Chapter 6 Huge Profits

"Calling base camp, this is T, does anyone hear me?" T frowned, his eyes full of anxiety, his hands tightly holding the walkie-talkie, as if he was holding a life-saving straw, and shouted loudly with a trembling voice.

"Can anyone receive my message?" He raised his voice again, his eyes fixed on the intercom, his lips slightly pursed, his heart full of anxiety, hoping for a response.

T quickly tuned the frequency of the walkie-talkie to the frequency of the civilian radio station, and began to call impatiently. His fingers pressed the buttons on the walkie-talkie quickly, and beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.

Meanwhile at the abandoned quarry camp.

"Zizizizi... Calling base camp, zizizi... This is T-boy, zizizizi... Does anyone read?"

"Zizizi... Can anyone receive my message?" Tzai's intermittent voice came from the radio in the camp.

Upon hearing this voice, everyone who was originally busy was stunned at first, and then a nervous look appeared on their faces. They hurriedly stopped the work in their hands and gathered around, stretching their necks and staring at the radio.

Dell's expression was solemn. He strode forward and quickly picked up the radio receiver. His fingers hurriedly adjusted the volume and turned it to amplified mode. He opened his mouth and replied loudly, "Hello, the signal here is not very good."

"Please repeat, please repeat!" Dale frowned even deeper, the veins on his forehead bulged slightly, his eyes were full of anxiety, and he hoped to hear clearly what T said next.

On the radio:

"Zizizi... Sean, is that you?"

"We're in trouble."

"We're trapped in the department store."

"There are zombies everywhere"

"There were hundreds and hundreds of them. We were surrounded."

Hearing what T said on the radio, everyone else in the abandoned quarry camp felt as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over their hearts. They shuddered all over, their faces turned pale, and their eyes were full of fear and worry.

Dale's eyes widened, his mouth slightly open, his face full of disbelief, and he stammered, "T-boy, please repeat the last sentence, please repeat the last sentence."

"Ziziziziziziziziziziz..." He was answered by a noisy sizzling sound, which was particularly harsh in the silent camp.

Sean raised his hand and touched his head vigorously, his brows knitted tightly together, his eyes full of confusion and helplessness, and he muttered, "He said they were trapped."

Lori, who was standing next to him, looked at him with wide eyes and a worried look on her face. She said anxiously, "He was talking about the department store."

Dale nodded vigorously, his expression serious and certain, and said in a firm tone, "I heard that too."

Lori hurriedly ran to Sean's side and was about to speak, but before she could finish her words, she was interrupted by Sean anxiously.

"No, we can't go find them. We can't let the remaining members take risks." Sean gritted his teeth, his eyes became extremely firm, and his hands unconsciously clenched into fists. Although he felt uncomfortable in his heart, he still said these words decisively.

Hearing Sean's words, Amy's face was filled with shock, her eyes wide as copper bells. She quickly walked up to Sean, leaned forward slightly, looked at him in disbelief, and asked loudly, "Are you just going to abandon them like this and leave them alone?"

Hearing Amy's words, Sean took a deep breath, slowly looked at Amy, and patiently explained: "Amy, I know this is hard to accept."

"For all of us, she volunteered to go to the city." Amy became more and more excited, her face flushed, and her voice unconsciously rose a few degrees, with a hint of tears in her voice.

Sean sighed helplessly and said slowly: "That's right, but she knows the risks, right?"

"If she gets trapped, she's dead!"

"We have to accept the fact that there is nothing we can do."

Hearing Sean's words, Amy was so angry that she was shaking all over. Her eyes seemed to be spitting fire. She gritted her teeth, looked at Sean angrily, and cursed loudly: "She is my own sister, you son of a bitch!"

As she spoke, Amy's eyes instantly turned red, tears welled up in them, she turned her head and ran away quickly, her back looking particularly lonely and sad.

——

"Hello, hello, can you hear me?" On the rooftop of the department store, T Zai held the walkie-talkie tightly in one hand and waved the other hand in the air, as if this could enhance the signal. He tilted his head, with a hint of fatigue in his eyes but he refused to give up, and continued to try to shout at the top of his voice.

"Hehehe..." Moore heard T-boy constantly calling into the intercom, a mocking smile appeared on his face, and he grinned and said sarcastically: "Sean will not send anyone to rescue us."

"Why don't you put down the walkie-talkie? It's giving me a headache, kid." Moore frowned and shook his head impatiently, his eyes full of disgust and his tone with a hint of scolding.

Hearing what Moore said, T-boy turned his head sharply and glared at Moore fiercely, his eyes full of displeasure and anger. He gritted his teeth and retorted: "Why don't you sit your head under your butt, then your head won't hurt."

Moore was stunned for a moment, then he chuckled twice, turned his head and smiled at Tzi, but there was a hint of cunning in his eyes. He looked at Tzi again, raised his eyebrows, and said, "I tell you, if you help me remove the handcuffs, I will definitely be your backer."
