimble movements.

"Uh uh ah~uh uh~"

In the well, the zombie smelled the fresh scent of flesh and blood on Xu Mo's body and suddenly became excited. It made a series of creepy noises from its mouth and kept slapping the water surface, splashing water.

Half a meter away from the zombie's head, Xu Mo stopped, his eyes focused and alert. He clamped his legs tightly against the wall of the well to secure himself, then quickly took out another rope and deftly tied it into a single knot with his hands.

The single bowline hitch, also known as the cowboy knot, is a very easy-to-use knot. It can not only easily and quickly catch the target, but also after pulling the rope hard, the knot will automatically tighten and tie the target tightly.

Meanwhile, above the well.

Like everyone else, Amy's face was full of tension. She leaned forward slightly, half-crouching beside the well, her eyes filled with worry and anxiety as she stared at the scene below.

Just then, she felt a gentle pat on her back.

Amy turned her head suddenly and found that the person taking the photo of her was the farmer's little daughter. She remembered her name, it seemed to be Beth.

Just as she was about to ask what was going on, she heard the farmer's daughter whisper, "Your name is Amy, right? My name is Beth. Can we talk over there?"

Amy looked at Beth with a puzzled look in her eyes, and asked in a low voice: "Talk? Talk about what?"

"Let's talk about Xu Mo." Beth lowered her voice and spoke carefully.

Hearing this, Amy frowned slightly, and a hint of doubt and alertness flashed in her eyes.

Why did the farmer's daughter want to talk to her about Xu Mo?

But since it was about Xu Mo, she couldn't refuse.

"Okay." Amy nodded slightly, with a hint of hesitation in her eyes.

"Then let's go talk under that tree."

Soon, the two left the crowd and sat down at a table and chairs under a big tree.

Although the others noticed this, they just took a quick look and didn't pay much attention to it. At this moment, all their attention was on Xu Mo. Their eyes were filled with tension and concern as they stared at the well.

Looking at Beth sitting opposite her, Amy also got straight to the point. She looked directly at Beth and asked, "What do you want to talk about Xu Mo?"

"I want to ask when did you and Xu Mo meet? Did you know each other before the disaster?" Beth also asked, with a hint of curiosity and expectation in her eyes.

Amy shook her head, a hint of reminiscence in her eyes, and said, "Xu Mo and I met after the disaster, which is less than a week ago."

Beth's eyes widened with surprise after hearing what Amy said. She said, "You two are so close in just one week. Judging from the way you look, you should be boyfriend and girlfriend, right?"

"Yeah." When she said this, a happy smile appeared on Amy's face, and her eyes were sweet, as if she was immersed in beautiful memories.

Seeing the smile on Amy's face, Beth couldn't help but feel curious. With doubt in her eyes, she asked:

"Then can you tell me how your relationship became so good? And how did Xu Mo become the leader of your team?"

Amy lowered her head slightly, her eyes full of thought. After a moment, she briefly recounted to Beth the changes in her relationship with Xu Mo, as well as what Xu Mo had done in the abandoned quarry.

After listening to this, Beth's eyes were filled with surprise, her mouth slightly opened, and she secretly sighed in her heart: So this is how Xu Mo became the leader of the team, it is indeed a bit legendary.

Especially on the night when the zombies attacked, Xu Mo encouraged and inspired everyone while trying her best to protect everyone. Just by listening to Amy's narration, she felt as if she was there herself. Her heart was deeply moved, and her eyes revealed a hint of admiration and yearning.

But thinking of what Amy had just said, describing how horrible and cruel the zombies were, Beth became uncertain again, with a hint of confusion and entanglement in her eyes.

Are these patients the ones her father mentioned, or the zombies that Xu Mo and Amy mentioned?

If what Xu Mo and Amy said was true, then wouldn't her mother and brother really be dead and really turn into those monsters?

No, that's impossible, mom and brother are not that kind of monsters!

But... But what if it really is that kind of monster?

What should she do then?

Thinking of this, Beth's eyes became dim, her heart seemed to be in a mess, and she began to consume herself mentally, looking a little listless.

Seeing Beth was silent for a long time, Amy's eyes showed a trace of concern. She asked softly and patiently, "Is there anything else you want to ask? If not, I'll leave."
