"Mr. Wang, please stop!" The flight attendant couldn't bear it any longer and interrupted the repairman's careless remarks. In just a few words, he had revealed a series of propaganda traps that could be used to operate. If the video was obtained by someone with ulterior motives, the group's interests would suffer serious losses.
"Well, I think we can have a frank talk." The captain sighed. "How about we start by exchanging names?"
"It should have been done long ago." Jiang Ling replied.
The repairman was shocked: "So you don't know him?"
"Very good." The captain straightened his attire and adjusted his flight attitude, then said seriously, "As you can see, I am the captain of the 'Crescent'!" He emphasized the word "Captain" again. "My surname is Gu, my given name is Chen, and my courtesy name is Huanyu. I have over ten thousand hours of flight experience and a Class B ship piloting qualification. I have completed all astronaut training and assessments..."
"That's enough, that's enough." Jiang Ling waved at him. "It's good that you're so confident, but we're not interviewing right now, so there's no need to introduce yourself so comprehensively. Where's the flight attendant?"
"Jiang Xinyi. Jiang as in rivers, lakes and seas." She answered simply.
"Hmm! A very suitable name."
"Oh my! Hey, my name is Wang Hao." The repairman rubbed his head nervously, making two "bang bang" sounds.
"Should I still call you Xiao Wang?"
"Okay, I'm more used to it that way." Wang Hao's tone was obviously calmer.
Seeing that the three had introduced themselves, Jiang Ling stopped hiding anything. She performed a space greeting to each of them and then said, "You can call me by my nickname - 'Boss', or by my code name - 'Devil'."
"Boss?" Wang Hao thought he had misheard.
Captain Gu raised his eyebrows subtly, as if realizing Jiang Ling's difference. In his opinion, those who concealed their true identities at all costs were either ruthless criminals or soldiers under strict confidentiality. He silently gestured to Jiang Xinyi, who was trying to speak, and then said tentatively, "It seems our communication has failed from the very beginning."
"No, I think we can make more progress." Jiang Ling said, looking at the data on the helmet display. "We still have three hours. If we start now, we might be a little late."
The only young man present noticed that the atmosphere in the cabin was not right, so he lowered his head and remained silent.
Captain Gu stared into her eyes and said something that was not quite related to what he said before: "I remember that there are no people with green eyes in the group."
"Of course. After all, your group is too small in my eyes." Jiang Ling smiled, and his eyes became softer.
"I am the captain of this ship!" he suddenly shouted.
"Yes, you always have been." Jiang Ling admitted.
"I am responsible for my crew and passengers!"
"Of course, this is your responsibility and obligation."
"Tell me, what should I do now?"
"Ahem." Jiang Ling coughed at his sudden change of heart, then carefully considered her words before saying, "Pack up the supplies, take your people to the front of the command module, then close the hatch and secure yourself. We'll see you on the ground."
"Did you hear that?" Gu Chen once again asserted his authority as captain. "Xiao Wang, Chief Purser! Hurry and move all the emergency supplies over!"
