"How's it going? How's it going? Did you really get it?" The old man seemed a different person the moment he entered this secret space surrounded by prefabricated houses. He rubbed his hands together, sweat dripping down his neck from excitement. The sweat mixed with the iron filings and grease on his neck, leaving several dark yellow stains on his work clothes.
Jiang Ling placed the package on the ground and used her telekinesis to find a small piece of sharp scrap metal nearby. Then, she carefully cut open the garbage bag, revealing the military-style weapon pack inside. After creating a fist-sized hole, she casually tossed the metal back into its place, tore open the several garbage bags it was wrapped in, and then unzipped it. Several black-painted metal objects emerged from the zipper.
"Okay! Okay! Let me take a closer look!" The old man began to tremble with excitement when he saw the armed bag. He said several "Okays" in a row. After Jiang Ling unzipped it, he came forward and touched the objects inside with his fingers.
Jiang Ling was startled by the repairman's sudden approach. She quickly stood up and took two steps back.
The old man, with a look of reverence as if he had seen a divine artifact, reverently removed each module from the package and placed them around him. He remained in this state until everything was out. Then, a moment of panic crossed his face, and he scanned his surroundings several times. He seemed to have discovered something, and felt around in the weapon bag a few more times. Then, he turned the bag upside down and shook it. Seeing nothing fall out, his expression immediately turned bitter: "Gone? How come it's gone?"
"What's gone?"
"A helmet, and several additional modules!"
"It's all here. I haven't touched it."
"That's not easy!"
"Can it be fixed?"
"These things are all good, but I don't know where the bad ones have gone! I can't make something that doesn't exist appear!"
"Master, don't be so anxious. Tell me what's missing first, and I'll write it down!"
"Head core, charging core, life monitoring system module, fire control module, anti-theft locking module, and buffer module."
"Anything else?"
"All that's left is weapons, weapons specifically designed for exoskeletons!"
"Do you have any channels to get those things?"
"Yes, there are, but it costs a lot of points, and these things lack maintenance! How about it?"
"Okay!" Jiang Ling immediately understood his plan and agreed without hesitation.
"That's great, let's add a communication code!"
Jiang Ling pulled out the terminal and wrote down the old man's communication code: "Sun Hao? Master Sun?"
The old man nodded: "I'll let you know as soon as I have any news!"
Jiang Ling didn't intend to be so passive, and she didn't think she could fix the exoskeleton in a short time, so she decided to delegate the power: "I'll transfer some points to you first. You don't need a whole set. You can fix it module by module!"
Master Sun nodded solemnly upon hearing this, and then he said that he was an honest businessman and guaranteed to help Jiang Ling fix the thing.
