Time at Donghai Station seemed to be deliberately avoiding someone. When Jiang Ling woke up by chance, she found that she was about to say goodbye to the last day of 2055.
Watching the trainees complete their various exercises wasn't particularly engaging; it could even be described as tedious. Each movement was repeated dozens or even hundreds of times, much like the breakdown of drills for new recruits. According to an instructor who wished to remain anonymous, it was better to memorize the movements through the muscles rather than the brain, as this would reduce the likelihood of errors. She speculated that once they became proficient, they might even be able to achieve the same effect while sleepwalking.
Different from the originally agreed plan, many subjects related to zero-gravity training were added later - this was mainly related to an old friend - and it lasted for about half a year. Jiang Ling finally saw hope of completing the work.
The culprit responsible for her overtime was Tang Wanzhou. Jiang Ling hadn't expected that she would be the last candidate to reach the training target. During every training mission, she was like a giant panda in a zoo, surrounded by a swarm of researchers. When she finally received the stamp of approval, they seemed even more excited than she was.
For some reason, Jiang Ling did not rush over to say hello. She just watched the strange celebration below through the screen - the researchers held hands and surrounded Sister Tang in the middle, and remained relatively still with the training room. Then several of them pulled Tang Wanzhou, causing her to start spinning around the central axis perpendicular to the plane of the researchers.
This kind of celebration is much more interesting and safer than throwing the person into the air. If Sister Tang wants to stop, she only needs to grab any researcher around her with her hand. Of course, the premise is that Jiang Ling's mental power output remains stable.
She was very patient and waited until the crowd had dispersed before she returned to her human form as usual, changed into the prepared clothes in the spherical room, and then took the automatic elevator back to her temporary dormitory area.
The door lock had a very sensitive sense of smell. Before Jiang Ling got close to the door handle, it automatically opened a gap, revealing the situation inside.
The room, which should have been a mess, was now neatly tidied. The blue and white panties that had been hanging at the head of the bed were gone, replaced by a quilt folded into a tofu block. Jiang Ling's first reaction was that she had been robbed; she hadn't remembered keeping her room tidy.
"Who the hell comes to my room to make trouble?!" She yelled and kicked the door open. The door handle hit the wall with a dull "clang" sound.
This kind of thing is no longer uncommon in the dormitory area. Only a few heads popped out to take a look, and then quickly shrank back.
Inside the room were two women sitting opposite each other. They had set up a tea table by the window, with a teapot still steaming. They were both looking at Jiang Ling—and she knew both of them.
"What? You don't welcome me?" one of them asked.
Jiang Ling pretended nothing had happened, quickly glanced around, and walked into the door awkwardly, closing it behind her. Then, scratching her head, she leaned against her bed and said, "I, I thought you weren't coming back!"
"Remember when you first came here? There was an accident with her implant surgery, so she stayed in the hospital for observation for a while." The third person replied.
"I told you that thing is unreliable, Aunt Qin?" Jiang Ling said.
"Hey, hey, that's too much! I'm only slightly older than you, so I should call you sister, right?"
