Chapter 74 Magna

Six hours later.

The blazing sun hung high in the sky, like a giant fireball, pouring its scorching heat unreservedly onto a seemingly deserted town. The streets were scorching, and the air seemed to be distorted by the heat wave.

At that moment, at the end of the town road, a slender figure, outlined by the sunlight, slowly emerged from the horizon. His figure was looming in the heat wave, as if walking out of thin air.

If you take a closer look, you can clearly see that the figure is Xu Mo himself. He has an upright posture and steady steps. Even in such a hot environment, he still exudes a calm and unhurried temperament.

An hour and a half ago, he encountered several daring highway robbers on a highway on the border of South Carolina and North Carolina. They were armed with simple weapons, greed and ferocity in their eyes, and they arrogantly stopped him.

A hint of coldness flashed in Xu Mo's eyes. As for those who attempted to violate him, he naturally fulfilled their "wishes" without hesitation and let them meet their so-called beloved God.

However, these guys were truly despicable. It would have been fine if they had simply stopped him, but they actually littered the road with thumbtacks. This despicable act caused his car's tire to suddenly burst with a "bang" after driving for a while, rendering it useless. Xu Mo frowned, a hint of helplessness on his face.

Xu Mo could only walk along the road, keeping an eye out for abandoned vehicles on the roadside, hoping to find one that was still running and continue his journey. However, he searched all the way but found nothing.

"The junked cars on the roadside aren't working, but I think I should be able to find a car in that little town up ahead that can handle it, right?" Xu Mo looked off into the distance, gazing at the gradually emerging buildings. He pondered this thought and then quickened his pace. A hint of anticipation lingered in his eyes, as if that little town was his hope.

——

at the same time.

Somewhere in the town.

A woman with a graceful figure and long, straight legs, like a rose blossoming in the apocalypse. Her dazzling dark blond hair gleamed enchantingly in the sunlight. She carried a slightly worn shoulder bag, clutched a crowbar, and her eyes shone with determination.

She exerted her strength and smashed the crowbar against the glass door of a supermarket. With a crisp crack, the glass door was knocked open. She rushed out like an agile cheetah.

The moment she rushed out of the supermarket, dozens of zombies, like awakened demons, pushed open the supermarket's glass door and swarmed out with their fangs and claws bared, chasing her closely. Their roars pierced the air, making people's hair stand on end.

Her name was Magna. Before the Cataclysm, she was a mere prisoner, serving her sentence. However, fate took a sudden turn after the Cataclysm. Less than a week after the onset of the Cataclysm, the prison fell to the onslaught of the undead. Fortunately, before the prison fell completely, a kind-hearted guard freed her and the other prisoners.

After escaping from prison, she wandered all the way and finally found this small town, where she settled down and has lived ever since.

Her shelter was located in the north of town. Today, she mustered up the courage to go to the south for the first time to search for supplies. But who could have imagined that upon entering the supermarket, she would find it swarming with zombies. Then, the terrifying scene unfolded.

After running for a while, Magna gradually felt exhausted, her breathing becoming rapid and heavy. Her face flushed, and beads of sweat kept rolling down her forehead. She gasped and glanced back with difficulty.

Behind her, the zombies, though she had pulled them some distance away, still held on with their bloody mouths wide open. Their stumbling steps, like the footsteps of death, approached step by step.

"Damn it!" Magna gritted her teeth and cursed softly as she watched the scene behind her. Her eyes were filled with anger and resentment.

She knew very well that her physical strength was gradually depleting. If she couldn't get rid of these zombies, she would definitely die.

But looking around, there was no place to hide or take cover. Desperate, she could only grit her teeth and continue running. Her steps were a little heavy, but each one was filled with the desire to survive.

However, after running forward for a while, something even more despairing happened.

Less than two hundred meters in front of her, another group of zombies emerged from the darkness, slowly approaching her. Their figures looked particularly hideous in the sunlight, like messengers from hell.

"Damn it! Why are there so many zombies?" Magna stared at the zombies not far away, her eyes wide open, filled with horror and disbelief. Her lips trembled slightly, and she couldn't help but curse.

Normally, seeing a few scattered zombies in broad daylight is enough to give you a headache, but today you actually ran into a group of zombies. This luck is extremely bad.

With wolves in front and tigers behind, she was trapped in a desperate situation of being attacked from both sides, with almost no possibility of survival.

"No, I can't give up yet!" Magna took a deep breath, trying to calm her flustered heart. She closed her eyes and mentally encouraged herself.

She looked around quickly, her eyes as sharp as a hawk, trying to find a solution to her current predicament.
