This hotel, originally the Xiaoqing Restaurant, is not a top-notch restaurant after all. Even though its internal and external ratings are quite excellent, its budget is not so luxurious as to allow waiters to provide one-on-one service. So while waiting for the food to be served, Qin Zhongquan was fortunate to see the entire restaurant without attracting attention.
Similar to the first impression upon entering, the hotel's interior decor also features a minimalist, retro style. The walls of the lobby are primarily gray, highlighting the pristine white floor. A few paintings are adorned on them, but they don't look overly expensive. A black pillar stands in the center of the lobby. Besides the broken machine, there's a crescent-shaped stage facing the bar. On the stage are some musical instruments Qin Zhongquan doesn't recognize. They show some signs of use, but not much. Apparently, they're only used for significant occasions. The ceiling of the lobby is so black that the chandeliers resemble stars at night, eliminating the sense of oppression. The light isn't glaring; instead, it provides a unique warmth to the dim environment.
Small, uniformly designed gray round tables and matching high chairs were neatly arranged throughout the hall. Qin Zhongquan couldn't discern any pattern, but overall, there wasn't much of a sense of chaos. He saw several groups of people sitting not far from him. Unlike his solitary self, they were mostly in pairs, and most were men. Of course, the others were also cautiously observing him. Qin Zhongquan's gazes met more than once, and he quickly averted them.
There are not many strangers that he cares about, they are just the rare noble opposite sex in the world.
A red-haired woman from the Southern Union sat about fifteen meters away from him, closer to the main entrance. Qin Zhongquan could only see her profile, illuminated by the light, a charming smile. She was tall and straight, her loose casual clothes obscuring most of her figure, making it difficult to see clearly. However, her compact, three-dimensional features revealed her to be a well-proportioned figure. Qin Zhongquan could guess her identity based on the people sitting at her table—most likely a bandit who had turned bandit.
The other girl looked young, the type Qin Zhongquan had little interest in. However, judging by her fair skin and lustrous light blue hair, she clearly wasn't the type to withstand the sun, even though she dressed like a tomboy. Near this girl, several others seemed wary, their muscles tense, ready for any eventuality. It was easy to imagine their weapons already poised beneath the table—but what exactly they were guarding against was unclear.
There was another table hidden in the corner of the hall. Its specific appearance was not very clear. The leader was facing Qin Zhongquan. He seemed to read a hint of curiosity in her bright violet eyes.
[Interesting, unexpected person, I hope you can stick with me for a while.] Qin Zhongquan immediately received the message after blinking his purple eyes.
[Really? And who are you?] Qin Zhongquan replied calmly.
[We? No, no, no, I'm only representing myself. Just a reminder, you're quite powerful, so be careful not to get caught up in their clash.]
【Why do you say that? 】
[There's no doubt that everyone who comes here is fighting for the return of the enemy. Am I right?]
Qin Zhongquan leaned back in his chair, resting one leg on the crossbar beneath the round table. He relaxed and stroked his chin. "Indeed, since we'll have plenty of dealings in the future... then what's your name?"
[Hmph, Qin Xiaoxian.] Purple Eyes propped up his chin with his hand.
[Hey, you're from the main family? ]
[Oh, you didn't know? You're incredibly lucky, haven't you met anyone else along the way? It's okay to tell you, all the chosen ones have the last name Qin!]
