Chapter 37 Seeing Through, Jimmy's Death (Major Change)

If it wasn't the truth, then Jimmy was lying.

Xu Mo's eyes instantly became as sharp as an eagle. He wondered in his heart, why would Jimmy lie? Countless thoughts flashed through his mind, and in the end he could only think of one possibility, which was to cover up his true purpose.

What is Jimmy's real purpose?

Late at night, a man left his house instead of sleeping and headed to a barn full of zombies.

Apart from wanting to open the barn and let the zombies out to harm people, Xu Mo really couldn't think of any other reason why Jimmy came to the barn.

You can't have a romantic relationship or a life conversation with a zombie, right? That's ridiculous.

And after dinner tonight, Amy told him that Beth would find Jimmy to talk about breaking up because of him.

Even in peacetime, when a man and a woman break up, it is relatively common for the one who is broken up with to turn evil and kill people.

What’s more, this is the end of the world, and the evil of human nature will be infinitely magnified.

Xu Mo felt that he had every reason to believe that Jimmy had turned evil because of the breakup with Beth, and was ready to kill his "new love" to vent his hatred.

And Jimmy's behavior in front of him was completely consistent with his above speculation.

Jimmy just wanted to open the barn door, let the zombies out, and attack their camp.

You have to know that the barn is only about a hundred meters away from their base.

Moreover, today's zombies have evolved, and it only takes them a few tens of seconds to jog to their base.

Even if someone was on guard, if that person wasn't him, their team would definitely suffer losses.

If there was no one on guard at night, everyone except him would probably have been wiped out.

Thinking of this, Xu Mo looked at Jimmy, and a cold murderous intent instantly rose in his eyes, as if it could freeze the air.

He doesn't think he's a bad person, but he doesn't think he's a good person either.

Regardless of whether his previous assumption was true or not, Jimmy's current behavior had posed a threat to him and the rest of his team.

This has threatened his bottom line, so Jimmy must die.

However, Xu Mo did not act immediately.

He narrowed his eyes slightly and fell into deep thought. He thought carefully and realized that killing Jimmy with a single blow would be too easy for him.

He happened to be a little bored, so he could play with Jimmy first and let him taste the fear.

Didn’t Jimmy want them to be bitten to death by zombies?

Then he would let Jimmy experience the feeling of being bitten to death by zombies himself. This could be considered as a way of giving someone a taste of his own medicine.

Thinking of this, looking at Jimmy's trembling appearance, Xu Mo's face showed a strange smile. He patted Jimmy's shoulder gently and said in a relaxed tone: "So that's how it is. I thought you were so depressed that you wanted to find a zombie to commit suicide."

"Ahaha, how is that possible?" Jimmy forced an ugly smile, trying to hide his inner panic.

"But then again, Jimmy, your whole body is shaking. Are you feeling unwell?" Xu Mo pretended to be surprised, his face full of concern, but he was actually testing him.

"The weather... is a bit cold, so I'm shivering." Upon hearing this, Jimmy forced a smile, his eyes dodging, not daring to look directly into Xu Mo's eyes.

"Yeah, winter is almost here, right?" Xu Mo said casually as if nothing had happened, and continued to observe Jimmy's reaction calmly.

"Yes, yes." Jimmy still maintained that stiff smile, but beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.

Inside the barn, the zombies heard the conversation between Xu Mo and Jimmy, and their bloodthirsty instincts seemed to be awakened. They let out bursts of creepy roars and began to bang on the barn door, as if they wanted to break it down and rush out to devour the prey in front of them.

Hearing the noise, Jimmy turned pale with fright. He shone the flashlight in that direction in fear. His hands kept shaking and the light of the flashlight also shook, making the whole scene look even more eerie and terrifying.

Xu Mo glanced at the barn, then at Jimmy, a smile on his face again, and said, "By the way, Jimmy, don't you want to see your friends and neighbors who have turned into zombies in the barn? They seem to be welcoming you. Go and see them now. I'll wait for you here."

"Okay... okay." Jimmy stammered, looking at the barn door, his throat dry and swallowing involuntarily.

When he thought of the zombies behind the door, Jimmy felt a chill rushing from the soles of his feet to his forehead, and his heart was filled with fear. But he couldn't help but look, after all, he had said before that he was here to see his zombie friends and neighbors.

It took a lot of effort to get Xu Mo to believe this reason. If he didn't read it, wouldn't it be obvious to Xu Mo that he had just lied?

Thinking of this, Jimmy could only bite the bullet and slowly approach the barn door step by step. Every step felt like walking on a knife edge, painful and difficult.

The closer he got to the barn door, the fear in his heart became more and more intense, as if magnified by a magnifying glass.

"What are you doing? Are you still going to watch? Hurry up!" Looking at Jimmy's slow progress like a turtle, Xu Mo deliberately raised his voice and urged him directly, with a barely perceptible hint of teasing in his eyes.

Hearing Xu Mo's fatal urging, a trace of hatred flashed in Jimmy's eyes, and he secretly cursed Xu Mo in his heart.

If it weren't for Xu Mo, Beth wouldn't have broken up with him; if it weren't for Xu Mo, he wouldn't have to be so scared to approach the zombies in the barn now.
