Chapter 27 Underwater F4

There was a click, and a crack appeared on the back of the exoskeleton. Then the entrance opened, revealing the interior.

"You're quite skilled!" Political Commissar Xiao praised.

"Nothing, this place hasn't changed." Jiang Ling said modestly. She paused, then looked at the political commissar: "You do it, or should I?"

“Ladies first!”

Political Commissar Xiao suddenly felt very tired, so he stared at the exoskeleton, swallowed, and took a half step back.

Jiang Ling raised the corners of her mouth slightly, raised her foot and put it into the exoskeleton. Her toes immediately touched some soft materials. Those materials had a certain thermal insulation ability, but she didn't really need it.

The exoskeleton was quite spacious inside, and after she bent over and crawled in, she discovered a layer of magic stickers on the front of her stomach. This interesting material made it easy to stick some equipment on, or to stuff other things in there, such as food to replenish energy, emergency supplies, or repair tools.

The space on her chest where the data center should have been had been replaced with a palm-sized control panel. Jiang Ling looked down and saw it was very similar to a terminal, perhaps the same device. She tapped it lightly, and the screen quickly lit up, and the visor mirrored the screen.

"System self-check." Jiang Ling tried to say to the exoskeleton.

A few lines of text immediately appeared on the screen:

【System self-checking...】

New operator detected, basic exoskeleton functionality enabled. Exoskeleton functioning normally, shell unlocked. Energy remaining at 40%, estimated usable time 40 hours. Pressure and oxygen levels normal.

[Generation log 2055-0521-01.]

"The situation is good." Jiang Ling turned around and shouted outside, then pulled the handle behind him to close the entrance of the exoskeleton.

She used her eyes to manipulate the visor a few times, calling up the exoskeleton's operating manual, and then used voice search to find the data core interface. The location was different from before, having been moved to near the shoulder.

Reading the data in the core, replacing her own operator profile, and adjusting operating preferences. Jiang Ling was already very proficient in these operations, having done them many times before.

Soon, all the functions of the exoskeleton were unlocked. She controlled it to slowly walk towards the shelf in the cabin, carefully hung it on the supporting structure, then turned off the exoskeleton's power according to the procedure and crawled out.

"How do you feel?" Political Commissar Xiao immediately asked her, his eyes reflecting red light, as if he had found a treasure.

"I haven't used most of the functions, and I feel like there haven't been many changes." Jiang Ling sat on an empty cargo box, recalling his feelings.

"When did you learn this? The fourth generation seems to have only been in small-scale production for a few months."

"Yesterday? Or was it last night? Old Ning shared his memories with me, and I took a look at them while I was sleeping. There weren't many changes."
