Chapter 76 Magna (Part 3)

As Xu Mo fell into deep thought, Magna gradually came back to her senses. However, looking at Xu Mo in front of her, her heart was still filled with doubts and uncertainties.

She frowned slightly, her eyes showing a hint of confusion, her mind full of thoughts. After a moment, as if she suddenly remembered something, she raised her head, her eyes locked on Xu Mo, and asked cautiously, "Can you pinch my face?"

She had seen such a statement in The Interpretation of Dreams, a book written by the famous psychologist Freud.

If one day you are unsure whether you are in reality or a dream, ask someone other than yourself to pinch your face. Because people in dreams cannot cause you any physical harm, if you feel no pain, you are dreaming; if you do feel pain, it means you are not dreaming.

Hearing Magna's words, Xu Mo paused slightly and thought quickly for half a second. He thought, it would be okay to satisfy Magna's simple request, and it wouldn't do any harm to him anyway.

"Okay." Xu Mo nodded slightly, then slowly stretched out his hand.

His fingers slowly approached, gently touching Magna's cheek. At that moment, Xu Mo felt the skin on Magna's cheek was silky smooth and delicate, with a unique soft texture, as if the finest silk was gently sliding across his fingertips, delicate and warm. He applied a little pressure and could clearly feel the skin beneath his hand slightly dented, full of elasticity. Where his fingers touched her cheek, he felt a real and subtle touch, like an electric current that instantly spread throughout his body.

Magna felt the warm touch and slight pain on her face, and her mind suddenly became clear. She was absolutely sure that she was not dreaming.

Since I wasn't dreaming, then everything that just happened must be real! ?

Thinking of this, Magna felt a complex emotion in her heart, a mixture of shock at the reality and worry about the unknown.

"By the way, how do you know my name? Do you know me?" There was vigilance and curiosity in Magna's eyes, and a hint of doubt in her tone. She stared at Xu Mo closely, as if trying to peek into the truth from his eyes.

She had just clearly heard Xu Mo call out her name "Magna", but deep in her memory, she could not find any impression of Xu Mo. You know, with Xu Mo's outstanding appearance, unless her memory was completely deleted, she would never forget his appearance easily.

This was a bit tricky. I was so surprised that I accidentally called out Magna's name. How could I explain this? ... Listening to Magna's questioning, Xu Mo secretly groaned in his heart.

He hadn't expected to run into Magna here. After all, in The Walking Dead, Magna wasn't a character until later in the series, ten years after the apocalypse. And in the original series, there was very little information about Magna before she became a member of the main cast.

Therefore, Xu Mo's understanding of Magna is limited to the things that happened after she appeared as a member of the protagonist group.

Suddenly, Xu Mo had an idea and quickly came up with a reason in his mind. Although this reason was a bit far-fetched, he had no choice but to give it a try.

"How could I know you? This is the first time we meet." Xu Mo said in pretended confusion, with an innocent look on his face and a bit of confusion in his eyes, as if he really didn't understand why Magna asked that.

"Then why did you call out my name 'Magna' just now?" Magna frowned even tighter, her eyes full of suspicion. She stared at Xu Mo, as if trying to see through his disguise.

She was very confident in her hearing. She had clearly heard the man in front of her call her name "Magna". How could he deny it?

Xu Mo blinked innocently, his eyes clear and sincere, his face still showing that confused expression: "Really? Maybe you were hallucinating or misheard, after all, you didn't seem to be in a good state just now."

Magna looked at Xu Mo in front of her carefully and seriously, her eyes as sharp as an eagle, trying to find even the slightest flaw in the expression or eyes on his face.

However, after looking for a long time, she didn't see anything.

"Did I really hallucinate just now?" Looking at Xu Mo's innocent face in front of her, and thinking about what he said before, Magna couldn't help but murmur in her heart. She was indeed a little confused just now, and couldn't tell the difference between reality and dreams. Could it be that she really heard it wrong?

She recalled it more carefully and found that she really had no impression of Xu Mo. Besides, she was not a star or a famous person, so it was impossible for Xu Mo to know her through other channels.

"By the way, Magna, are you alone? Where are your companions?" Seeing that Magna had fallen into a state of self-doubt, Xu Mo hurriedly spoke, trying to interrupt her thoughts.

He thought that it was enough to make Magna doubt herself, but he couldn't let her think further. If she figured it out, he wouldn't be able to find any other good reason to explain why he knew her name.

Hearing Xu Mo's words, Magna was slightly stunned, then stopped thinking about that question and began to ponder what Xu Mo had just said.

She paused slightly, a trace of loneliness flashed in her eyes, and she shook her head gently and said, "Companions? I don't have any companions."

"No?" Xu Mo raised his eyebrows slightly, with a hint of doubt in his eyes.

He clearly remembered that in the original drama, Magna appeared with her team members Yumiko, Connie, Kelly, and Luke. However, that was ten years after the apocalypse, and it was only two months since the apocalypse broke out. It was normal that Magna did not meet them at this time.
