Chapter 102: The Quiet Earth-Moon Lagrange Point L2 (Fifty-Five)

The mission itself meant little to the crew on paid leave. Given their ultimate goal, the number of people who actually needed clean identities to travel to Venus was relatively small; at best, they could fill an interplanetary shuttle. The most crucial aspect of this mission was that they had to find time to wait for someone. Without that professional's help, none of these roughnecks would be able to handle the ensuing task.

Qin Zhongquan arranged himself in the first group, and then led the twenty people following behind him. Despite the envious gazes of others, he was the first to board the transport boat in the hangar and flew to the beautiful planet that occupied most of the porthole.

The chaos of the network collapse has already appeared. The giant corporations on Earth have no intention of checking the foreign spacecraft. The entire low-Earth orbit space is unobstructed. In theory, they will not be expelled by the planetary defense force when going anywhere. However, their first stop has already been determined, that is, the specialized hospital near the star port that treats gravity allergies.

For these mercenaries, who have spent years navigating the universe, gravity is a symbol of both beauty and pain. Sometimes, it's like a sugar-coated bullet coated in beautiful pigments; only when you actually consume it do you realize its profound impact. As the landing gear touches the anchor point, dizziness, breathing difficulties, allergic hypotension, muscle weakness, and a tachycardia... a series of adverse reactions ensue, and even someone as sensitive as Qin Zhongquan wouldn't be immune.

Some people fell down after walking a few steps, and some people simply couldn't get up from the flight seat. This situation is very common in the universe. Fortunately, the hospital that Qin Zhongquan contacted in advance quickly sent a professional team - but the price was quite high.

The interior of the transport boat was large enough. Except for a few guys in more serious conditions, everyone else received medical assistance on the spot. Qin Zhongquan recovered after receiving an injection of fast-acting medicine worth 2,000 Universal Dollars. After resting for about ten minutes, he walked down the folding gangway of the transport boat from the small door on the side.

It was roughly noon, and the warm sunlight evenly bathed him in tranquility, bringing a long-lost sense of peace. He raised a hand to block the glaring sky and gazed higher into the distance. A pale golden pyramid-shaped landmark appeared on the left side of his field of vision, its edges gilded by the sunlight, lending it a vibrant and energetic appearance. The pyramid and its surrounding buildings were situated in a fascinating way; only from a distance could one truly grasp their full appearance. Qin Zhongquan's lips curled slightly, a giant sundial imprinted in his pupils. He imagined what it would feel like to stand at the pinnacle. It seemed as if he were surrounded by stars, aloof and majestic. But from a higher vantage point, the corporate executives seemed like mere mortals—a bunch of insects in the sun, no essential difference.

Looking back to the front, a black modified extended commercial vehicle was parked not far away. There was no driver, but there was a holographic image projected next to the car door.

Qin Zhongquan approached the car, and the holographic image immediately bowed. "Dear client, your ordered intercity private security transport package has been activated. If you have any other requests, please call the dedicated voice line behind the seat."

"No need for anything, just open the door, I'm going to the suburbs now."

The doors on both sides opened automatically, like a swan spreading its wings.

Qin Zhongquan sat in the car with ease. The car door closed immediately, and then he felt a vibration. The scenery outside the window fell rapidly and moved backwards.
