Chapter 65: Capture the Prison, Development Blueprint

"Aside from you, is there anyone else in the prison?" Axel asked, his eyes gleaming with curiosity. He leaned forward slightly, as if trying to grasp more information from Xu Mo's expression.

"Don't ask so many questions. You only have one minute to make a decision." Xu Mo's expression was stern. He didn't directly answer his question, but instead spoke in a hurried tone to urge him. His eyes revealed an unquestionable majesty, as if warning the other party not to ask any more questions.

Hearing Xu Mo's words, the other three people in the prison quickly looked at each other, their eyes meeting in the air, conveying their respective thoughts. Then, they gathered together and began to discuss quietly.

Axel frowned slightly and asked softly, "What do you think?" His eyes swept across his companions' faces, expecting a meaningful response.

The big guy showed a hint of longing in his eyes and murmured, "I want to see my mother." His expression was a little conflicted, as if he was struggling to choose between family affection and the dangerous outside world.

Axel's eyes widened, as if he had heard something unbelievable, and he retorted, "Are you crazy? There are only monsters out there that have come back to life from the dead!" His voice rose unconsciously, with obvious fear in it.

Oscar nodded solemnly and agreed, "Yes, ordinary citizens suddenly broke into the prison, which means there is no other place to go except here." His eyes revealed helplessness and worry.

The big guy looked confused and asked, "So what do you mean?" His eyes were full of doubts as he waited for his companions to give clear suggestions.

Axel's eyes were firm and he said without hesitation, "I want to stay." There was a hint of relief in his expression, as if he had found a safe haven.

Oscar then said, "Me too." There was a sense of relief in his tone, as if he had made the right decision.

"Then I'll stay, too." Despite his size, the big guy was actually quite timid. Seeing his two companions wanting to stay, he hesitated for a moment before finally making his own decision. A flicker of timidity flashed in his eyes, but more of a desire for security.

"We're all willing to stay and join you." Axel turned around, a smile plastered on his face, and said to Xu Mo. His smile was a bit flattering, trying to please Xu Mo.

Xu Mo nodded slightly, his expression relaxed a little, and said: "Since you are willing to join my team, I naturally welcome you. But if you want to officially become a member of us, you need to go through a one-month probation period. I have already dealt with the zombies in the cells of Unit B, and you can move in. During this month, my team will observe your behavior. As long as you pass my team's inspection, you can officially become a member of us." His tone was calm but majestic, and his eyes revealed the importance he attached to team discipline.

"Now take me to see the food reserves in the prison cafeteria." Xu Mo stood up from the dining table, dusted himself off, and spoke with a hint of command in his tone.

"Come with us," Axel quickly replied, his tone clearly flattering. He then led Xu Mo towards the adjacent storage room. His steps were brisk, as if he wanted to demonstrate his "value" as quickly as possible.

Arriving at the storage room, Xu Mo scanned the dazzling array of food and nodded with satisfaction. He secretly estimated that the food reserves here would be enough for his team to eat for two and a half years. A hint of relief flashed in his eyes, as if he saw a guarantee for his team's future survival.

"Okay, follow me from now on. I'll take you to the cells in Unit B." Xu Mo said to the three prisoners, then turned and walked out of the cafeteria. His steps were steady, showing the demeanor of a leader.

After seeing Xu Mo leave, Axel, Oscar and the big guy hurriedly followed him. They walked quickly, fearing that they would lose Xu Mo.

Outside the prison, Rick and his companions were busy, sweating profusely. They temporarily patched up the gap in the barbed wire fence in a corner of the prison with wood and planks.

Rick straightened up, wiped the sweat from his forehead, looked at the others and said, "We should go into the facility to help Xu Mo. He may not be able to deal with so many zombies alone." His eyes were full of worry and his brows were slightly furrowed.

It wasn't that he didn't believe in Xu Mo's strength, but he knew it was too dangerous for him to act alone. Various terrible scenarios emerged in his mind. If Xu Mo was bitten or scratched by someone in a corner, it would be a huge blow to their entire team.

"I agree with that." Moore nodded vigorously, concern in his eyes.

Daryl, Sean and Glenn also nodded affirmatively, and their eyes also revealed their concern for Xu Mo.

Soon, Rick, Moll, Daryl, Sean, and Glenn walked through the gate and into the prison.

"This is a good place, safe." Moore looked around and couldn't help but comment. His eyes revealed admiration, as if he had seen an ideal shelter.

"Indeed." Glenn nodded in agreement, a relieved smile on his face.

"The prison gate of the unit over there is open. Xu Mo should have entered from here," Daryl said, holding a crossbow and pointing at the open iron gate of the unit not far away. His eyes showed keen observation.

"Let's go check it out." Rick nodded decisively and walked towards the front. His steps were firm, showing the responsibility of a leader.
