Chapter 68 Leave or stay?

Xu Mo smiled gently, looked at Amy tenderly, and nodded affirmatively: "Of course, do you still remember that RV? That RV was actually created by me using my superpowers." His tone was calm, as if he was telling a very ordinary thing.

After hearing Xu Mo's story about the super RV, Beth, Maggie, and Andrea all showed the same expression of "as expected". They nodded slightly, and a glint of sudden enlightenment flashed in their eyes.

After speaking to Amy, Xu Mo turned his gaze and looked calmly at Rick and the other people in the conference room, and said solemnly:

"Rick, Mor, Glenn, the rifle you're using was actually created by me through my super powers."

As he spoke, Xu Mo waved his hand gently, his movements graceful and confident. In an instant, a shield and a general-purpose rifle suddenly appeared in his hands. His eyes flickered with a mysterious light, as if he was performing a wonderful magic.

Everyone in the conference room gasped at this sight, their faces filled with shock and disbelief. Then, a deathly silence fell over the entire room. Conjuring guns and shields out of thin air—what else could this be but a superpower? Everyone's minds went blank, completely stunned by the sight before them.

Since Xu Mo is a person with super powers, then what he said before about being a member of the Global Supernatural Research Bureau must be true. Everyone pondered in their hearts and began to have a new understanding of Xu Mo's identity.

After a while, Rick frowned slightly, staring at Xu Mo, and broke the silence first, with a hint of doubt and confusion in his tone: "Xu Mo, why didn't you tell us before?" His eyes revealed a desire to find out the truth.

Xu Mo's expression was calm as he slowly retracted the electric shield and universal rifle into the system space, his movements smooth and natural. He then replied:

"I didn't want to reveal my identity, after all, this involves the supernatural confidentiality agreement." His expression was serious, and his tone showed respect for the agreement. "One of the terms of the confidentiality agreement is that any supernatural existence cannot be disclosed to ordinary people."

"But now the zombie virus is completely out of our control." He sighed softly, a hint of helplessness in his eyes. "The authorities have amended the treaty. If necessary, we can disclose my identity to the general public. And I will also come up with many more amazing things in the future. Sooner or later, it will be exposed anyway." A hint of determination flashed in his eyes. "So I'm laying it all bare and telling you my identity directly, so that you can be prepared." His tone was sincere, trying to make everyone understand his difficulties.

Hearing Xu Mo's words, Rick and the others in the meeting room slowly lowered their heads and fell into deep thought. Their brows were furrowed, and their faces showed a thoughtful expression.

They should have noticed it long ago. Back in Atlanta, they'd already noticed something was wrong with Xu Mo. To have fired over 2,000 rounds of ammunition and still be able to perform extreme parkour proved that Xu Mo was no ordinary person. Everyone felt remorseful, blaming themselves for being so slow.

As for the night when the abandoned quarry camp was attacked, and the blood moon not long ago, they further demonstrated Xu Mo's specialness. These scenes kept appearing in their minds, making them more and more convinced of Xu Mo's extraordinaryness.

But no one thought about it that way. After all, it was too magical. If Xu Mo hadn't just demonstrated how he could conjure up a gun and a shield from thin air, they wouldn't have believed it. They secretly sighed in their hearts, feeling that the development of reality had far exceeded their imagination.

But thinking about it more carefully, even more bizarre things like the resurrection of the dead have already happened, so the emergence of related mysterious organizations and super-powered people does not seem surprising. Their thinking gradually changed, and they began to accept this seemingly absurd fact.

What Xu Mo said made sense. If he had made his intentions known from the beginning, they might all have been wary of him. But now that Xu Mo had spoken out, things were different. Xu Mo had protected them in many crises before. Without his protection, they would have died at the hands of the zombies. This fully demonstrated that Xu Mo was trustworthy. Trust in Xu Mo quietly grew in everyone's hearts.

Most importantly, if Xu Mo really had bad intentions towards them, there was no need for him to reveal his identity. They weighed the pros and cons in their hearts and felt that Xu Mo's sincerity was more and more trustworthy.

Glancing at the silent crowd, Xu Mo remained calm and spoke again:

"Feel free to ask any questions you have." His eyes were filled with tolerance. "Of course, if you doubt, distrust, or reject me because of my identity, I can agree to let you leave our team. I'll also provide you with weapons, food, vehicles, and more." His tone was calm, yet it carried an undeniable firmness.

"I'll give you five minutes to think about it and make a choice. You can choose to stay or leave. Let me be frank with you. If you want to stay, you have to obey my orders, no matter what they are." A hint of majesty flashed in his eyes, as if he was declaring his principles.

Hearing Xu Mo's words, everyone in the conference room felt a sense of oppression. Their bodies stiffened slightly, feeling the powerful aura in Xu Mo's words.
