Chapter 52 Blood Moon

Unlike the moon in the past, today's moon is blood red. The blood-red light seems to permeate the entire world, exuding a strange and gloomy atmosphere.

The red moon had been seen once before a few years before the end of the world. His wife and daughter Penny learned from the news that there would be a total lunar eclipse that night, so he left work early and waited with them on the rooftop of the house all night. In the end, they successfully witnessed the total lunar eclipse.

During the total lunar eclipse that night, the moon was also blood red, but it was still much darker than the moon now.

Today, the blood moon above our heads is particularly gorgeous and shining, just like the sun in the dark night. The blood-red light is sprinkled on the earth, and wherever we look, there is a hint of blood-red, as if the whole world is shrouded in a layer of blood-colored fog, revealing an ominous premonition.

“Bang, bang, bang—! Bang, bang, bang—!!”

At this moment, there was a violent banging sound coming from the partition in the room. The sound was like thunder, and it was particularly harsh in the silent room.

The Governor frowned immediately, a hint of annoyance flashed in his eyes, and he looked over there. His daughter Penny, who had turned into a zombie, was imprisoned in that room.

"Penny, do you also want to see the blood moon today?" The Governor's eyes revealed a trace of sadness and helplessness. He muttered to himself, drank the whiskey in his hand in one gulp, and prepared to walk towards the compartment.

At this moment, there was another knock on the main door of the room. The sound was quick and loud, as if urging something.

Then a voice came from outside the door: "Governor, it's urgent!"

The Governor frowned, a hint of impatience in his eyes. After thinking for half a second, he forced a relaxed expression and patted Milton on the shoulder.

"Milton, what's the matter?"

Milton's face was full of tension, with beads of sweat oozing from his forehead. There was a hint of panic in his eyes. He said nervously:

"Martinez was on the watchtower when he discovered a group of nearly a hundred zombies heading towards our community!"

“Now it’s less than a few hundred meters away from our community.”

Milton's words hadn't finished yet.

Bursts of gunfire rang out near the wall of Woodbury. The sound of gunfire crackled like firecrackers, breaking the tranquility of the night and making Milton's face even paler.

The Governor frowned upon hearing this, his eyes showing a hint of solemnity. After thinking for half a second, he put on a relaxed expression, patted Milton's shoulder again, and said in a casual tone:

"Milton, don't be nervous. We have walls and weapons that can resist the attacks of the zombies."

After hearing this, the tension on Milton's face relaxed a lot. With a hint of trust in his eyes, he said, "Governor, you are right."

"You continue with your scientific research. You don't need to worry about the zombies." The governor patted Milton's shoulder again, with a look of unquestionable determination in his eyes, and then he walked quickly towards the wall.

On a remote road.

Car group.

A bald man with a fierce look in his eyes sat on the back of a modified truck. He looked up at the blood moon in the sky with a hint of doubt and vigilance in his eyes. He couldn't help but frowned, and that frown seemed to be able to kill a fly.

A red moon is not common, and it is such a bright moon. This strange sight made him feel a little uneasy, as if something bad was about to happen.

"Zombies! There are zombies coming!"

At this moment, someone in the camp suddenly shouted in panic. There was fear in the voice, as if the footsteps of death were approaching.

………

Pennsylvania.

Philadelphia.

A building several hundred meters high.

Major General Bill stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window on the top floor, looking at the blood moon in the sky with a serious look. Outside the window, fighter jets roared past the side of the tall building, and the huge roar seemed to be telling of the impending crisis.

He had just received a report from a reconnaissance plane that a tide of tens of thousands of zombies was approaching their base. The huge number was like a surging tide, about to submerge everything.

There was a hint of anxiety and worry in his eyes, his fists were clenched, and he was secretly thinking about how to deal with the situation. The whole city seemed to be shrouded in a tense atmosphere.

The Hospital Guard, the Alexandria Community, the Hilltop Village, the Kingdom of God, the Ten Thousand People Federation, and various survivor camps around the world are also experiencing similar scenes. People are either terrified, nervous, or worried. On this night shrouded in blood, an unknown crisis is quietly approaching.
